Koa Kea Hotel & Resort - Koloa

This was a great find! Thanks for all the reviews which sold me. If you're looking for a quiet smaller property for you and your spouse to relax this is the spot. One of our best dinners we had was at the Koa Kea.

We travelled here after we had been to Waikiki and it was such a peaceful change. Its a beautiful hotel in a great location.

We really loved this place!! the aloha was flowing all around from the moment we stepped out of the car. We were greeted at the door and welcomed into the registration desk. our room wasn't quite ready so we had lunch at the bar outside. The bar was called to let us know our room was ready. the room was beautiful, elegant and flavored with Aloha. We […] had chocolate mac nuts, with a personal welcome card. The esspresso machine was wonderful. the BATHROOM was dreamy. and the bed was top of the line comfy, cosey. the staff was unreal!!! they were so helpful and service oriented. the food was absolutely wonderful. we were right on the beach. we did not spend enough time at the hotel so we plan on going back to just stay there!!! fabulous! This is a superb boutique hotel that I will stay at whenever I go back to Kauai. From the food to the staff to the room - all simply well done.

This hotel is a solid 4* hotel. We had a garden view room which gave us much privacy and you could actually see the ocean through the plants. Service was great and beds were very comfortable.

Great location on the beach, nice views and excellent service. Rooms were clean and beds were amazingly comfortable.

This is a great place for anybody who wants to spend their time watching the waves or playing on the beach. The intimate feel of Koa Kea's pool and beach area are much nicer than the timeshares next door. Its fairly central location in Poipu also make it convenient for visiting all the sites on Kauai. Based on pictures, I had visions of breakfast on […] our lanai in the mornings, but the size of the lanai combined with the partial ocean view didn't really allow that. If you can afford it, go with the full ocean view. I didn't think it would be worth the extra money, as the room was pretty high as it was. Also be aware that parking is valet only. So if you tip valets every time you use the car, you soon end up looking for ways to get around not using the car - like picking up a sandwich to eat later in your room instead of going out to dinner after a day of sight-seeing. I also didn't go with a package that included breakfast because I wanted to be flexible - thinking we would order room service or maybe even go out to breakfast somewhere else. Because we did neither, breakfast each morning in the dining room cost us more than it would have to go with a package that included breakfast. Despite these little things, I thought the room was nice. My two biggest things in a hotel room are a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom - both of which Koa Kea took care of. Everything was spotless, the people were very friendly and accommodating, and it really was relaxing watching the waves from the pool bar. Devamı

As soon as you walk in to the hotel you feel a breath of fresh air and relaxation. We had a garden room and were very happy with the view and peacefulness of the garden area. The hotel staff are all very professional and pleasant. I will never stay at another hotel in Kauai.

Koa Kia is a charming find. Definitely, a calming atmosphere with great views. Everyone was personable and geniunely seemed to want you to have a nice time. This hotel was the first of three we stayed in on three islands. It ended up being our favorite by far on all counts. Super clean, most comfortable bed & pillows, and the MOST kind and friendly staff everywhere you turn. From the front desk, the valet, housekeeping, and the restaurant, EACH and EVERY person we came into contact with had a warm and welcoming […] smile and seemed to sing "Aloha" as a greeting. Every person was super accommodating and would go the extra mile like it was nothing. It was a wonderful experience. The bathrooms are beautiful, with huge showers and nice large, fluffy bath towels. The nightly "turn down" service is a nice touch. My husband and I will return to the Ko'a Kea when we are able to return to Kaua'i without question. We stayed here for 6 nights for our Honeymoon and it was fantastic. Right from the greeting as we arrived the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself is very clean and modern and the room was a good size. We had an ocean view wth a good view of the sea. Probably the best thing about the hotel was that it was just […] so relaxed. It wasn't very busy in the hotel when we were there but if you ventured left or right along the beach you had huge resorts that seemed so crowded and chaotic in comparison. The hotel was elegant and yet laid back and relaxing. The whole facility was beautiful and first rate. Great food, cocktails all made with fresh ingredients. The rooms were elegant and homey. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. This was the nicest resort I have ever been to.

Nice rooms...poor amenities. The restaurant which Is supposed to be outstanding was mediocre at best, breakfast was awful, extremely expensive and horrible service, luckily we found out that the hyatt had a breakfast buffet that was outstanding. Only one pool w enough chlorine to net ur eyes and no amenities to hang out on the beach unless u r willing […] to pay an extra 8$ a day for a beach chair. This place is not a place for kids. There aren't waterfalls and a million things to do. So for the families of 10 who plan on bringing your whole crew out for a loudfest with kids crying and yelling and jumping in the pool, please stay away from this quiet adult paradise. We stayed in this hotel for five nights during our honeymoon trip to hawaii. This is a beautiful hotel, right beside the beach with lovely grounds. The room was great with a gorgeous balcony and a large kingsize bed. The bathroom contained a large shower with l'occitane products. The service was fantastic. The consierge looked after us extremely well […] and booked many trips for us. The valets were also great for giving us information on the surrounding area. The koa kea exceeded all of my expectations! This hotel is better described as a boutique hotel. My stay was so good I want to keep it a secret so that it doesn't get too busy for my next trip. Honestly the only negative thing I have to say is that they need bendy straws at the pool bar. Make sure you eat at the hotel restaurant, they make there own […] truffles and gelato there. We've stayed at many elegant, trendy, and upscale hotels and this was by far the best location, grounds, simplicity mixed with comfort, and staff we've ever experienced.

We chose the Koa Kea for our honeymoon over the "mega resorts" in the are and couldn't be happier. The service was attentive but not stuffy, great location in the heart of Poipu and a great value. Very nice hotel, right on the best spot of the island. Good surfing & snorkelling directly in front. Smaller place that is more convenient & peaceful than the larger surrounding resorts.

Our three day stay at the Koa Kea far exceeded our already-high expectations. We were warmly greeted by the valet, given a tour at check in and even given access to a departure lounge (basically a full room) before we checked out. Finding was a bit challenging, you have to keep going back toward the water, past the Marriott to find it. But once we were there, it was great. Wonderful checking experience, rooms were gorgeous. Awesome in-room espresso machine! We had wonderful beach view, made for AWESOME sunsets on the lanai. Wonderful staff and rooms. Hotels decor is trendy modern, […] and very nice. Brand new, upscale, contemporary, stylish boutique hotel on the beach in the heart of Poipu. My wife and I stayed eight days, and I would not change one thing. If you want a very big, busy hotel that caters to family activities, try the Sheraton or Hyatt. But if quiet, sleek, and stylish is what you're after, this is your hotel. We just stayed at KoaKea for a week and had a very relaxing time there. It is definitely not the place for someone who wants a "total resort" experience, but that is not what we wanted. The rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed--the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced. The bathroom was large and had a great shower. They […] are located adjacent to a beach (which is shared with other properties). The waters are more suited, however, to surfers and possibly snorklers rather than casual swimmers and bathers (but this is also true of many beaches on Kauai). Nonetheless the sunsets are beautiful from this point. The hotel has a very nice pool area and beautiful (albeit small) lobby. The gym was one the best I have used at any hotel--large or small. They have one main restaurant called Red Salt--we ate there twice, but I have to admit that I was very disappointed with the selections on the menu and the quality of the food. It was also extraordinarily expensive compared to other comparable restaurants on that part of Kauai. Room service also had a limited menu, but the selections were more interesting, tasted better and were more appropriately priced. They have Nespresso coffee machines in the rooms, but they only provide six pods of coffee (three regular, three decaf) for the entire stay. Housekeeping (and front desk staff) referred us to the "boutique" where we had to purchase a box of ten for a little over ten dollars. Despite my criticisms, this is a very nice hotel and we enjoyed staying there a great deal. Devamı

空港から車で40分ほどの場所にありました。入り口は少しわかりにくかったです。また、車は駐車場に自由に停められないので、毎回、ドアマンに車の出し入れを依頼する必要があります。部屋は快適ですが、バスタブがないのが唯一残念です。ベランダにはガーデンテーブルが設置されていて、飲食などもできます。パーシャルオーシャンビューの部屋でしたが、海が近く、毎夕、サンセットをベランダから眺めながら過ごしました。プールサイドバーもレストランも食事が美味しかったです。レストランではお寿司も食べられます。私が滞在した際にはマグロ、サーモン、はまちがありました。ケイさんという日本人スタッフがいらっしゃいましたので、日本語での情報もいろいろと入手できました。一番感動したのは、ビーチでのスノーケルです。ホテルでツールを借り […] てビーチに出ると、夥しい数のフムフムヌクヌクアプアアやニードルフィッシュ（レストランバーで名前を教えていただきました）などの様々な魚たちに出会えました。 Devamı

酒店静谧而又亲切，就在南海岸最好的海滩边上，去海滩非常方便，泳池很小，但服务人员非常热情，免费停车，对面就是一个shopping Vallege。整个考艾岛都很淳朴，自然风光极其漂亮，开车去哪里都很容易。旁边总能找到好吃的饭店。如果喜欢自助游而又安静的人很适合这个酒店。

ちょっと贅沢旅行のために利用しました。 立地、眺め、サービスすべてが上質で、セレブ気分を楽しめました。いくつかお願いもしましたが、快く対応していただけて感謝です。 大きなホテルではないですが、その分落ち着いた雰囲気で静かな環境で、波の音を聞きながら部屋から星を眺めたり、素敵な滞在になりました。特に、日暮れから夜、早朝に浪の音を聞きながら部屋でくつろぐのは至上の体験でした。 日本語が分るスタッフも一人いらっしゃったので、英語が苦手な方も安心だと思います。

Boutique stijl hotel. Sfeervolle kamers, prachtige badkamer, heerlijk ontbijt en geweldig diner. Relaxte sfeer, perfect voor stellen minder geschikt voor families. Aardig personeel valer parking.

Bokade efter att ha läst en positiv referens och det blev en fantastisk vistelse. Trevlig mindre resort med hög standard och trevlig personal. Vi hade äventyrat klart innan vi anlände till Koa Kea så vår vistelse bestod av mycket sol och bad vid både pool och i hav. Det var lite dyrt men bra kvalitet på maten på den lokala restaurangen. 5/5!

10/28から友達と2泊しました。インテリアも、建物も、プールも庭もすごくステキなホテルでした！でも、このホテルに泊まった後で2泊したグランドハイ○ットと比較すると、好みの問題ですが、断然、こちらのホテルの方が見劣りしました。ホテルの規模が思ったよりも小さく、レストランも一か所しかありませんでした。連泊する場合、ホテルの外へ出かけて夕食を取る必要があるかと。ただし徒歩圏内にショッピングモールがあって、そこにもレストランがあるのでその点はよかったですが。あと、部屋にバスタブがなかったのは寂しかったな。でも、大規模なホテルより小規模なホテルを好む方、見るからにバブリーなホテルよりもさりげない上品さが好きという方にはおすすめです。

Hotel Maravilhoso, espetacular, nota 10

Ett mindre resort än öns övriga (Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton, etc.) men med mycket hög klass. Ligger utmärkt med egen strandremsa i närheten av Poipu beach. Bra utrymmen vid poolområdet. Mycket bra restaurang för frukost och middag, ngt sämre för lunch. Bra vågor för surf under sommarhalvåret - norra stranden bättre under vintern. Rekommenderas!
