Perfect Hotel to stay if you're planning to visit Legoland. I wish we could stay longer. Our kids loved the waffles. There is no dinner service as mentioned in some earlier messages.

In Carlsbad, everything’s coming up buttercups. These flowers cover 50 acres at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Nearby, the Museum of Making Music highlights American composition and instruments. Directly north, Oceanside is midpoint between Los Angeles and San Diego. This beach town is known for its 1,954-foot pier, the longest wooden pier in the West Coast. Legoland theme park is nearby.

The hotel was going through some remodeling when I arrived there for California 70.3 Half Ironman 2012. The place is fine for a quick stay but what I found to be very problematic was that by the time I was ready to go to bed, I realized that the pillows did not have any pillow cases -- and it was already 1130pm -- the front offices close at 11pm. "A great value"
What a great value this was!

This was an unexpected pleasure. Being from Las Vegas, the bar was set high... and well they delivered. Clean room. good service, friendly staff, and nice location. It ain't the hotel I work at on the strip but, this place did perfectly. Well worth the second look!
"Loved the in-room kitchen"
Double bed room was perfect. Had a full-size fridge & microwave which saved us from expensive food at LegoLand. Stayed here & LegoLand was just over the hill (9 minute drive). Arrived at 3am and felt safe eventhough it was just my son & I. Nothing glamerous here but for it's cheap price per night, I'll he staying here again! "Repeat guest"
We've stayed here during graduation at GIA. It's in a nice area - backs up to a golf course. Close to everything without being too pricey. Lots of nicer, more expensive rooms on the PCH but this was just a short drive from the beach and all the shops.

The room was nice, quiet comfortable, the TV was not so good, but overall it was convenient and low priced
"Budget hotel for legoland"
If you are looking for a budget hotel, then this workout for you. It is in a very nice location. very close to legoland, which is where we were headed. Good shopping malls close by. Golf course is near by. some rooms may face the golf course as well. Does not have room service, which they tell you upfront, so this was not an expectation. Beds are […] not that comfortable. "extended stay motel san diego"
Everything was great the only thing that was bad was the horrible bed it made a lot of noise and was really uncomfortable but overall the stay was great
"5 minutes east of Carlsbad/Oceanside"
Inexpensive hotel with amazing golf course view. 5 minutes out of Carlsbad Village area and beach. Negative-Hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. However, our room had a small kitchen so one could eat in.

"Basic self-catering hotel"
At Extended Stay you are basically renting a studio apartment -- no daily housekeeping, etc. Front desk staff, especially Josie, were very friendly and helpful if we wanted anything. The kitchen has everything you really need, but we knew to bring a few things from home to make things a bit more convenient. I am on a restricted diet, so the kitchen […] is a must if we are staying more than overnight. I did think the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and spruced things up just a little myself. "Extended Stay America - Oceanside, CA"
Clean rooms, helpful and cheerful staff. Used the hotel as a hub for our stay in southern California. Convenient access to I-5. 30 minutes from San Diego attractions. Would book again.
"Not worth the money"
Spend a little more a stay somewhere else. Bad location. Rude staff. Dirty rooms (bathroom toilet was dirty from someone else. yuck! And sheets had someone's hair in it. Then if you need them to clean the room that you didn't even dirty, they wont unless you have stayed there for so many days.

"Wouldn't stay here."
This hotel was in a convenient location, but the bathroom was gross, I found hair on the sink and in the shower. I asked for non-smoking yet the hall smelled strong of cigarrete, my blanket had cigarette burns.To say the least I was not happy with this hotel.

Had an extremely noisy bathroom fan and inop lock for room. Told desk in the am and threw in a little exageration about maybe smelling smoke for effect...came back late pm...nothing done, oh well.
you have bath soap in the shower,but you don't have shampoo. youre 1 small pillow case per person is not enough,make it 2 next time,or 1 big size pillow case. need vending machine for drinks and other food stuff. other things are ok,
no hair blower... the hall way is dirty. the receptionist told us to come back after 30 minutes but we came back after 50 minutes, they kept us waiting in the lobby for another 30 minutes bec they will clean the room first...
"Messy messy"
We were looking for inexpensive, which we know also means "no frills," and that was fine with us. But what we did not expect was the overflowing garbage receptacles at the entrance, and a very strong, almost overpowering fried or fast food odor each time we rode the elevator, so bad that we ended up taking the stairs.

The location and service was good but the bed was extremely lumpy and they do not offer a daily maid service, so anything like extra towels you had to ask for.

very comfortable family loved it. only issue someone knocking very loudly at our door. then leaving. other than that slept well after spending our day at legoland.

I love that this place had a kitchen. It was close to a very nice beach (but definitely not walking close). It was right next to a busy road, but I couldn't hear the traffic. The front desk called to check in on things and room service also called to check in on our food stuffs. Very good customer service and a nice experience.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room, but overall, the room fell far short of necessities. No coffee pot, hairdryer, and very thin towels. Pillows were horrible, bed was mediocre,, air conditioner very noisy, and lots of freeway noise when air wasn't on. I thought the location was convenient but I probably wouldn't stay here ag […] ain. "Not recommended"
The staff at the main desk were very courteous & friendly, but the overall experience was bad. I am a very adaptable person, BUT there was a foul odor in the lobby that permeated to the 2nd floor, no hair dryer in room, thin bath towels, 1 tiny bar of soap for 2 people, and the worst was finding a blood stain on one of the pillowcases!!
