Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Near Legoland - Carlsbad

Rooms were very clean and spacious. Parking very convenient. Disappointed that the hotel did not have a spa. Continental Breakfast was nice but felt uneasy with management eyes watching everyone. Not a welcoming feeling.

This place was perfect for me and my kids on vacation. Literally minutes from the beach & Legoland. Not to mention, Carlsbad is very beautiful & quaint. Only 35-40 minutes from San Diego. The rooms are remodeled and very nice & clean. Free breakfast, internet & Parking. :)

I will say overall was an excellent hotel. It was a great price per night and included breakfast. The breakfast was ok. It came with free parking and free internet. The internet worked excellent, and very fast.

My stay in this hotel was great. Easy to access from the highway. The internet did not work very well. I had to wait a couple of hours in order to make it to work, but finally it worked. Overall great room, great service, great breakfast! Close to Legoland CA. Great price.

For the money, this place was very comfortable. The room was spotless and the maids did an amazing job every day. Downside was wifi was only in lobby or the last room (by the lobby) and also 50 ft. from Interstate 5! If you can sleep through the traffic. The staff was also very helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff person was great, informative and had a kind disposition. That made me comfortable about being there alone. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast the next day was good and unexpected, so for me the overall experience was satisfying. No complaints. I did leave something in the room and didn't know till […] that night when I got home. I called and they were reasurring they would check on the item I left. The next day I called to check and the staff was very nice and followed with a return phone call to tell me they found my item. I was so pleased because int he past, if you leave something you can count it as lost. But they proved to show there some business that do care and will not take from you on the basis of "finders keepers".. So I am thankful and will probably use this motel again in the future. Devamı

The location is very convenient. The staff is very freindly. We felt safe and comfortable with 2 kids. Breakfast was very good.

This place is clean. In a pretty good location. They were willing to let us have an extra hour of sleep the next day. We didn't have to check out at the EXACT time as everybody else. Of course, we didn't get in til really also. I would stay here again.

The room was clean and well maintained. Customer service was on point....For the price you can't beat it. One of the best hotel I stayed in. The Econo Lodge hotel room outshine some of the big name hotel rooms in vegas. Keep up the good job!!!

Stayed.for a tournament nearby. We had to depart by 6;30am unfortunatly breakfast doesnt begin until 7am, and when we tried to leave @ 7 thinking we could grab a quick coffee they werent ready for another 20mins. We did grab the coffee but was def not worth it. However room was great and clean. Friendly staff. Would def stay again.

I initially tried to reserve a room at a different hotel but it was booked, so this was my next option. I'm glad plan A did not work out. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and service of the hotel/room and staff. The bed was very comfortable, there were tons of pillows and outlets, which whas a huge plus. I don't normally write reviews for hotel stays but this place exceeded our expectations. Quality of facilities and continental breakfast were equal to or better than lodging costing twice as much. Great facility, very clean and roomy. Had a room closest to the highway and couldn't hear a sound. Front desk staff was friendly and professional.

Econo Lodge is not synonymous with style, class, or cleanliness, but this Econo IS most definitely. Completely renovated, not tons of amazing amenities, but if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet 1-2 nights with a nice bed, clean and well maintained room, flat panel TV, large bathroom with new tile, Kohler tub, great water pressure, etc. this […] is it. Right off the freeway. Room was located in back of the complex so the sounds from the road were pretty minimal. The owner/manager initially had us in a room that smelled of smoke pretty bad. For an asthmatic with bad allergies and running a marathon the next day I could not handle it. Asked to switch rooms, no issue, very accommodating. The new room was same layout and just as nice. I have honestly stayed in some lower end Hilton Gardens type of places that were not at the same overall quality. Slept like a baby. Qualified for the Boston Marathon. close to carlsbad village and beach. breakfast in the morning was awesome. juice,name brand cereals,hard boiled eggs,toast,danishes,coffee. all in a eating area with a t.v. and cafateria type seating.

The room is very spaciius. Airconditioner works very well. Serves good breakfast. The noise from the freeway doesn't really bothers. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you econolodge.

We had a nice experience with this hotel. The room was clean, breakfast is good. Good location and easy access to other commercial establishment. We will definitely recommend this to our friends.

When we checked in, my husband didn't want a room on the 2nd floor (no elevator). The room available was the handicapped room which was ok but the carpet was filthy. I don't know if that was because it was handicapped or if all the rooms carpets were dirty. I didn't want my bare feet to touch the carpet. There was only one small soap for both shower […] and sink. Super friendly staff and a really clean room. Being next to the freeway made it easy to get around and the noise is not that bad, you just can't leave the window open if it bothers you.

The price was right and this hotel is very well maintained...neat and clean always. We'd stay here again. Close to a great town and sites without the price being too high. Easy drive to nearby beach and good restaurants.

I stayed here for total of 8 nights for work-related purposes. The place was remodeled in 2010 so all the amenities were in great condition: nice bedding, bright lighting, flat screen TV, plenty of outlet plugs, and very clean. The young gentleman from the front desk is very very helpful. The woman who seems to own the place is not always as friendly. […] The only problem I had in one of my rooms is the door does not shut that easily--you will literally have to slam the door for it to lock. Other than that, it was a very pleasant, clean stay especially for the rates. Close to the freeway and the noise was not bothersome at all! This is the only hotel i've ever been in that did not provide ESPN as a television selection. I personally won't stay there again.

This hotel is a little scary when you pull in. Very dated and not a great area. However the front desk was exceptional and the rooms were modern and clean.

This motel is well ran and nicely upgraded. Free WiFi is convenient, and the complimentary breakfast is an excellent perk. I only wish all motels were this nice! Close to Legoland, just two exits away!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights . Very nice, clean, comfortable. They have nice breakfast : fresh made waffles, juice. We are coming back!!!!!! I would recommend this hotel .

I agree with all the previous posts about the convenience to Legoland, price, and family friendliness of the hotel being the main reasons for the stay. We stayed one night, and the heater in our room was totally busted. After 15 min. of the maintenance crew working to fix it they finally let us transfer rooms. Which isn't a huge amount of time to anyone, […] except when you are holding sleeping babies waiting to settle in for the night. Which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. We stayed here last weekend, for a quick trip to Legoland for our son. Most of the other people there were also families going to Legoland. The people working at the motel are extremely nice. The sound of the highway is unavoidable---it really depends on your tolerance. If you are from a very quiet neighborhood or live out in the country, I doubt you […] will sleep well. If you are from the city, you will be just fine. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the place and the size of the room, for the price. The Econo Lodge was average for the price, not in a good location at all. Right next to the freeway you can hear it all night. Kinda far from any restaurants, or places to eat. I hate going to a hotel and having to search to find an outlet to plug in my phone or computer. Or having to unplug a light or clock. But not here. There are switches and outlets at very convenient places and lots of them. I love it. It was very comfy and clean and although very close to the freeway, you could not hear it at night as all. It did smell […] a little funny to me, maybe just a used smell, but my friend says its just me and my sensitive nose. All in all good nights sleep. Oh and the shower had fairly good pressure too. The room appears to have been recently remodeled. Everything is new. Flat screen TV, free wi-fi that works, comfortable bed, large room, bathroom and even closet. Very clean and spacious. The location is only a short drive to downtown Carlsbad and the beach. This motel is right off the freeway, so there is freeway noise even in the room. definitely way better than the one we stayed in Santa Barbara for the same price. the hotel is nice and new, the double queen bed room was spacious and clean. true, it's right next to the freeway and traffic is pretty loud, but it's nothing that a pair of ear plugs can't fix. bed was a little soft, so I wouldn't recommend staying there if you have back […] problems. they had a good selection of breakfast. it's close to legoland and close to downtown carlsbad and the beach. plenty of parking. will definitely stay there again. The hotel was perfect for our family. Yes it is next to I-5 and can be noisy but it was just white noise to us. There is a great local restaurant 2 blocks away that we walked to and only 6 blocks to downtown Carlsbad. Lots of parks nearby for the kids. Great owners of the hotel. We arrived early and they expedited getting our room cleaned and ready […] for us 3 hours early! We never heard any other guests at the hotel. We only stayed here 2 nights while doing a day @ Legoland. It's super close (2 mi. maybe), and the beach is just down the street! Great restaurant right around the corner w/fantastic cinnamon rolls. The hotel does have a continental breakfast, which isn't bad if you are just looking for free and aren't concerned about a filling breakfast. There was […] cereal, hard boiled eggs, waffles, small muffins and danishes. We did eat it one morning, but needed something a little more substantial the 2nd day, so chose the restaurant around the corner. The room was a decent size, and had a fridge and microwave. I expected the stay to be ok, but quite honestly I was impressed the rooms where clean the help was nice & the free breakfast was good. The only bad thing about this hotel isd that they market to have free wi-fi but in actuallality it's only in the hotel lobby other than that I had a great time and it was seriously 10 minutes away from Legoland & about […] 15 minutes away from the beach (walking distance). This hotel worked out extremely well for our visit to Legoland. It was < 10 minutes from Legoland and not far from restaurants in Carlsbad. Several other reviews mentioned the noise from the highway -- it was audible from the room, even toward the back of the hotel, but was not a problem (although more sound-proof doors and windows would be great). […] We actually had more problems with a squeaky bathroom door. There was no coffee in-room, but a good breakfast provided (waffles, pastries, toast, fruit, juices, coffee, cereal). The staff was quiet, but very friendly and helpful.
