We paid 250 dollars for our hotel suite and boy was I dissappointed. The room itself had a broken ipod player so my girlfriend calleddown for a new ipod player where the front desk attendant informed us half the ipod players were broken. We requested a new one and they brought us another one. This one happened to be broken too with the power button […] stuck down and volumn button broken off. The hotel attendant was rude and not willing to help when friends of mine who showed up a few minutes earlier and made them sit out and wait half hour for me to arrive. The dinner service was terrible as it took an hour for us to be served our food and the waiter only showed up twice the entire meal. I would not recommend this hotel too any body! Devamı

Bought a Block of rooms for a birthday party because hotel was booked solid. Easy check in and good service all throughout stay. Buffet was great!

A great place to stay

The room exceeded my expectations. Front desk was very helpful, hotel is very clean. I only hate the king suite I stayed in did not have a microwave.

The hotel was beautiful The room was huge 300 sq ft, 3 tv's, comfortable. The pool and work out room were awesome and huge

We spent our first night at Ameristar Resort/Casino and had a lovely night for my birthday. The room was beautiful and very clean & comfortable. We enjoyed dinner, dancing and some casino excitement too. Our friends were envious they weren't staying there too!! Will visit again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly, including the housekeepers. The building and rooms were very attractive. The restaurants were good. We had fun at the Casino as well. The machines are very tight on the weekend, but on Thursday night we did really well. I would recommend this hotel to others. The only draw back was that smoking […] is allowed. Devamı

Everything was great but the coffee cups in our rooms were dirty. Otherwise everything was great.

Fabulous hotel!! Will stay there every time I am in St Louis!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here, the staff was very attentive and the rooms are very nice. The pool is so amazing i could barely peel my son away from it. (The staff at the spa were not so helpful though, it was two hours before they closed and they refused to give my wife a express pedicure!) Overall this was a great place to stay.

Gorgeous, comfortable room. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

We were surprised at how nice of a facility this is. We've been to a number of Vegas resorts and this is certainly as good as the best of them (the room). The casino falls short. And the pool is simply elegant. Wow!

We have always stayed at Harrahs until now. There is no comparison to Ameristar. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a beautiful view of the courtyard and pool. We are already planning our next trip for our anniversary later this year.

Nice hotel and casino overall. The food choices were great. I enjoyed the casino. Being from CA it shocked me that you could still smoke in a restaurant so that was not great but the food was good and the service was great in the hotel, casino and all 3 restaurants I ate at.

I can't imagine ever staying at another hotel in the St. Louis area, this was my third visit in the past year, WONDERFUL!!!!

The person doing the check-in was very unfriendly. She had no personality at all. She wanted no part of answering questions. She did not want to repeat anything. She was young. The room had a musty odor to it. There were not extra towels or washcloths. Loved the swimming pool but the hours for under 18 was ridulous. Nine o'clock curfew for them. First […] night arrival was a disappointed when the grandkids could not swim. There is not much there for kids. We did enjoy the pool and hot tub. If you are under the age of 18, don't plan to swim long, everyone under the age of 18 have to be out of pool area by 9pm, that is early! They are very scrict about this policy!

I took my wife to Ameristar, outside St. Louis, for our anniversary. My wife smokes, and finding hotels that allow smoking are getting next to impossible to find (hint: Hotels.com - make it easier for smokers to find smoker-friendly hotels - since it's now the exception rather than the rule, it should have its own search item), it was a great relief […] to find a hotel with its own restaurants that not only allow smoking but are actually as friendly and welcoming to people who still smoke as their non-smoking guests. I can't remember the last time before this that I made reservations at a restaurant and was asked, "Smoking or Non-smoking?" Our suite (all the rooms are suites!) was stunningly beautiful, and though a designated smoking room, did not smell at all of smoke (it doesn't take a non-smoker to detect a smoking room that isn't properly ventilated - more and more common especially in motels). We ate and/or drank at several of the restaurants; I was especially pleased with the food and service at Bugatti's Steak and Pasta, and pleased to note that unlike some Italian restaurants on The Hill, Bugatti's serves espresso (which should be a requirement for Italian restaurants), and for a rare treat, a Zuppa Inglese-inspired dessert. The 80's cover band on Saturday night, That 80's Band, was fantastic, and our in-room couples massage on Sunday was absolutely dreamy, and we had fun losing some money at the Casino. I would highly recommend Ameristar as a great location for a romantic getaway. I would advise leaving the kids at home, as there's not much for kids to do. For those looking at this as a romantic destination, there were a lot less children than in other resorts, we've stayed in, which was also a welcome change. So, big thumbs up for Ameristar St Louis, especially for romantic getaways, and absolutely dreamy for smokers. Devamı

From the bellman to the housekeepers, everyone at this hotel treated us like royalty! The service was superb, the room was gorgeous and the location was grand! Thank you for an outstanding experience! Highly, highly recommended!

The check-in process was bungled. They advertise check-in time as 3 p.m. but everyone was waiting around the lobby till 4 or later. We had reserved a non-smoking room, but they put us in a smoking room. They later changed us to a non-smoking room, but we had to ask. But once we got settled, it went very well and it is a very nice property.

The Ameristar Casino & Spa in St. Charles was beautifully appointed. Huge rooms with comfortable beds, living room area, and amazing views from the 22nd floor. The room service was reasonably priced and delicious. The hotel staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. We ate at Bugattis Steak & Pasta - romantic dinner with amazing food and wine!

I was a little worried after reading the reviews on Hotels.com. Really people? C'mon this resort was top notch! People complained about dirty rooms and smokey infested rooms? Give me a break! The rooms were spacey and were very very nice! Did not smell one bit like smoke and was very clean. We stayed 3 nights and received room service every single day! […] The beds were made fresh towels everything you would expect. The resort had four or five restaurants inside that were really nice. Yes they were more than regular restaurants but not that much more. As far as smoke there was some in the actual casino part but really what do you expect is a CASINO people! The pool was on the 5th floor and was huge! Children weren't allowed after 9p.m. so get your swim in before 9. There was a bar by the pool so if you want a drink by the pool you can. The pool has a swim under window that allows you to choose if you want to swim indoors or outdoors. The outdoors is so nice and indoors did smell a bit like chemicals. We got free valet parking the whole time we were there. Would recommend this resort for people with kids as it was perfect for them. We did not gamble much but has a huge casino if you like that sorta stuff. We would recommend this resort to people of all ages! Thanks Ameristar! Devamı

We recently stayed at Ameristar. We stayed in a King Suite the room was very spacious. The separate living room was wonderful and the big bathroom was great. Our room looked out over the Missouri River. The pool area was great, you could get out of the hot sun and go into the pool inside and still had the feeling of being outside. Overall I rate this hotel a 3. The room was very spacious and clean when we arrived. The rest of our stay we had only three towels left for us and we had 4 people in our room. We had to ask for new drinking glasses each day. We had coffee the first morning and they didn't refill the supplies for the second day but they did the 3rd and 4th days. The […] restaurant were pricey and the buffet was far from par. Very disappointed with the buffet. The pool was extraordinary, except our 7 year old couldn't touch and our 4 year couldn't either. Make sure you take life jackets or floaties for young children. Also if you have children with you don't expect to let your children watch cartoons unless you want to pay $2.99 for a half our show. There were no kid channels. We would stay there again but at least we would know what to expect and take a dvd player for the kids. Devamı

My husband and I went to stay for the weekend and could not have been happier. The room was great, very spacious with modern decor. The swimming pool was clean never to crowded. There were plenty of dining options on site, so there was no need to even leave for the whole weekend, they have live bands, a small arcade and of course the casino so entertainment […] was covered to. My only complaint was that house keeping did not clean our room they did not even take the garbage from our room. We asked for more bath towels, and when we returned only found wash clothes so we had to go and get more towels our self. The hallways were a little noisy due to those who had been drinking late at the bar, but it was no big deal I was only woken once by a really loud individual. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I did not use the spa or fitness room but they seemed really nice. If you like to jog or walk outside a walking trail is just a short walk from the hotel which was very nice. The hotel was great and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about staying here. Devamı

This hotel was half way home on a long journey and thankfully was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great choice of restaurants onsite with a fabulous buffet. I chose to play the slots and walked away a winner luckily. Also, close to a Starbucks which for me was a bonus the next morning to begin my journey home. Would love to […] stay here again! Devamı

My family really enjoyed the hotel. The only thing the bothered us was the hotel room wasn't as clean as it could of been . Had a great stay. Got there early and got to check in early! The room was great. We didn't use the pool(s) but we had a great view of them from our room and it looked great. The room was well appointed and beautiful, but wasn't cleaned to the standard I expect--items from previous occupants, and the back of the bed and dust ruffled were filthy. Bathroom was very clean. There were loud parties on our floor for several hours between midnight and 2am, and when I tried to call the front desk the room phone didn't work. I called […] with my cell phone and after a time it did get quieter. The spa and massage services were great, and the pool was nice. I did tell the front desk about the broken phone and room problems when I called in the middle of the night and upon checkout but the front desk just said have a nice day. Friendly staff, great rooms.

Hotel is the best, close to everything, Casino, Old St Charles & Family arena. Watch out for the pool area, they let all ages in the pools & hot tubs. There were fecies in the Hot tub the day we stayed there.
