Awesome location and great view. Let's get that out of the way. However, I was suprised I didn't stay in the main hotel and the unit didn't look like the photos you're sold on. Apparantly they own another building on St. Paul which is one street back from the river. The view was still good and I enjoyed the location, but it simply wasn't what I was […] expecting. The unit could have been cleaned more. I fount two huge beattles. You have to be wary of all the taxes that get added to your bill. Get used to it. All in all I still liked the hotel. Bookended a week in Qubec City with nights here. Good place for those wanting a kitchen for dining in. The lumpy sofa bed and very low quality LAN connection were tolerable. But the failed temperature controls made sleeping difficult our second night. Staff valiantly, though unsuccessfully, tried to repair these issues. Wish I had known that the lofts were actually scattered around the area rather than in a single building and that there was a very long haul up stairs (no elevator) to my unit. The loft was very clean, well set up and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for me the number of stairs to my unit on the 4th floor […] was just more than I want to deal with. I was also surprised that there was no housekeeping room makeup daily. they ran out of hot water the heater was not working properly the condition of the hotel was not good doors broken and was too old pictures looked so much nicer than it did in person

The lofts are beautiful and comfortable. It is a nice location within walking distance of old port, restaurants and shops. Service was efficient and friendly. We did not mind the steps and were on the top floor. For those not in shape they may be an issue. The two negatives we encountered was that there was a sky light in one of the bedrooms and there […] was ample noise from the street below and loft below on the Saturday night we were there. The hotel was a pleasant surprise and experience. The staff was very friendly and brought us right to our loft in another location. The loft was extremely clean and was in an excellent location for a night out in Old Montreal. With full kitchen, a spa bathroom and king size bed, we will be using this location again for a longer term stay.

We were excited to travel to Montreal and we wanted to find a place that didn't feel like a traditional hotel. We found this awesome concept that was both affordable and lavish. Having a full kitchen inside was amazing. We used it every morning to make breakfast and keep our drinks and snacks for the road trip back home cold. The king sized bed was […] extra comfortable. We also loved the rustic exposed brick and wood beams. High ceilings were also a plus! Only downside was there was a problem with the jacuzzi and it kept turning on and off by itself. A very wonderful experience with a terrific front desk staff and great service. The room was very rustic and is a wonderful change fom the cookie cutter accomodations of the large chain hotels. This is a must do at least once with a great unbeatable location. Music from the bars in the area can be loud, but depending on what time your expecting to arrive […] from your night out, and what floor your on, it wont affect you. Absolutely charming, gorgeous loft apartment in the heart of Old Montreal. The Loft du Vieux Port, assoicated with the Auberge du Vieux Port (they own 6 buildings in the area - one for the main hotel "the Auberge" and the rest are lofts. If you are expecting a chain hotel like Holiday or Days Inn - don't stay here! There is no elevator, but a wonderful […] valet will carry all your stuff upstairs if you cannot. There are no workout facilities - but you will do tons of walking in Old Montreal. No parking - the valet will take care of your car. We stayed at the loft at 408 St Gabriel, corner of St Paul. Right over the Steakhouse du Vieux Port, so we had heavenly hickory smoke smells in our room all day - fantastic! Lovely kitchenette, amazing comfortable bed, living/dining area - perfect!!! Hosted friends from UK and US and found the Lofts the perfect place to stay in Old Montreal. Rooms were great. Service was outstanding. Breakfast next morning was not only excellent but reasonably priced. Merci!

Super friendly and helpful staff and great rooms in the Old Port area. This hotel is spread out over a couple of different buildings, some of which do NOT have an elevator, so if you can't climb stairs, this may be an issue. Otherwise, everything (service, location, views) is perfect.

Fabulously located in Old Port. The location was in a different building than the one you checked in at but the staff were fantastic in transporting our luggage and parking the car. The loft was beautiful and elegant. Wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time staying in the Lofts in the Old Port of Montreal, and wish that we had been there for a longer visit to make having a full kitchen a more integral part of the experience. We were right across the street from the Science Center and IMAX (where we went one evening. The location is surrounded by great restaurants, art galleries, museums, […] and of course the Port itself, which was wonderful for strolling. the staff were very friendly and efficient, and even walking up the stairs felt like a great way to stay in shape while away from our regular routine. We did not realize that breakfast was not included in the Lofts. So our waitress charged us $35 for two for a few croissants and yogurt (at this price we should have gotten a cooked breakfast, but the waitress did not explain this to us). The room itself was breathtaking ... but it soon became apparent it was badly in need of attention. The bathroom was old and the fixtures were falling apart. The dishes and cutlery in the kitchen were the cheapest sort. The cabinets were rickety and held up by a couple of untreated pieces of wood! Couch and chairs in front of TV had no springs and were […] flat and misshappen. We were promised housekeeping as we were staying for a week, but no one ever came. The air conditioner leaked constantly - we had a pan of water surrounded by towels on the floor for the last 4 days. Basically ... In the center of Vieux Port Montreal. Close to Cathedral Notre Dame, and good restaurants. Great receptionist, clean neat and beautiful lofts. Sound insulation is not that good though, so NOT the place for parties and gatherings (they kicked us out, though we weren't noisy), hahaha. For parties go to Loft Hotel on Saint Denis.

There was only air conditioning in the public areas, none in the bedrooms. The bedroom doors had windows in them? Most if not all of the lights had broken switches. There was a nightclub on the second floor (by the way the loft is a third floor walkup) so you could hear/feel the thump, thump, thump of the bass until 3am.

Our loft was charming, homey and well-kept. The location is right in the old city and port area, so it was easy to duck back into the room for a rest or a meal. The staff at the hotel around the corner was friendly and helpful. Be aware that the night life in this neighborhood is lively and you can hear some of it from the loft.

Walking up several flights of stairs due to lack of an elevator is not fun after you do it once. Location next to a bar where music is played until twelve midnight, one and once until 3 am is awful. The staff was very accommodating but the stairs and the incredible noise until late at night is enough for me not to repeat my stay. No dishwasher, limited […] amenities. Not a good value all in all. We were expecting a "room" and got a suite. We had kitchen facilities, living area and washer/dryer. Everything in the suite was new and VERY clean. All of the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The auberge is located on the main historic walking area in Montreal and only a short walk from attractions and subway. That was great. The only negative […] aspect was that our suite was on the fourth floor of a building across from the main building and there was no elevator. The bell men carried the luggage up and down, but everytime we went out we had to walk up all the steps. If stairs are an issue, request a room in the main building where there is an elevator. Lofts du Vieux-Port is a novel stay in the center of old Montreal. Our loft had the format of a generously sized studio apartment with European flair and urban decor. Each unit appears to be individually furnished and decorated; no institutionalized sameness here. That said, we would have appreciated learning our studio was a three floor walk-up before […] we got there. And while the CD player was a nice touch, it would have been far more impressive had it actually played our CD's. A little soap bar helped loosen the dresser drawers, and after that we were able to enjoy our floor to ceiling windows. Beautiful old hotel.Staff was really good especially concierge. Lighting rather dark esp. kitchen. Coffee maker but no coffee.People need to know rooms are not accesible in The Lofts. Whirpool tub best I have ever experienced. Restaurant staff excellent.Would recommend highly.

You can't really go wrong here. Beautiful hotel in a great location. Only drawback would be the lack of wifi in the room itself. Other than that, I'd highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel. Good service and very friendly staff. The only thing that was not clear in the room description is that it was in a separate building and up four flights of stairs. I was traveling with my mother who recently had a hip replacement and there was no way she could have managed the stairs. The hotel was very accommodating and switched the […] room to one with an elevator, but it was not a loft. If you stay at this hotel and have any difficulty with stairs, be sure to call them and find out if there's elevator access. Even the room we were moved to had some stairs although not as many - only about 6 -- so this hotel is excellent, but not necessarily for everyone. Devamı

We stayed here for two nights with our dog , March 21 and 22 .We could not have been happier with the accomodations. Beautiful, cozy room with a fully equipped kitchen. There was a very inviting fireplace but we did not use it because the weather was unseasonably warm! Having stayed in the main Auberge a few years back [and loved it] we were excited to rent one of their lofts just around the corner. The good: great location very spacious accommodations nice linens great valet service hotel barmaid was very nice - prices were fair The bad: terrible, outdated faucets, counter tops etc [old & kind of gross] broken […] coffee pot, stereo was dismantled I had to rewire, minimal glasses, no sponge or dishtowels etc. had to carry ice & such from main hotel as there wasn't any access to our loft several attempts to log onto internet before we were given correct code the biggest problem was that our wakeup call never came & we almost missed dinner reservations we had planned our entire trip around! at check out there were charges that we had to dispute such as fee for dog etc [which would be valid if it were mentioned anytime prior to our checking out]. by simply adding it at end even though we were in lobby many many times re: above issues it seemed very unprofessional. We had a positive stay. I could overlook the semi dilapidated condition of the loft because we were able to stay in the room with our friends which was more fun for us. Seems a shame - if they were to invest $1500 into the apartment they could probably charge twice as much! Devamı

This hotel was perfect. It was beautifully decorated and had so much charm. It was classier than any hotel I've ever stayed in and I have traveled a lot! The rooms were wonderfully equipped with nice soaps and lotions. Snacks and drinks were available if you needed them. The windows opened to the street and it was really nice to see the river and hear […] the clatter clatter of horse and buggy hoofs below. You could also watch all of the action right from your room. The restaraunt staff was amazing. We sat at the bar for coctails and oysters before heading out. They was so friendly and helpful leading us in the right direction. The breakfast was great: made to order in the restaraunt. I can't wait to go back. My only complaint was the bed was a little soft and could have been firmer. This place is simply amazing! Devamı
