From the moment we arrived we were made most welcome by the excellent staff who gave us lots of interesting information regarding Stresa. The room was lvely and the views just perfect. No complaints about this hotel whatsoever

This is a great hotel for people looking for an easy trip out to the various small islands on Lake Maggiore. The front desk personnel all spoke English and were very helpful. Lovely old hotel. The signage lets down its outside apperance. Drove to hotel, easy to find easy free parking and easy walking distance to everything. Room was great and nothing beats the view of lake and islands. Breakfast was fine. Really enjoyed staying there and recommend. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A comfortable room with a good view of Lake Maggiore. All staff and service levels were excellent. The fixed menu in the dining room proved ideal.

Stayed for two nights. Positives: clean, nice staff, location near lake, good breakfast. Negative ; A bit of a walk to the center but good after a meal. No tee/coffee in room. Ok but nothing special.

My husband and I spent a most enjoyable and relaxing 5 day break at Hotel Royal during the first week of September '12. The condition and service were first class. The only downsides were the lack of a permanent shower in the bathroom(only hand held) and the limited choice of vegitarian options in the restaurant.

Hotel Royal was amazing!! The hotel is kept very clean, and the staff are all wonderful. Everyone at the Hotel Royal was eager to help in any way that they could. It is also in a great location, just a 3 minute walk to ferries to check out the Borromeon Islands ( a highlight of our trip) and a 15 minute walk down a spectacular walkway along the lake […] to get to the center of town. And it is a great town to visit and spend half a day! My wife and I are looking forward to our return to Stresa, and we simply cannot wait to stay at the Hotel Royal again!! Devamı

A most enjoyable stay, great views over the lake, the hotel is conveniently located only minutes from the ferry to the Islands and the cable car and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the town and railway station. Would deffinately stay here again.

My gal and I stayed here for two nights at the end of our vacation - but now wish we had scheduled more. This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet location. The owners and staff go out of their way to provide comfort, service and more than a touch of class.

Located 2 minutes walk from the lake, Hotel Royal is a good choice for a relaxing break. The hotel has an old style charm to it and is kept very clean. This hotel is a true find ! Right on the shore of Lake Maggiore. A family run hotel which we visited last year and was so impressed with the standards, we decided to use it again. Isola Bella is spectacular with gardens rated as one of the top 5 in the world and a beautiful palace full of wonderful treasures. (Don`t miss it) About 10 minutes walk along the promenade from the Royal and you are in the lively centre of Stresa with excellent bars and restaurants all at very reasonable prices but if you don`t feel like going out the Royal offers a value for money set menu and excellent service. The hotel was very well positioned for day trips. Although it required a brisk 15 minute walk into Stresa itself it was ideally located for boat and cable car trips. It also had sufficient free parking space although spometimes only just! The only down side was the coffee served at breakfast which was awful. We arrived by car and stayed for 4 nights.We bagged the last space in the car park, but there appeared to be an overflow car park offsite. (parking was a priority for us) We had a double room with a lake view. This was partially blocked by trees. The bed was very hard, and the aircon was switched off. However we had a balcony which was nice to use […] in the evening after dinner, as was the Roof terrace. The hotel public rooms looked a bit tired and in need of a bit of redecoration We did not dine at the hotel but breakfast was ok. Situated on the outskirts of Stresa very convenient for a ferry stop and the cablecar. Pleasant walk to Stresa along the lake front. Situated back from the lake front the view is partly blocked by mature trees. Roof terrace has a good view. Our 1st (ground) floor room had almost no view of lake.

Bel hôtel, assez bien situé (proximité embarcadère et pas très loin du centre, environ 1 km). Cadre agréable. Bon service. Quelques problèmes : climatisation bruyante et insuffisante, impossible de régler la température de l'eau dans la douche, celle ci n'est pas stable et passe du glacé au brûlant : donc bains obligatoires. La télé ne marchait pas. […] Pas de wi-fi dans les chambres. Pas de carte au restaurant, menu imposé et réservation obligatoire. Petit déjeuner très moyen et café trop grillé. Propreté de la salle de bain à ravoir : le derrière du radiateur sèche serviette était très sale et malheureusement les femmes de ménage posaient les serviettes propres dessus. Baignoire un peu petite pour un hôtel de cette classe. Quelques problèmes électriques également sur les prises -trop peu nombreuses). Ascenseur trop long. Très belle vue de la terrasse supérieure. Personnel accueillant et sympathique. Un bon buffet au petit déjeuner, une belle piscine avec chaises longues et une salle de musique/lecture très agréable. L'hotel aurait néanmoins besoin d'une remise à neuf (escalier, fenêtre et téléviseur des chambres).

L'hôtel est d'un très bon niveau. L'accueil est sympathique. La chambre très confortable. Seul petit bémol, la climatisation est un peu bruyante. Situé à quinze minutes de marche du centre de Stresa. La promenade pour aller à Stresa est tout simplement magnifique.

Das Frühstück ist gut. Der Pool zwar nicht sehr groß aber schön mit umliegendem Garten. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist hilfsbereit und gibt gerne Auskunft. Parkmöglichkeiten sind auch vorhanden.

Wir waren mit insg. 6 Personen im Hotel gebucht. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen und hat eine gute Lage zum nächsten Ort. An der Strandpromenade ist man in 10 Min. zu Fuss in Stresa. Unserer Meinung nach ist das auch der schönste Ort gewesen der auf unserer Strecke lag. Die Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig und etwas altmodisch. Der Zustand des Bades mit vielen Baumängeln (eine Vielzahl offener Fliesendurchbrüche, angeschlagene Glasablagen, u. Seifenschale, extrem schwergängige Duschkabinentüre, nicht funktionierender Thermostat) und die Nichtbeseitigung von Wandbeschädigungen beim Einsetzen des Zimmerwandschrankes führen letztendlich zu einem negativen Gesamteindruck.
