If you're looking to go to Steinbrenner Field or Raymond James Stadium, this is an ideal place to stay. You can easily walk from the hotel, which provides free parking. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well. My only complaint was that I was told at 10:30 pm on a weeknight that my only remaining food options were pizza delivery, […] when it turned out one of the nearby diners is open 24/7. The rooms are nice, as is the pool and common areas; during the week there's also a free beer and snacks hour that makes the hotel seem more homey. Devamı

This hotel is decent - it was perfect for what we needed, which was someplace within walking distance to the Yankee Spring Training facility. Free breakfast in the morning is nice too. Not too much to do in the surrounding area - only one restaurant in walking distance (Lander's) which is okay. Free shuttle service to and from the airport. Has a pool […] and hot tub (which wasn't hot), but all within reason for the inexpensive price. Devamı

we stayed here last year for the yankee game, came back because it was a great location, and people were very friendly at front desk, steakhouse in front still has some issues, will go elsewhere for diiner next time, but will go back to the hotel for sure

Great hotel, terrific free breakfast every day and within walking distance to Steinbrenner Stadium. They've also got shuttles to the nearest malls if need be. This was our 3rd year here and we'll definitely be back next year!

The hotel could have been a little nicer. The pillow were my biggest complaint. They were all very lumpy. The room was very big.

Signed up for a shuttle ride the night before, but the driver would not take me in the morning. Had to call a cab and was late for a very important meeting.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating there. They left the hot tub open late for us to hang out in. There were ants, LOTS OF ANTS in my partner's cereal in the morning. When she reported it to the woman who worked in the breakfast area, she still had to be convinced to throw the cereal away which took several minutes. Ants happen. This stay was excellent. The staff was superior and the room amazing. We had a poolside room which was one of the largest rooms I have stayed in. It was the size of a small apartment. The breakfast was more than continental (very yummy biscuits and gravy as well as eggs and bacon). The only downside for someone afraid of birds are all the ugly looking […] ducks and other birds which seem to over run the grounds due to a small pond in the back. Overall the suite and hotel are nice and clean. Staff are friendly and the breakfast was good. However, I specifically called for a suite which had a roll in shower and bathroom that was wheelchair accessible. Although the room and the bathroom were big enough to accommodate a wheelchair, the shower was a tub and we could not get the wheelchair next […] to the toilet for easy transfer. When we talked with the front desk, they told us that none of their suites are set up with roll in showers. I would have had to get a regular room for that. I was never told that. The location of this hotel was good for our purposes. We attended the Outback bowl, and the shuttle took us and we had a short walk back. We did not have to rent a car for our stay, because the shuttle picked us and brought us to the airport. The bus drove us to local restaurants and even to the mall. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the room […] and the hotel. One suggestion: Front desk clerks should not argue with guests; it distracts from the experience. All the drivers,housekeepers, and most of the staff were good, except for Deborah. My wife made a suggestion to extend the breakfast hours during special events, such as bowl weekends, and she crassly responded that it was her opinion. The response does not even make sense. Christina and Marcel were very accommodating and I hope that Deborah would receive some sensitivity training. The breakfast was good, but it would be appreciated by the guests we spoke with if they started it later and ended it later. The breakfast hostesses would begin closing down before the designated time as well. All in all we liked our stay, but would look in the same vicinity for similar accommodations due to cool showers and more appropriate bkfst hours not starting at 6:00 am. Devamı

Older hotel but well maintained. It is set back from the highway (Dale Mabry) so it is very quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff were courteous and professional.

There was not hot water!

Easy to find, close to great restaurants and the Bucs stadium. Best continental breakfast I've had in years. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a night, pre-flight. Hotel clean, friendly, but walls are thin. Neightbors outside at 10:30 pm chatting loudly, quite disturbing until I peeked out and told them I was trying to sleep....OK after that!

I may just be being picky but my towels didn't seem too clean and had stains on them. The carpet was dirty too. Made me scared to sleep in the bed. The hotel staff was extremely helpful though but it's obvious the hotel is a little old.

A very average Holiday Inn, but within walking distance to Tampa Stadium. The good: close to the stadium, excellent restaurants nearby (Pops Diner, Landers Steakhouse), continental breakfast was nice. The bad: did not see a single smile from Holiday Inn staff the whole time we were there, pool needed a cleaning, parts of the building needed refurbishing/repair. We booked our stay here for its close proximity to Raymond James Stadium. Was also convenient to Busch Gardens. Hotel was clean, well staffed by very professional and friendly people. Hot breakfast was an added plus. Will definitely stay here again!

My buddies and I went to a concert nearby at the Hawaiian Village. That hotel was exactly what we needed. Super friendly staff, great service, and it's just plainly beautiful. The Carpets were nice and clean and the rooms were spotless. No funny odors, no bugs.On top of that, how can you beat free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a hot tub and a swimming pool? […] It was just perfect. If I ever come back to Tampa, I know where I'll stay again. Just great. :) Devamı

Great room and super breakfast...

I picked this hotel of all the similarly-priced others near the airport for the promise of free wi-fi and free breakfast. Wifi requires a password, but the front desk is happy to help with that. Breakfast in the morning is buffet-style, offers coffee and juice, little cereal boxes, eggs, bacon, biscuits, fruit, and I think I saw oatmeal, too. No one […] seemed shy about seconds, which made me feel better about pigging out before going to the airport. My one night here was a Wednesday night, and they had this thing called the "manager's special" that night. FREE DINNER. I was so pumped. The menu likely changes from night to night, but there was chili, salad, rolls and sweet tea the night I was there. I saw on a sign on the front desk that it's every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday night, so it's something to take into consideration if you're cash-conscious. My only gripe about this place? The shuttle. It's free, so I guess you get what you pay for, but when I was here, I got a shuttle to the hotel from the airport, and the shuttle driver stopped at a really sketchy looking discount store to pick up a second person. The HIE says in their ad that they doa free shuttle about town and to the airport, so I wasn't surprised to see this so much, but I started to get suspicious when the shuttle driver, who had been pretty quiet the whole ride before picking this person up, suddenly became a social butterfly. They yammered in Spanish the whole way back. I don't know much Spanish, but I picked up a few choice words I won't repeat here -- they'd ping the profanity filter (!). I had thought this other person the driver picked up was another hotel guest, but he didn't get out at the hotel at the end of the ride... The shuttle driver when I went to the airport the next morning, however, was fantastic -- good conversation, and really knowledgeable about the airport. I guess it just depends on who you get. Not a really friendly place this time out. Room was on the end, but very noisy. You could hear every door in the place close. Windows were covered with mold on the outside, not too attractive.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the Shuttle driver, Mike. He remembered my name and was happy to help in anyway he could. I would stay again, price was reasonable and location was convenient to the airport and shopping

we had a great time, the hotel was clean, safe, quiet. They had a free dinner and drinks for happy hour, the pool was perfect, the location is ideal for going out in Tampa!

The hotel is fairly convenient--close to the stadium, and reasonably close to major highways. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, although good restaurants are a relatively short drive away. The hotel seems pretty run down although certain clean enough. I was only staying for one night and that's about the maximum I'd want to stay. This hotel was fine for our weekend stay. Only issues were no hot water the first morning, which was fixed later that day, and a very uncomfortable bed. Hopefully the Holiday Inn will be replacing the old mattress we had soon. Other than that, the hotel was adequate for the Hotels.com rate. Service was great and hotel was clean.

Excellent place to stay if you are attending a game at Raymond James stadium, only a half mile away!

Great location for going to the stadium. Nice rooms and a nice breakfast. Would stay again for another football game.

I have stayed at the Crown plaza in Tampa and it doesn't hold a candle to this Holiday inn Express. The rooms are large clean, and the beds are comfortable. The Staff is very friendly and willing to help with everything.

I have spent 5 nights at this hotel and will spend more. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff is more then helpful.

I really liked the accomodations in this hotel. Big rooms and free breakfast is always good. You are about 5 miles from the happenings in the town, but I didnt mind driving towards them. All in all, it was a good experience.

Staff was very nice, upgraded our room w/o us asking - clean, updated - wish we could have stayed longer - will definately stay there again. Was not overpriced at all. Englewood, FL

one elevator did not work. the other elevator worked but we got stuck in it for about ten minutes then had to use the stairs.
