This hotel is overpriced for what is provided. The breakfast is not worth the trip to the dining room. The tvs in both our rooms did not work properly. Housekeeping apparently does not believe in using liquid cleaner or even just water on bathroom fixtures and floors (we stayed there 5 nights and not once were our baths cleaned properly). We can recommend Deniz House: It is clean, very helpfull staff, nice turkey-freakfast included and a close distance to the blue mosque. The neighbourhood was quiet - to the price it was perfect. This hotel is in a very convenient situation and good value for money. Room was spacious and clean although a little noisy as overlooked the street. No hot water on day 1 but this was rectified. Good breakfast although empty dishes were not replenished - hard luck if you arrived after 9.30! Overall a good experience.

Really good value for money, not fancy but clean and convenient. The staff were terrific, very helpful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent & very good value. The location of the hotel was ideal for us - a short and pleasant walk into the centre of Istanbul and the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, the cistern and the Sultan's palace. Excelent location near Hagia Sophia and local shops and reataurants. Cable tv, free wifi, our room was really a small apartment with frigobar a little backyard with a place to cook a nice barbecue. A good surprise.

the hotel was very clean and generally quiet (once the trains had stopped for the night). If you want an early night then dont pick the ocean view option as the trains lines are directly below. Good value breakfast was included and the tea urn seemed to be kept hot all day. Street maps as provided by the tourist info people are not very detailed, so […] I always suggest to print your own with a much higher resolution, one that is more easily read (without having to carry a magnifying glass). Better still, have a fancy ap on your smart phone with a GPS thingy. From the hotel it was an easy walk to the major attractions. Up town there are plenty of money exchanges that give a good rate and don't charge commission (beware of those at the airport). You can pay your bill at the hotel in any currency and receive an extra 5% discount. Devamı

hotel was semi-clean. smelled ofmcigarette smoke throughout. wifi did not work at all despite the fact it was listed as available. i had to walk across,the street to use a neighboring hotel's. the power was shut off shortly after midnight, leaving the room uncomfortably hot. i went downstairs to ask why the power was off and got the response, "why aren't […] you sleeping?" to which i replied that i was out trying to find functional internet. not worth the price. also a 15 min walk to haghia sophia. our friends stayed in the med cezir which was a much better deal. Perfectly fine hotel well located to reach the main sites in Sultanhamet. We had a twin room which was quite small but clean and comfortable enough. Bathroom was a bit small too but again well maintained and shower was quite spacious to be fair. Free wifi was good to have and free breakfast was nice with a decent variety of food (boiled eggs, bread, […] meze, cheese, cake, oj and tea/coffee) and very nice terrace view of the sea. Minor quibbles were that you are expected to give your room key to reception when you go out but staff tended not to be at reception when we returned and it was quite easy to lean over their desk and grab your key, which was a bit worrying so recommend you lock away any valuables you want to keep in your room for peace of mind. And staff not being at reception meant we had to wait on occasion for someone to open the building door. We also had a problem with our tv which we asked to be fixed for the first few mornings of our stay but nothing was done. Overall however I'd recommend to travellers looking for a cheap and convenient stay. Devamı

Loved the hotel, location was perfect 5 minutes walking distance from the grand bazzar, aigha Sohia, and the blue mosque. The service was amazing, and the rooms were super clean. Overall the hotel was very good. Got a room with sea view, the room was big and comfortable for two people and clean. First night I was given a room 10 minutes walk from the stated address. A walk that involved passing dilapidated buildings, houses in ruins, not to mention a rubbish tip outside the apartment. At some point the internet failed and since there's no telephone, I could not call reception to get it fixed. On nights 2 and 3, I insisted I wanted out and got […] moved to building A. The room faces the sea and is next to the railway track. The view is outstanding, but the noise from the trains were certainly not. It was in fact so loud, I hardly slept, which is amazing considering I'm 60% deaf. 4th night I moved to building B which much nicer and quiet. I was there for 5 nights.. As other stated the hotel is close to many attractions but we had the following problems 1. The AC was not working properly and the room was getting warm during the day 2. A train goes by the hotel several times a day, mostly in the morning, which makes it hard to sleep. 3. The Internet stopped working the last 3 days in our […] room and no one could fix Note, there is a restaurant by the hotel, please don't try to order from them as they will charge you 3 times the actual price once they know that u r not Turkish. I arrived at the hotel and I was told that the room I booked was not available anymore and they wanted to move me to a worse hotel. The room they offered had no room to step in with our luggages and when I objected, they said they cannot do anything. I had to call Hotels.com to cancel my reservation. Once they saw me talking over the phone, they decided […] to give me a 2 rooms as my reservation for a twin room. They then wanted to move me to another hotel the next day. When I objected to it, they found n available room which was probably made for midgets! I had to bed down to take a shower. The hotel personnel was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I stayed in a hostel down the road with a better room and half the price. Never stay here! You will be more appreciated in a hostel with private room! Devamı

the location of hotel is great. five minute walk takes you Sultan Ahmet i got the sea view room at second floor which was good except there there was a railway close to hotel. With a/c on, it is not a big deal if you close the windows. it was not noisy with closed windows.

Hotel was well-located for the Blue Mosque, Ayasofya and Topkapi Palace. The room was clean, bright and airy and staff very helpful. Although close to the sites, the area was quiet but very safe.

this hotel was so helpful, we arrived 6 hours before check in but they kept our bags for us and when we checked in our bags were in our room. Perfect for sight seeing the blue mosque is only 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast is served on the most beautiful roof terrace with a view to the sea and nothing is to much trouble.

We stayed in Istanbul on 22/Mar/2012 for 1 night. The hotel we stayed actually called "Naz Wooden House Inn", which the staff claimed they are under the same management. It may be a little bit confusing but still okay. Naz Wooden House Inn has a nice view on the rooftop terrace. It is comfortable to enjoy a cup of coffee/tea on the terrace. The hotel is equivalent to a B&B but more modern in my view. The room was comfortable, clean and cozy, and the breakfast and afternoon tea were superb. I stayed for 6 nights/7 days and i definitely received great service all throughout my stay. It is strategically located, close to all the major attractions in Sultanahmet (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, […] Basilica Cistern, and even the 7 Towers prison via rail) and shopping districts like the Spice/Egyptian Market and Grand Bazaar. The price per night was also unbeatable for the comfort and location. One thing that I am hoping for from this hotel though, whether in the immediate or not too distant future: that they find my camera's SD card that I left in the room upon my checkout. I know it was my mistake, but I do hope they still find it in the nooks and crannies of the room I stayed in. So far, they have been excellent in helping me find it, but no luck yet. I am still hopeful to recover all my family photos and photos from my trips. Maybe one day (soon), I will get great news in my inbox. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who's planning a holiday in Istanbul. :-) Devamı

This is a great cheap hotel if you only plan to sleep and eat some breakfast. The location is awesome (the road on the back side is a little noisy, but not too bad) - it is just a short walk to all the sites and restaurants. The rooms are pretty small, but they are clean, have cable TV (with CNN in English), and a fridge with free bottles of water. […] The only complaint I have is that you cannot control the heat in your room (unless you are a bodybuilder; no one in my group could turn the knobs on the old-style heaters), so you have to have someone do it for you. I was on top floor and my room was freezing, even when I asked them to turn on the heat (which I had to do everyday). My friend was on the first floor, and her room was way too hot. Other than that, we had a great stay and I would go back. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a cheap place to sleep in a good location. Devamı

Deniz Houses is a fine Hotel Have a moderate room and the location is excellent located in heart of downtown. The services are good specially the front desk people are very cooperate and nice. Front desk employee Mr. Karim is a wonderful. We will recomend Deniz Houses to all our friends and family. We had a wonderful time.
