This place truly is amazing. Paradise doesn't even do it justice. The baray villa we stayed in doesn't even have words to describe it. It is so nice that we lost $1200 on a different hotel that we ate so we could stay here longer. It is truly a place that dreams are made of. A staff that is so helpful, a resort that is so beautiful, a king size bed […] that is like two kings put together it is so big. We absolutely loved every moment here. We will return for sure and send anyone we know here. Well worth the extra to stay in the pool villa, such an experience. Devamı

asthetically very pleasing, amazing details, feel like in a jungle. Rooms are very small and you need a shuttle to get to the( crowded beach).There is a great beach next to Mom Tri's hotel.

Firstly the staff are amazing and cannot do enough to help. The hotel is set about 10 min walk from Kata beach and there is an hourly bus to and from the beach but it is easily walkable. The hotel is based on traditional Thai and not modern. The rooms are dark to keep cool. There is air con, TV, computer in the rooms. Also shampoo, conditioner, shower […] get, toothbrush and paste, bug spray (mozzies!), pool towels. The beds were too hard for my liking and also the the beds had thin duvets - I would've preferred sheets and a blanket but it was OK (I'm sure if I'd asked they would've changed this for me. The rooms also have a mozzie net which they put over each night, but we decided after the first night that you are more likely to be bitten sitting by the pool than in the room, wear mozzie spray at all times. The hotel has one good size pool with water fountains and jacuzzi effect and good for swimming laps. There is also a small pool for kids. The hotel is fairly small so there are always beds available around the pool. There is a pool bar with snacks. The hotel has two restaurants, one is traditional Thai and the other is western and snacks. Both were excellent although they use a curry based sauce on all the Thai food - even when it says oyster sauce, so if you don't like curry beware and order sweet and sour or stick to western food). There is a Spa but we didn't use it. On the whole a great time. Devamı

Great ambience and design. Room was small but very neat and real nice. Unfortunately, room service sucks. All the Thai food smells and even the continental food was very poor. The morning buffet was good but when you ask for omelette with green chillies, they don't understand green chillies and make the omelette partially cooked. They gave us the room […] 1 hour late for check-in and took the room 1 hour early for check-out while categorically stating "sorry for inconvenience". Service at the pool closes at 7pm - sigh! If you're staying here, best to each at the Lobster & Prawn restaurant close-by. Only place which makes awesome food - rest of the restaurants are pretty bad. Devamı

It was a very nice hotel with a Thai theme. The service was great and the staff were wonderful. But it was very tiny and the bathroom stinks.

The hotel had a nice feeling about it and the staff were great. The room we had wasn't the biggest we've had in all the hotels we've stayed in, quite small for us to be honest, I like a bit of room where I can put the suitcase on the floor and not trip over it every 2 minutes or constantly moving bags around to get to the cupboard or fridge. The mosquito […] netting was annoying while watching TV on the bed but its there for a reason so didn't want to pull it back. The location is good, 15-20 minute walk to the beach but there is a shuttle bus every hour so that was good. Beautiful grounds, and a great place to just relax. Food here is great, the pool bar is fantastic too. The only downside is the distance to the beach, which is a 10 minute walk, although they offer a free shuttle every hour (so not a big complaint really)

Great hotel excellent location all the staff was very nice and willing to do whatever you needed. rooms were a bit small due the huge bed. The porch was awesome to sir and have coffee every morning. The pool is perfect and the breakfast was always fresh and delicious.

I stayed 3 nights at Sawasdee by myself in early November 12 and found the hotel to be more than satisfactory. Room was a decent size (especially for one) and was clean and comfy. A little dark thoough. Bathroom was also a good size with a great shower. They provide towels you can take to the beach which is nice. (turn right at the end of the street, cross over and walk for a couple of minutes until you come to a sign pointing you to the beach). Breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choice. I had a massage and a facial at the spa, Massage was excellent. Facial just average. Pool loked shady in some of the picsa online but was lovely and sun filled. The place was a haven away from the craziness of the outside world. It made our holiday, I could not have found a better place to stay !!!! Room was very small and dark, with no seating in the room. Mosquito netting on the bed was a nuisance. Small selection for breakfast with little daily variation. Pleasant green bushy sprawling setting, though too many mosquitoes outside and in. A mature property - not unpleasant but has seen its best years. Overpriced - would rate 3 stars only.

Recently returned from a very enjoyable 9 night stay at the Sawasdee Village. Wonderful staff, very friendly and always happy to help. We appreciated our greeting and easy check in after arriving at midnight in the rain. They quickly assisted us with our luggage and umbrellas! The room was lovely, a huge bed and spacious enough for myself and my partner. […] The Internet was a little slow but other hotel extras made up for this. I particularly appreciated the number of water bottles provided and beach towels, the mozzie coils and turn down services, the cleaning staff always left notes and nothing seemed to be a problem. The pool area and village was very relaxing and as others have said, a little bit of paradise tucked away from the busy streets. This hotel is delightful in every sense. When you walk in to the hotel from the noisy street it is a real haven and the attention to detail in the gardens and architecture make you feel it is a genuine Thai experience. Thoughtful, friendly and happy staff, the Baray Villa was stunning and more than we imagined, even the pictures and videos we saw online didn't do it justice. I simply cannot say enough about Sawsdee Village! This resort is in an ideal spot for all the shopping a girl could want, the romance of a beautiful beach and a buzz of nightlife, but 20 steps inside and the outside noise completely disappears into the tranquil serenity of plants, pool and Thai art. The swim-up bar is a very nice touch and the soothing music played outside just adds to the peace. We stayed for five days and if we go back I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with a jungle type feel. The traditional Thai design and landscaping of this hotel is absolutely beautiful and it is a quiet environment. When we return to Thailand we will definitely stay at Sawasdee Village again. Gorgeous decor and the best spa experience I have ever had. They had a special when we were there and I got 30 minutes of the steam room, a 1 hour massage, and a 1 hour facial for 3100 BHT! It was incredible! I agree with other reviewers that the rooms are a bit small but considering we weren't in the room much it wasn't a problem. There was a small table and bench outside of our room on the front porch so it was nice to have an outdoor living space. This hotel is a dream. There is no where else to stay for a more authentic Thai experience. The grounds are like a rainforest, Every room is a private cabana like setting, the pool area is amazing. The food and staff at breakfast were fantastic the only negative was we had to leave.

My husband and I stayed at Sawasdee Village for 15 days in late April/early May 2012. While the hotel rooms are showing some signs of wear, the garden/ landscaping/ decoration of SV more than made up for it. At night, the garden is magical-- the hotel is hushed, filled with insence and torchlight. The staff at the hotel were phenomenal--the front desk answered all of our questions capably, and the cooking class through the hotel is well worth the extra money. We stayed at The Sawasdee Village for only 2 nights. We loved the surroundings, but found our room a bit on the small side, on account of the bed being so big, so there was not much room for our suitcases. We spent a day at the pool and it was pleasant, with several jet spas installed at either end of the pool. The only down side is that the pool area […] does not have a lot of seating, so it can get crowded. We also had a small problem with our air conditioning unit leaking water, which was quickly rectified as soon as I alerted the staff. Breakfast was adequate with choice of asian and western food. The Sawasdee Village is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. There are several eateries just as you exit the Sawasdee Village and we ate at several of them over the course of our stay, and enjoyed our meals. Great location (no need to use shuttle as Kata beach is a short walk). Great food. Helpful staff. The rooms are a little small (and the beds VERY hard) but the overall ambience of the hotel makes up for it. Really nice pool area. The Baray Villas are AMAZING - and worth at least one night's stay.

The only 'negative', if would could be stated, is that this hotel is a far from the action (Patong). However, as in my case, if that is what you are looking for, this place is amazing! I travel a lot (work for an airline) and hardly ever write reviews, but had to take the time for this incredible property. This is in the top 3 places I have ever stayed. Pictures don't do it justice! It is tranquil-- a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Phuket! Convenient location to the beach and other outside restaurants/shops/spas. Glad […] we stayed in the Kata Beach area rather than Patong which is overly crowded. It is an easy and quick trip to Patong if desired. My cousin had her birthday there during our stay and even though I just mentioned that once, the Sawasdee Village staff made sure to wish her a happy birthday anytime they saw her. They were attentive and helpful in booking an elephant excursion at Kok Chang Safari nearby the resort. The included breakfast buffet is the best I have had at any resort. A large variety ranging from American, European, and Thai selections. Gorgeous restaurant setting. We took the on-site cooking class at their restaurant which was well done! You pick 3 items off a menu and after making them you sit down to eat what you made. I've been to better beaches and have seen clearer water than at Phuket, but this hotel makes the trip to Phuket well worth it! Devamı

This was, as others have written, an oasis in what is now a busy beach town. The rooms were great, the grounds beautiful, food delicious but the best part was the staff who met all our needs before we knew we had them. If we come back to Phuket, we will stay here without a doubt.
