Everything was good. Only very minor complaints were the continental breakfast (could have been better put together). And the back of the building had a construction company site and got loud at times. Over all, the room was clean and the beds more comfortable than some places I've stayed in. I like the Super 8- it was clean, staff is very friendly, helpful. Location- excellent for me. Few things could be better: mattresses are way to soft, breakfast- poor choice+ unhealthy: for the same price could be offered brown toast (or bread) instead of only white, less sweets+ one egg or healthy cereal or a little cheese. Good location on route 9, with easy access to everything. Room was perfectly comfortable and clean. Good quality mattresses. Decent value for visits to Vassar, Marist, Hyde Park. Only two drawbacks. First, the continental breakfast is about as basic as it could get. Couldn't you at least pretend it's a healthy meal and put a bowl of fruit out as an […] option? Secondly, the walls and ceilings are thin and noise from nearby rooms could ultimately be a problem on busy nights. The pillows were tiny and worn, and the sheets and comforter were full of holes. The heater was loud and took quite a while to put out any significant heat. The staff was pretty friendly though...

The dead bolt was missing a screw we went out of room shut Door and dead bolt locked us out Had to get something from desk to open door he said this happened last night too ! I would think they would fix the problem if a Customer already got locked out once

Everything was good. I stayed on the 2 nd floor and did not hera anybody walking over my head this time.

Very decent hotel for the money. The person on the front desk was helpful. The room was clean and large. The air conditioner was running well, the breakfast was ok. The only disappointment was that I could hear people walking over my head on the second floor. The rest was ok.

I guess you get what you pay for. The bed and pillows were miserable! The room was huge but there also wasn't much hot water and the heater didn't work well either despite how noisey it was.

Heater didn't work properly. Shower n tub faucets were lose and rattled. Tv outdated. Dish network kept screwing up. Good for last minute.

Floors are very squeeky and if you are on the first floor it is hard to sleep. I could not hear the television with the volume all the way up. People at the desk were friendly and very nice. I would stay there again if I had to. I stayed during the Hurricane Sandy event and a lot of the utility workers were coming and going so all the squeeking floors […] made it hard to sleep.It is an older hotel and in need of updating. There are several issue which need to be commented about. 1. There were cobwebs in my room and I found a spider (not associated with the cobwebs) on my bed. 2. The only ice machine was out of order. 3. The hotel was well situated for my needs and the reception staff were helpful and pleasant. The facilities were basic but ok. The breakfast was little more than cereals, bread and cakes. I would stay again if no other local hotels were available. Overall I stayed at three hotels in America and was expecting much better standards than I found. We recently stayed @ the Super 8 in Poughkeepsie when dropping off our son for his 1st yr @ Vassar. The room was a nice size, clean, & had all the amenities we needed & was in a nice location.. all for a reasonable price. My only complaint was we did not know how to work the shower ...was different from anything I've seen so far. What complicated matter […] was a piece was missing from the tub leading us to believe it was the issue. The front desk did not come to our aid & asked a housekeeper who also declined ...perhaps because of a language barrier ...she was Hispanic. Finally she contacted "Angel" who was likely maintenance. He arrived in 25 minutes or so but we had figured it out by then. It was an inconvenience & slowed us up for our day of moving Mikey into his dorm. My only other complaint was the free breakfast was rather sparse & some items were out by the time we ate both mornings. Devamı

Overall the room was clean, apart from a foul smell coming from the air conditioner. The hotel manager and his team were very attentive and handled the situation timely, efficiently, and very professional.

room was clean as well as the bathroom very clean. there was a lot of noise from the guests above us the first night, we did not say anything to management hoping it would let up, it did at 2 am. The next day the desk clerk assured us that action would have been taken if we had called, now I wish I had. Not bad! Had to cancel the final night of a planned two day stay and the staff were helpful in getting me in contact with hotels.com to get a refund for the second night.

The hotel smelled. The web site made it seem as though it was right off the highway, which it wasn't. It was extremely dirty.

The lobby was full of trash and when I checked in I asked the woman if there was place close by I could grab a sandwich and her response was I don't know. There are two Subways and a Panera in very close for future reference. **THEY TAKE AN IMPRINT OF YOUR CREDIT CARD AT CHECK IN AND IT IS LEFT AT THE FRONT DESK UNATTENDED UNTIL YOU CHECK OUT** The […] woman then checked me into a smoking room and when I walked into the 90 degree ashtray of a room I called to ask her if it was a smoking room and she said no. When I explained the awful smell she said oh yea I guess it is a smoking room and gave me keys to a non-smoking room. I do have to say my new room was clean. The bathroom had granite countertops and was pretty spotless and the carpet looked well vacumed. The bedspread had holes and wasn't in the best condition but the sheets were clean. When I checked out Kumar was much more friendly than the woman who checked me in and noticed I had switched rooms and asked how I liked the new room which I thought was very nice. I would not stay here again, but if this is your only option I would say go with extremely low expectations. Devamı

Clean, updated, quiet, comfortable, and well located, at relatively low rates. 4 of 6 outgoing local calls failed and we could not receive 3 successive incoming calls yet message light flashed but could not be cancelled. I stayed on the first floor and could hear everything above me from the people in the room above me, I could also hear the people outside my door very clearly talking as the walked down the hallway. I've never run out of hot water in a hotel before. This room was very large and didn't adequate furniture to fill it. The bed was comfortable, but the comforter […] was rough underneath and scratchy.
