Very enjoyable, will stay here again.

It is a well maintained, clean and friendly hotel. First impression was comfortable, spacious and relaxing. We were allowed to check in even though we arrived earlier than check in time. Room was clean and well designed. Only complaint is their continental breakfast -- the basic items, omelet, sausage and pancake are the very basic, minimal quality. […] But they do have cereal, yogurt, toast and spreads, muffins, bagels, juice and all kinds of hot drinks that we enjoyed. This hotel is awesome! Recently updated throughout. Rooms had great beds and pillows. Bath fixtures and room furnishings, top notch. Clerks were great and free breakfast was good. Hotel is in a very quiet area set back from the main road. Absolutely no outside noises. Booked this hotel as a last minute reservation for a business meeting in the area. Staff was very nice especially at midnight when I checked in. Only complaint I had was parking. Because I came in so late, I had to park quite a ways away from the hotel. The Holiday Inn Express is next to a Holiday Inn so I had to park in their lot. Nice, confortable and clear. My room had however an intermittant humming noise that was very disturbing. I sleep in hotels more than I sleep home, and that is the first time I had to put ear plug to get asleep. I do not remember the room number, but it was on the highest floor and the farthest from the vending machine.

Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

Overall the hotel was very clean and the staff was really friendly! The only compliant is that thye ran out of towels and we didn't get any for our room until 9:00 pm. The break fast was great and plenty of variety to choose from. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

This is an older hotel that has been remodeled. So, I would suggest asking if your room will have a balcony or not. We paid the same fee for all (4) four of the rooms we reserved, two had balcony's and two didn't. The two that didn't were overlooking a vacant parking lot and dumpsters. The staff was very helpful, our bathroom sink started pouring water […] out of the pipes and they sent someone right away. The hallways are very hot - not a lot of a/c in the hall. The breakfast was typical, the floors in the breakfast area were very sticky. You can tell that they cut a lot of corners in their "remodel"...the bathroom tubs are very old, and the toilets are original. The toilet ran all night long, you have to hold the handle down the entire time to get it to flush. If we go back we will stay somewhere else. Devamı

Easy to find and that's about all that is good about this hotel. There was stains on the sheets and pillos. There were cigarette burns on the comforters. There was stains on the bed skirt and mattress. There was stains all over the walls. There was mold in the shower and on the bathroom ceiling. The air conditioner did not get the room down to the ideal […] temperature. There crack under the door is an inch wide so you can hear everything outside the door. The beds were so uncomfortable that it caused joint pain and we were unable to sleep. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I travel to the Chicago area often and have stayed at multiple different hotels. I will NEVER stay in this one again. Devamı

The hotels internet service provider is abysmal. I travel between 35-40 weeks a year and I often work in the hotel room, extensively. If your laptop sits idle for virtually any length of time you have to log back on and it isn’t just “check here”. It requires 3 or 4 steps to get logged in which isn’t strenuous labor but it is annoying when you have […] to do it 10 – 20 time a DAY. I couldn’t complete a phone call without having to log back, seriously! Worse still, they planted some persistent cookies that rendered several web-pages unreachable AFTER I left the property (these were the pages I use most often). All I look for in a property are some healthy breakfast options (fruit & cereal), a decent gym, a good bed and reliable internet service. The location of the hotel was good especially for the reason that we got it. I was a nice hotel we as a family didnt like that the hallways were hot. First of all its hot outside I dont want to be walking into a hallway that feels like a sauna. The size of the room was actually pretty cramped especially with two beds in it. The beds were really small. […] My husband and I barely fit on the bed together. The bed was probably only for one person even though it said a double size bed. The shower was horrible. Barely any water came out. The way to get the more water out was by turning it towards the hot. And well by the time you turned it to the hot it was really hot. to the point where it was scolding hot. Living up to its pictures & our previous experiences at HIEs, we found this the pool a perfect place to relax on a sweltering summer day. Fairly close to shopping & great eats too. As usual, the breakfast was satisfying & diverse.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The breakfast was good the beds were comfortable, and the location is great.

We had to keep the fan on the a/c on all night to muffle the noises of talking and television in rooms next to ours.

I went for business in this area of Chicago. I wanted a convenient location. The hotel is excellent for the price and much nicer than most hotels in the same price range. The breakfast is average like most of the serve yourself type hotels. The evening happy hour with free beer and soft drinks is a very nice touch. Overall a good experience.

The hotel was a very, very pleasant surprise. Check-in was fast, the room was BIG with two very comfortable beds. Room was very clean, one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in and well equipped with everything you could need for a normal hotel stay. Cleaning was also good every single day and newspaper was a nice bonus! I gave the cleaning […] person a nice tip, he/she did a fantastic job! The hotel was well equipped with laundry facilities and an ice machine to mention some of the services I found really useful. I also appreciated the fact that there was an empty refrigirator in the room that could be used by the guests - very nice!! Laundry was also priced low and you get quarters from the reception. Service was also very warm and I always got what I needed - with a genuine smile and happiness to serve the guests!! Breakfast was also good, started the day great. Free parking was a nice bonus and there was always parking space. Hotel was in good condition. Everything was PERFECT, especially considering the price which wasnt sky-high. Only con I can come up with was the location. It took 1 hour to drive downtown pretty much regardless of the time since there was always heavy traffic, but it was okay, I knew it when I was selecting the hotel. If you're not comfortable driving 45mins-1hr to get downtown, go live somewhere else. Devamı

We have stayed here before, and like before this hotel was very clean, close to many great restaurants, and great shopping. We will stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel felt as if it were a more up-scale property. Very impressed with it...Except, the prepared breakfast foods tasted strange...However, will definated stay there again, will just eat the yogurt

I brought two guests with me and all of our rooms were fine. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything at this hotel was of excellent quality. Complimentary breakfast was great! Will definitely stay here again when traveling to the Chicago area.

The breakfast was better than expected.

Convenient Hotel with good service, and a better than usual continental breakfast (Bacon, sausage and eggs). Not fancy, but clean and comfortable with nice decor.

This hotel was ridiculously nice. It was incredibly clean and the staff was friendly. Zero complaints about my stay.

Welcoming atmosphere, clean rooms, quiet, and comfortable. My only big complaint is that the pillows were terrible! Obviously that is just my opinion, but I have never had such uncomfortable pillows in my life. My girlfriend liked hers, tho... haha, so not sure if you should listen to me! Small, mediocre fitness center; small but nice looking pool […] (did not use); GREAT free breakfast until 10, and a staff that left us alone, but were there whenever we needed them. We stayed 2 nights in the HIE. I noticed a "Renovation Award" statue at checkin. So this was an older structure, but redone nicely. I LOVE the bedding at HIEs...soft, so many pillows, ahhh. The room was nice, but a little on the small side. After staying in the room with 2 doubles (or queens?), I could not sleep because the bed was small and my son […] was kicking me all night. I requested a cot, but since the room could not accomodate a cot, I asked to move to a King room. They found a room for us, got us a cot and quickly got it ready for us. They were so gracious and accomodating. The King room was HUGE. We could have had 3 cots in there! It must have been part of a suite in the former hotel. There was no charge for the room change or the cot. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others. Devamı

I loved this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again. Two negative points: 1.) The pool was completely FREEZING! So cold that there is no way I could swim in it. My son and his friends didn't go deeper than their bellies. I was concerned they would turn blue! 2.) My room was on the first floor and the nearest ice […] machine was on the third floor. I stayed here en route to another destination and couldn't fault it for its purpose. Room was clean, up to date and quiet. Breakfast was great. Staff were great. I went to the bar in the next door Holiday Inn for dinner (that was another matter entirely) which was close by and convenient. There were plenty of gas stations etc nearby to refuel before […] continuing. I really couldn't fault this hotel at all, and will stay here every time I'm passing through. Devamı

We stayed in the hotel for a day. It was clean and neat and everything was perfect for the money we paid. Even morning breakfast was good, except the coffee.

We had a great stay. We didn't know what to expect since we had never been to the area but was a good hotel. But it was a good location.

This was great! It worked very well for our large group. The hot continental breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff were helpful and prompt.

Overall I do not have any complain. Staff and service deserves A++

The room was very clean and comfortable with up-to-date furniture. The grounds were clean and the receptionist was eager to assist me with anything I might need. I would definitely stay there again.
