Hotel Villa Franca - Positano

very definitely best roof,panorama and room..

Stayed here for 4 nights last week in Room 45. Bedroom itself was lovely with great views from the balcony but the bathroom, as previous guest have mentioned in Nov 11 still has mould on the ceiling and was in need of a repaint. The Pool is on the top floor above this room and we wonder if there is damp coming through? Hotel on the whole very good. […] The season really starts in Positano on 1st March, so not too many restaurants were open prior to this and Hotel restaurant only serving what I would class as ready meals. That said, it was nice and quiet and we had a wonderful time. Excellent food in Chez Black on the opening night. Devamı

We stayed at Villa Franca for 3 nights. The hotel had the most amazing view of the coast and we were upgraded to a lovely room with a bigger balcony. (Rm 33). Price was very reasonable considering the location. Staff were lovely, especially Franco (I think that was his name), he was always there when needed and always went above and beyond. Menu's […] were a little basic, but I guess that was due to it being the off season, but what we ate was excellent. We also organised a babysitter for our son for one night so we could venture out. She was wonderful and came recommended by the hotel. Thanks for a lovely stay Villa Franca. Devamı

My husband and I stayed at this hotel (Room #45) and we were very disappointed with the condition of the bathroom. It has lots of mold on the ceiling and on the side walls. The toilet space is innadequate. We found ourselves resting our arms on the sink counter while we we're taking care of "business". The rest of the room was nice and very comfortable. […] We just felt that we paid a lot of money for a deteriorated room. Also, we went to dinner at the hotel's restaurant and nothing was fresh. The waiter told us they prepare the meals/dinners early in the morning and then they heat them up when you order them at dinner time. I don't think I would stay at this hotel again. This hotel is a little diificult to get to especially from the ferry (but that is true for most hotels in Positano). However the transport hassles are worth it. Lovely rooms, excellent service, fabulous views over Positano, nice swimming pool on roof top. Can thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful hotel and the scenery from our balcony was breathtaking! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Pool had a nice bar to eat or have drinks and the pool also overlooked the beach and town below. Breakfast was great and I wish we stayed more than 2 nights. Next visit I will!

Fantastic property. We stayed at Hotel Franca at the end of a 3 week trip and it was the best way to end our Italian holiday. Rooms were immaculately clean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Location was spectacular and the shuttle service saved our sore aching feet at the end of the day. Would stay again in a minute. Only downside was that we […] couldn't get Wi-Fi coverage in the room (on the balcony it was ok) but throughout the main hotel area it was fine. Devamı

Wow! A very nice stay in Positano, Italy. I would definitely stay again. Small hotel with resort feel. Staff very helpful and nice! Hotel was closer to what they call the city center and bus stop but since this city is on hillside one would consider the city enter towards the base. That did not matter as they had free shuttle to and from base of city […] where popular restaurants and shops are and beach area. They have a Spa which I did not use but prices for treatments looked reasonable to U.S. prices. The hotel pool is on the roof of hotel and over looks the city and beautiful ocean. Very nice! Our room decoration was modern and nice and we had a cute little balcony that had a view of the ocean. The room size was nice... bigger than the Italy standard. Flat screen TV in room with U.S. Channels. We ate at the hotel restaurant the both nights we stayed there. The food was fantastic! Lobster and pasta which was terrific! In comparison to other hotels the price and accommodations were perfect! Devamı

Great hotel. Good location. Shuttle bus takes you to town, but only certain hours, and can be unreliable. LONG walk back, uphill. Nice breakfast. Owner/manager not very friendly. Beautiful rooms with amazing views. Lovely bathrooms.

Hotel was very nice. Great rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. Could not connect to Wifi from the separate building we were in but could go to the main lobby plus they had 2 computers you can use. Would have liked to be nearer to the main shopping area. When we asked about where we could go shopping or eat, we had a little communication problem. We stayed at the Villa Franca Hotel in mid January 2011. The hotel was beautiful and met are expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was really perfect, as well. The only problem during our stay was some loud clanking that occurred one night while we were trying to sleep. It sounded like water pipes that had gotten air […] in them although I was never able to determine the cause. That being said, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. Views were unbelievable. After visiting Amalfi, Ravello and Positano, Positano is definitely our favorite. Devamı

This hotel is a very quaint with lots of charm and character. The balcony view was great overlooking Positano. The room was small but comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We only stayed one night and would definitly stay there again in the future.

This is a great hotel. Top of Positano with views to kill for. Make sure you ask for rooms that look at the village and the ocean. The staff is superb. It really is a four star. The wait staff during dinner and breakfast go out of their way. A tall gentlemen with a mustache was the best waiter I have had in my European trips. Hotel Villa Franca was an oasis at the end of a long stay in Italy. We picked Positano after a week of city traveling and as luck would have it we also picked the most beautiful hotel. Everything about this hotel deserves 5 stars. The staff was friendly, professional and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was memorable. The food was outstanding […] and the views were breath taking. Our standard room has an ocean view and a balcony and I think i took 500 pictures of the mountains and ocean from the rooftop pool. This hotel was excelptional. Rooms were quaint, extremely clean and well kept. Breakfast was awesome. Food, both breakfast and dinner was of high quality and beautifully prepared. Views from this hotel are remarkable and 80% of the staff were exceptionally welcoming and accomodating. Exceptional accomodations.

Do not go for room 23. This is situated next to the housekeeping service door so unless you wish to be woken at 6am by banging doors , footsteps and chat, avoid. We complained and were moved to a delightful room in the Annexe. All in all a very well run and pleasant hotel with excellent, friendly staff.

Beautiful, romantic hotel with outstanding views of the Amalfi Coast and beach. Decorating was fabulous, as was the service and restaurant. Included breakfast was delightful. Rooftop pool was crystal clear. Staff was extremely friendly. Lots of stairs down to the beach, but a free shuttle bus was available. They had a spa we did not use.

This hotel is a top notch hotel. Everything was wonderful. My only concern was our room was located in the annex building down the street which was not convenient during a downpour when we got drenched. It would have been helpful for the desk to provide a towel and hairdryer before we went into dinner. Otherwise it was wonderful!

This is a wonderful hotel with breathtaking views and impeccable service. I would highly recommend Villa Franca to anyone who visits Positano.

The hotel was beautiful. The location was great. It was at the top of the mountain with beautiful views. My only complaint was the shuttle schedule was very odd. The last shuttle of the day to go down the mountain was 11AM and the next shuttle to go back up was at 5:00 PM. From 11AM to 5 PM you had to either walk up a very long way or you had to take […] an expensive cab ride. If the shuttle ran all day it would have been perfect. Devamı

Best view in Postiano! I would stay there again and recommend to ALL of my friends. It is approx. 10 min walk via steep stairs but again I would not let that deter myself from staying here. Amazing location! Beautiful view! Great service! Very nice hotel! Recommended to all unless you are unable to climb stairs.

My two best friends and I started our vacation at Hotel Villa Franca. The room was spacious, the view was spectacular and the staff was extremely helpful. The complimentary shuttle came in handy for returning back "up" to the hotel.

지대가 가장 높은곳에 있어 바다쪽 내려가기 쫌 불편하지만 경치와 버스타는곳 픽업이 잘되있어서 괜찮았고 호텔이야 4성급 맞게 잘 되있어서 개인적으로는 너무 좋았어요

Mycket fint hotell, högst upp i Positano. Hotellet har egen shuttle buss om man inte orkar gå upp från stranden eller restaurangen på kvällen. Utsikten är fantastisk. Mycket fin pool på taket. Utsökt frukost och bra service. Kan verkligen rekommendera.
