Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa - St. Louis

We recently stayed at Ameristar. We stayed in a King Suite the room was very spacious. The separate living room was wonderful and the big bathroom was great. Our room looked out over the Missouri River. The pool area was great, you could get out of the hot sun and go into the pool inside and still had the feeling of being outside. Overall I rate this hotel a 3. The room was very spacious and clean when we arrived. The rest of our stay we had only three towels left for us and we had 4 people in our room. We had to ask for new drinking glasses each day. We had coffee the first morning and they didn't refill the supplies for the second day but they did the 3rd and 4th days. The […] restaurant were pricey and the buffet was far from par. Very disappointed with the buffet. The pool was extraordinary, except our 7 year old couldn't touch and our 4 year couldn't either. Make sure you take life jackets or floaties for young children. Also if you have children with you don't expect to let your children watch cartoons unless you want to pay $2.99 for a half our show. There were no kid channels. We would stay there again but at least we would know what to expect and take a dvd player for the kids. Devamı

My husband and I went to stay for the weekend and could not have been happier. The room was great, very spacious with modern decor. The swimming pool was clean never to crowded. There were plenty of dining options on site, so there was no need to even leave for the whole weekend, they have live bands, a small arcade and of course the casino so entertainment […] was covered to. My only complaint was that house keeping did not clean our room they did not even take the garbage from our room. We asked for more bath towels, and when we returned only found wash clothes so we had to go and get more towels our self. The hallways were a little noisy due to those who had been drinking late at the bar, but it was no big deal I was only woken once by a really loud individual. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I did not use the spa or fitness room but they seemed really nice. If you like to jog or walk outside a walking trail is just a short walk from the hotel which was very nice. This hotel was half way home on a long journey and thankfully was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great choice of restaurants onsite with a fabulous buffet. I chose to play the slots and walked away a winner luckily. Also, close to a Starbucks which for me was a bonus the next morning to begin my journey home. Would love to […] stay here again! Devamı

My family really enjoyed the hotel. The only thing the bothered us was the hotel room wasn't as clean as it could of been . Had a great stay. Got there early and got to check in early! The room was great. We didn't use the pool(s) but we had a great view of them from our room and it looked great. The room was well appointed and beautiful, but wasn't cleaned to the standard I expect--items from previous occupants, and the back of the bed and dust ruffled were filthy. Bathroom was very clean. There were loud parties on our floor for several hours between midnight and 2am, and when I tried to call the front desk the room phone didn't work. I called […] with my cell phone and after a time it did get quieter. The spa and massage services were great, and the pool was nice. I did tell the front desk about the broken phone and room problems when I called in the middle of the night and upon checkout but the front desk just said have a nice day. Friendly staff, great rooms.

Hotel is the best, close to everything, Casino, Old St Charles & Family arena. Watch out for the pool area, they let all ages in the pools & hot tubs. There were fecies in the Hot tub the day we stayed there.

The hotel is very attractive and our room was quite large. However, the room was a little dusty, and there was stuff on the floor which suggested that they don't vacuum every day. The hallway was also not vacuumed. The smoke smell hits you when you walk through the door, but you do get used to it. Service at the desk was very friendly. The beds were […] amazingly comfortable, but the sheets weren't tucked in right, and my feet got tangled up in the "fitted sheet." The steakhouse was wonderful - the service, the food, and the atmosphere. And the valet parking attendants were very friendly and efficient. Overall, I would say this was a decent value for the price, but you expect a bit more from a 4-diamond hotel (which the guy at the desk was quick to point out). I was very impressed by the hotel and the employees there were wonderful and right at your convenience, but the food on the buffet was less than par, the fried chicken was half raw and they did not keep up with the buffet it was always running low on foods. I rated the motel itsself high because I do feel that it was much higher than standard.

We were pleased with our stay. The only concerns related to a bit of cleanliness. The tile floors in the entryway and bathroom seemed sticky although they did not look dirty. Also, a child's ball was left in our room. Our thought was that it should have been removed. The hotel is luxurious and the SPA is the best SPA in Missouri. If you want to treat yourself stay here and make sure you get the Pure Bliss treatment in the SPA. This makes traveling for work so much more enjoyable. They have a great workout room with new Life Fitness ellipticals and treadmills which I love, too. I would definitely return here.

The hotel was very nice. The food at the restaurants was good but not great. Very close to old St. Charles.

Enjoy staying at Ameristar for convenience to downstown St Charles, interstate, parking gargage and restaurants. The service at the diner was slow. I think people park in the hotel garage to go to the casinso that are not registered guest at the hotel that takes up a lot of the available parking, furniture could use a cleaning and I could not use the […] coffee pot as it did not pull out far enough to pour the water had to ask for addtl wash cloths and towels 2nd day as housekeeping did not refill . What an amazing room! I just got engaged that weekend and my fiance had wanted to stay at the hotel for a long time and thanks to hotels.com we got a great deal on a room! It was the nicest room I have ever stayed in, and my fiance loved it. She was smiling the whole time. It was the greatest weekend of our lives. Just got back from the hotel. It is a really nice place. The room was really spacious with a sunken living room and this awesome shower. The price was a little more than the other hotels, but everything is right there. The meal at the buffet was OK - nothing special. The music at the bar on Friday nite was really great and with only a $5 cover charge […] and no drink minimum it was a real treat. The casino - hey what can I say - I won $200 and then lost $140 so I guess I was ahead. Everyone of the staff was exceedingly helpful. The valet parking was free and a bonus. The only thing I didn't like was the food in the restraunts was high - I paid $6 for a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin. Toast was $3 so don't expect to get off cheap eating there. But there are a lot of choices around there. I guess you pay for the convenience. It is a place I would highly recommend. Devamı

I was extremely pleased with how big the rooms were and the beds were very comfortable. When I visit St. Louis again, I will be staying at this hotel!

It was a 90 degree day and the A/C didn't work. after three service men tried to fix it it still didn't work. The side blew off it in the middle of the night. They didn't offer to put us in another room.

Appalling service for laundry/dry cleaning. Tried for two days and got many spurious replies about whether they did or didn't do laundry. Eventually took my dirty laundry to New York with me.

Very nice hotel in a convenient location to historic downtown St. Charles. The room was super nice & comfortable and the step-down living room with mini-fridge was great and very useful for a family of four. The bathroom was great too - plenty of space and clean. Although the water could've been warmer (since it was 50 degrees outside), the pool area […] is nice and clean - and it's fun that the one pool is both inside and outside. I would definitely stay here again. My only minor complaint would be the smoke odor in & around the elevators, casino, & restaurants, but what are you going to do? The room exceeded our expectations. I took my two kids and we loved the room and the pool. They would rather go back here than to great wolf lodge. The only things we dos not like were no kids chanels on basic tv, and there was some hair in the shower drain.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in.

My wife and I love it here. Great place to enjoy an evening out without traveling very far. Clean rooms, clean casino and friendly staff.

Ameristar is an oasis for us when we are in the city of St louis. Its close enough to be convenient, while giving us a respite when we need it. Great restaurants and clubs. The neighborhood is clean. The rooms are fabulous. We really dig the place

the cleanliness of the room and housekeeping were abomniable at best.

Was not handled at check in like four star hotel. Had to wait two hours to get room. No one at curb to help with bags. Had to request four times before got any help. Never saw Valet people. Asked for early cleaning- stayed four days never received cleaning before 12 noon. Never knew when turn down service was coming. Cordless did not work. Most restaurants […] nice except buffet- terrible- food cold, greezy and service was terri ble. Getting things done a real problem. Maid service terrible. My husband and I wanted a close to home weekend getaway and decided to book a room at the Ameristar. We were extremely pleased with the quality of all the furnishings throughout the hotel. I felt like I was at home in the room. The bedding was SO comfortable and I didn't even feel the need to inspect the bedding for "cooties". The rooms are huge and […] have a large bathroom with seperate glass shower and soaking tub. The room we stayed in had a sunken living room and a huge plasma TV. I had only booked a regular room, so I can't imagine what a suite would look like. The pool area was beautiful. Nice hotel great rooms nice location. However I had the do not disturb sign on my door and at 11:01 there was a loud and continous knocking. When I answered the girl was abrupt and told me that checkout was at 11. Come on!

Upon looking for food I tried the Pad Thai only to find that it is not true Pad Thai when the lady handed it to me I told her it was not Pad Thai and it was missing ingredients. She said sorry and walked off. I decided to try it and it was as I thought. Not Pad Thai and was not good at all. I decided to go to the burger place for dinner and waited over […] 10 mins to get a table on a Monday night. Ordered a burger with Jalapenos and no cheese, and I got a patty melt. When i explained to the waitress this is not what I wanted she said okay took my sandwich and left the fries. She told me she would only charge me for fries but didn't offer anything else up. We had a great girls weekend away. The spa services were fantastic!! We will return again.

20 minutes outside the city of St Louis; right at I-70. The location gets you close to food and fun. We have stayed 4 nights this year at Ameristar. Our schedule has limited us to only staying on Monday nights. That means nearly every restaurant and club downstairs is closed....bummer. Their steak house gets great reviews. We do not like casinos, but […] the hotel is awesome. Rooms are VERY well appointed with heavy wood trim and moldings. Modern design on the furniture. Multiple flat screens, tastefull art on the walls, and the best bathrooms you can get. The tile, The granite, the glass shower and tub... great. This stay, we found a couple of details that required attention. The bathroom flat screen did not work. There were coffee stains on the ironing board, and there was mold in bottom of the shower. At check in (we arrived at 3:30) our room was not ready so we dropped our bags off with the porter and went for a drink in the casino. By 4pm, they had called my cell an we were in the room. We always self park, but many people use the valet service. This is our favorite hotel in the city and always our first choice. Devamı

EXCEPTIONAL HOTEL FOR CONCERTS AT FAMILY ARENA & RIVERPORT. THE HOTEL IS FIRST CLASS WITH LARGE ROOMS & ALL THE AMENITIES. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTING THING WAS ROOM SERVICE STOPS AT 9:00PM, SOMETIMES AFTER A CONCERT YOU WOULD LIKE SOMETING TO EAT. ALL OTHER RESTAURANTS ON THE PROPERTY CLOSE BY 12:00AM THE CASINO IS NICE TOO. Love the location. Big,clean rooms, friendly staff. Smell of smoke can be a bit overbearing in the common areas in the lobby & casino area.

The restaurants and lounges are open on a very limited basis. My wife played slot machines for 8 hours and was only asked twice if she needed a drink or anything.
