Holiday Inn Brunswick - Brunswick

Hotel was great. Great condition, clean everything, and awesome hotel restaurant. But it's in Brunswick so you're staying in Brunswick. I stayed here for one night and was very satisfied with the quality and condition of the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel has a HUGE selection of food and $2 drinks all day.

Location manager, Jean, was great! We had a reservation with a nearby hotel, Best Western, who had over booked themselves, and when we got there no rooms were available. When we got with Hotels.com they found us a room at the nearby Holiday Inn, and even called the hotel to ensure that the room was really there. This hotel has become a regular stop on our way heading north or south. It has all of the conveniences that we enjoy, plus a wonferful restaurant attached called The Mill House where we have a wonderful meal and stroll to the lobby to take the elevator "home" to our room. No need to get back in the car to find somewhere to eat. We highly recommend the […] hotel for a convenient location, comfortable room, and very good restaurant. Devamı

But if you decide to stay there and you are hungry be prepared to enjoy a special treat. There is an adjoining restaurant. The Millhouse. This place offers just about everything from steaks to seafood as well as pasta and ethnic dishes. At very reasonable prices. And if you are thirsty they boast a " Happy Days" drink specials. the hotel itself was fine....exactly what one expects for the brand and price range...well cared for, friendly staff, the indoor pool was a nice end of the day for the kids....the only letdown was the adjoining restaurant...i rarely expect much from hotel food, but this was one of the worst dining experiences i had ever had...between the nearly hour […] long wait (for scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast etc), the -at best- apathetic staff, whose only attempts to rectify the situation with what appeared to be every table was to halfheartedly mutter something about being understaffed...bear in mind at this point there were 6 tables with people and 3 apparent service staff, though no manager in sight...,and finally, when the food did arrive, was barely edible, unseasoned, dry, overcooked, and apparently thrown onto the plate....as a long standing member of the "service industry" i have a certain sympathy t o restaurant workers, and can easily imagine the many possibilities that can slow down service, affect a guests experience, etc etc, but i also can recognize when there is little or no attempt to rectify the situation........this being said....in no way did this ruin the overall hotel experience, all other aspects were perfectly fine...the meal was a small glitch in an otherwise pleasant stay Devamı

If the hotel is not completely booked, it would be nice to spread the people out for a little more privacy. Probably more work for the staff, but better for the customer. I also prefer a room as far away from the road noise as possible (back, far corner; opposite side away from the road,;etc).
