This place was very cheep and has seen better days. Everything was very warn and tattered. The bed was very uncomfortable. I did not enjoy my time here. It was the least expensive hotel in Memphis downtown and now I know why.

Although the hotel staff was pleasant and fairly efficient, the hotel itself was in need of a lot of maintenance and a good cleaning. The facilities were too economy for my taste; made me think of a "truck stop" motel that I would see on television.

While the overall room was satisfactory, the bathroom was abominable. There was NO WAY to turn on the shower! We were running late so so needed showers instead of a bath. Since there was no time, I spent a day feeling dirty and cruddy! We stayed here once before on our own, and that experience was even worse! Avoid this place at all costs.

The Good: The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to Beale St. Although not very helpful, the front desk was friendly. The Bad: When we asked the front desk about any recommendations or points of interest, we were told it was in our room. That consisted of a folder listing two laundromats and a few places of worship. Our initial room had […] sheets, pillow cases and towels that were covered with hair. They moved us to a different room where the sink was crawling with ants. When we returned from our night out there was a man getting arrested directly in front of the entrance to the hotel. Could not wait to leave! I stayed 2 nights in a row at the downtown Memphis EconoLodge. Overall I was pleased with the stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was not far from the Orpheum Theatre, there was a lot to do in the neighborhood, and the staff was very friendly. On the downside, I waited about 15 minutes to check in because only one person out of the […] three people I could see on staff behind the counter was actually checking guests in. There was 2 people in line in front of me so the wait was frustrating but after I finally got checked in the rest of my stay was enjoyable. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay downtown Memphis and don’t have any standards this is the place. I’d recommend before going you install a good car alarm as the parking is dicey. The rooms were nicer than you would think based on the so-so condition of the lobby area.

Extremely good value.

It's worth paying a bit more to stay up the street in the Holiday Inn or another hotel. You're going to have to pay for parking no matter even though this hotel advertised that the price was included.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I found the Econo Lodge to be a good value.

This hotel is perfect if you solely intend on sleeping in it and nothing else. When I arrived there were no towels for me and the lights in the bathroom were broken. Despite several calls into the hotel staff to fix the light and provide towels, it was only on the last night that I was provided with a towel. great hotel convient to the downtown memphis area

Hotel for the money and location was good. Room phone to call front desk was out of order. But with my own cell phone was able to contact. Really, for money and location, was a good deal for a few nights.

Had a great stay at the econo lodge very close to Beale st, Sun Studios,Martin Luther King civil rights muesem,overall great hotel staff was great felt very safe here>

We stayed here for 2 nights and got what we paid for. Room was large, bed was comfortable, and that's basically all we were looking for. Of course could use some updating, and the free breakfast really leaves a lot to be desired. No hair dryer in the room. But it's within safe walking distance from Beale St. Would definitely stay again.

Cheapest rate within walking distance to beale. Needs a facelift. However, if you just need a place to crash after sampling what the downtown area offers, this works great.

The people could not have been nicer. They changed our room after we realized we did not have a city view. They were helpful every time we had a request. The hotel is old - but a good price. The location was great! If we ever go back, we'd stay here again.

I was on a tight budget and this hotel worked for me. Obviously a little old however quite clean. I was most impressed with the staff who were very pleasant. It would be nice if they could do something to make the elevators more inviting.

Close to all sites. The trolly is very handy to travel to other sites. Travelled by Amtrak and the trolly is right outside and takes you to the hotel area.

This hotel was a great price for the location. I had several snafus happen along the way, but the staff was so helpful and accommodating that I would say these problems became net pluses! the condition of this hotel is poor. Most of the towels in the room had HOLES in them. The walls were all patched up. The furniture was stained and the carpet was very dirty. The had not extra pillows or any extra anything.

Best deal for the money, location is perfect! Rooms are comfy and staff are super nice!

i realize i asked for a smoking room, but did not realize that it would have smelt like it had dozens of full ashtrays, i believe that they make a spray to help neutralize the odor. other than that, the staff was helpful and courteous. the hotel was decent, but could use some updating.

It's cheap, clean, and walking distance from downtown. The perfect spot to crash after a night on Beale followed by a trip to Raiford's!

We had some trouble getting parked and into our room as the hotel location is quite confusing, but after that everything went fine. Nothing super special about the hotel itself, and the bathroom was freezing the whole time, but the room was nice enough. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to Beale Street and is much cheaper than staying on Beale […] Street so we would stay here again. Devamı

This being an econo lodge i was not expecting greatness but this was a very disappointing discovery. The hotel "lobby" was a converted parking attendant booth in the garage,which was the first sign of trouble. The furniture in the rooms was old and dingy and thebeds very cheap and uncomfortable. Next time I'm in town, we'll definitely book this hotel again. The front desk attendant was extremely friendly and we enjoyed the view of the Mississippi River from our window.

Large clean comfortable rooms at an affordable cost! Very conveniently located in Downtown Memphis; easy walking distance to just about anywhere!

A great location due to its close proximity with Beale Street which is only a few blocks away. The room is spacious and tidy. Would definitely stay there again.

Was very upset when finding out parking was additional. My mother has had knee surgery and the elevators were not working for two days we spent there! The service was good but unfortunately the appearance and physical condition of the hotel is so low that it doesn't balance the good with the bad. Thumbs down.

This hotel was in a great place to be able to walk to Beale street . The room was comfortable and clean and great for the price.

Slow to get checked in also after paying for the room I was charged $10.00 for parking.

Better bang for your buck elsewhere. Especially bad if you're just passing through and not in Memphis to be a tourist.

Staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was more than decent. The only problem I had was the satellite tv. There was no signal all night. They should really switch to cable.

The Econo Lodge had helpful staff and was close to all the must see sights and the trams if public transport is required as it was in our case. I would recommend it to anyone looking for value for money.
