Homewood Suites Carlsbad North - Carlsbad

Perfect Hotel to stay if you're planning to visit Legoland. I wish we could stay longer. Our kids loved the waffles. There is no dinner service as mentioned in some earlier messages.

This is a great place to stay if you are in the Carlsbad area. The breakfasts were great and the make your own waffle station was a big hit with my kids!! The biggest problem is that to get to Legoland (the main purpose of our trip!) you had to drive around the long way as you can only make a right out of the driveway. Clean, convenient close to Legoland, good breakfast & dinners too!, that helps the budget. OH free wine & beer @ dinner, can't beat that. Great family hotel, mini kitchens in the rooms & bbq's @ the pool patio. It worked for my family & we will come again.

We originally booked a King suite. When we checked in the girl at the desk said they were upgrading us to 2 queens. I asked her how was this an upgrade since I prefer a king bed? She replied: Families prefer this and didn't go on. I found out later that the upgrade would have given my son his own bed, in his own bedroom, as opposed to the pull out couch. […] And he would have had his own bathroom. Obviously we would have preferred this. But the girl neglected to explain the benefits of the upgrade, even after I asked. I was very upset and it was too late when we found out to change rooms. We were very surprised when we arrived. First of all the staff is extremely friendly, I have not been treated like this in a hotel in a long time. The rooms are really nice (small but have everything you need). The little kitchens add that touch. Very clean and quiet. The breakfast is good, not just pastries and juice. It was very convenient for the […] Safari park which is where we were headed for the day. I would stay here again in a hearbeat and recommend it to everyone especially if you have children. Nice pool area with ping pong table. Only a couple of miles to the beach so you can go that way aswell. One of the cleanest hotels that I have seen in a long time. Devamı

I was very pleased with our accommodations. Nice, large suite with a full refrigerator and stocked kitchen. We had 2 adults, 3 children, and 1 baby and everyone was comfortable. We picked this hotel because of the size of our group and its proximity to Legoland since that was the main focus of our trip. All the employees we interacted with were knowledgable and pleasant. Breakfast and dinner were very good....no complaints from anyone in our group. We used the free shuttle service to Legoland and that ended up saving us 24.00 […] over 2 days. The service was always on time and when we got rained out on the first afternoon the shuttle came to the front gate to pick us up to limit our exposure to the rain. There is not one negative comment about the hotel itself, very comfortable and very clean, buffet breakfast was excellent...........the only thing was the location and it really was only a few miles from the interstate 5 so it wasnt bad.......it was just not as close to the beach as we normally stay when we go to Carlsbad but I would definitely stay […] there again. My husband talked me into spending a bit more on a hotel than I would have so we could have a separate room from our 5-year-old. I'm so glad he did. This hotel was so nice. Us in the bedroom and the child on the sofabed helped everyone sleep better. The room was clean, nice, comfortable, and the kitchen (though small) was better stocked than some apartments […] and condos we've rented. We didn't get to take advantage of the free dinner and cocktail hour they have from 5-7pm M-Th, but we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It really was the nicest free breakfast buffet, and with the most options, than I have ever seen (and believe me, we're frugal and all about the free breakfast option). We were given the option of a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. We picked the 3rd so we wouldn't hear anyone above us. We have no complaints of any noise, and hopefully the people below us didn't either. The hotel is also very conveniently located for Legoland — about a 5 minute drive. We would definitely stay there again. Devamı

We had a great time having to stay at the hotel, with going to Legoland & the beach. Everything meant our expectations....breakfast was great. Free shuttle ride to Legoland. My boys were happy as well. :)

I'm surprised that this is only rated a 3 star hotel. It was really nice, spacious and clean. Although near a small airport, it was so quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable and i love having a variety of pillows to choose from . We got a very resonsable rate and the king suite room was huge. Breakfast was also included. Great place to stay and family friendly. Just wished for some chairs outside to enjoy the nice weather!

We paid a little bit more to enjoy a suite, it was worth it! A great complimentary breakfast everyday, and a simple meal in the evening. We were not far from the beach and shopping. It was a delightful week.

Just a little noisy in the morning. Dinning room is too small to accommodate those many guests. Dinning table in room has only 2 chairs. We have to bring our own 2 chairs. Other than that, we are quite satisfied.

We stayed in this hotel with 4 kids...it was very clean, comfortable pillow top beds. The sleeper sofa was as expected...not the greatest, but still fine. The room was very roomy, had a mini kitchen which was so handy to do a good dishwasher wash of waterbottles and sip cups that we had been traveling with for a few days. Pool was nice, clean, heated. […] Loved the spa. Gym had a nice assortment of weights and treadmills that all worked. The breakfast was great in the morning. Best hotel we've used in a while. Devamı

Loved this place! It was very nice and clean and the staff was terrific. It had everything, a very comfortable bed, kitchen and breakfast was included. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. I will stay here again.

This was our second stay at this hotel and definitely will not be our last. Everything is top notch and the staff is very nice. Everything is extremely clean and neat and you can tell they take great pride in this hotel. The location is great and close to everything.

The hotel is well kept. House keeping does a fine job. The bed was exceptional. It was very nice to have the free breakfast buffet.

Our suite was roomy, beds were very comfortable, bathroom was huge. We enjoyed the heated pool, the complimentary full hot breakfast, and the helpfulness of the staff. Also, Mon - Thurs evenings is a complimentary dinner.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We got in at 9 am after driving all night. We called for an early check in and they were very helpful. Misty got house keeping to clean our room and we were able to check in right away. The free breakfast buffet was still being served and was offered to us. This hotel also has a free shuttle service to Legoland. We saved […] $15/day by using the shuttle. They were prompt and very kind. The rooms we were clean, classy, and very comfortable. The kitchen small and perfect with granite counter tops and all the necessary appliance if you are traveling with kiddos. The breakfast were included daily and we also had a night of free dinner, beer and wine. I can't wait to go back again!!! Devamı

Great hotel. They do the little extras. The breakfast is good and the dinners even came with beverages. This was our second time staying there and it was just as expected. We already recommend to friends.

We stayed there for our visit to Legoland. Great hotel room, plenty of space and a separate living area from the bedroom.

Truly delightful. I travel extensively and I can say these hotels are tops. Super fast check in, amazing rooms and a really great breakfast. You just can't beat this for the price. Just a pity they are not everywhere I go. Go Homewood!

We were in this area for a wedding and to go to Lego land. It fit us perfect to have a room and living room with a door so that while our young ones were napping or in bed early we could still enjoy ourselves. The hotel is clean and having the kitchen is very convenient! Breakfast was great too!

While this hotel looked absolutely lovely on arrival and is in a very convenient location, we ended up checking out within an hour of arrival. When we arrived at our room, we noticed that there was carpet cleaning equipment in the hallway and a note on our door saying that the carpets may be "damp" as they had just been cleaned. Damp was a massive understatement. […] The minute we removed our shoes, our socks were soaked through as was the tote bag that we had set on the floor. We contacted the front desk to inquire if there were any dry rooms available. They moved us to a different room where the carpets were still damp but somewhat drier than the first room. However, when we sat on the couch in the second room, the upholstery was soaking wet to the point that we had to change our clothing. When we called the front desk, they offered to bring up dry couch cushions. About 15 minutes later, hotel staff arrived with two throw pillows (NOT couch cushions) for us to sit on. We called the front desk again to see if there were any dry rooms. At that point, the front desk informed us that EVERY room in the hotel was AT LEAST damp if not soaking wet. We then decided to check out. When we spoke with the hotel manager, she let us know that we were supposed to be given a letter on arrival informing us of the wet carpets and upholstery, which we were never given. While checking out, the front desk phone was ringing constantly with people complaning about the wet carpets. We chose this hotel because it is pet friendly and we were traveling with a small dog...this certainly made finding different accommodations at the last minute challenging! Devamı

We had a a very nice stay at Homewood Suites in Carlsbad. We were there to visit Legoland and were pleased at how convenient is was to get to Legoland, restaurants and the beach. We loved the breakfast buffet every morning, friendly staff and decor. It was very clean and updated beautifully.

This was a last minute reservation as we were not sure what area we would be in for this night. Our whole family was impressed with the Suites. It was like a mini apartment and all of our expectations were exceeded. the only issue that we ran into is that there is only 1 laundry facility for all of the suites and we had to wait forever to do any laundry. […] The breakfast was really good and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay with them again in the future. There were 3 adults and 3 children in our suite and we were not lacking for space. Great facility. Thank you! Devamı

This is our 4th year staying here for our annual trip to Legoland. Hotel is under new management this year and the staff was very friendly and eager to please. You can't beat the free wine/beer with free hot buffet dinner on Mon-Thurs nights. Hot breakfast is great as well and we love the fact that it is a kid friendly hotel less than 5 minutes from […] Legoland. We have told all our friends to stay here and we will be back again ourselves next year. Beds are comfortable and my husband says the pillows are some of the best he has ever slept on. Devamı

Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Close to Oceanside and Carlsbad, Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to San Diego.

they did not have a room with 2 dble beds, and we had 4 pp. The pull out couch was not very comfortable (as they described it to be)

I stayed in a King Suite and my trip was extended so I actually stayed 9 nights. The room is in great shape and is kept very clean. The property in general is very nice. Breakfast is good with a lot of variety including hot eggs, meats, waffles, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, etc. Monday through Thursday there is FREE BEER (including Stone Brewery's […] signature beer, Negra Modelo, Bud Light and one other). On Friday there was a beer tasting of some lcoal micro-brews that were fantastic. There is also happy hour food that is substantial and can easily cover dinner. So, lots of value in the freebies here. The staff are all very nice and helpful (I received many packages and had to extend my stay three times and they were great). The only criticism I can contribute is that the card reader on one of the entrances is unreliable and one of the guest laundry washing machines was out of order. The exercise facility is above average with good cardio machines, a large selection of dumbells and medicine balls. And they have FREE BEER :-) Devamı

What a wonderful stay for my family. The staff was so helpful and accommodations were great. The rooms were tastefully done (I am an Interior Designer) and comfortable. They coouldn't seem to have done enough. We bought year round passes for Legoland so we will be back and look forward to it.

We happened to stay here over Labor Day weekend, while the hotel was full of families heading to LegoLand. Despite this, our room was pretty quiet and comfortable. The suite had lots of space, a good bed, TV's in both rooms, nice furniture and appointments. Breakfast was very good, but a bit chaotic with all the families. Any other weekend, it's probably […] not as busy (we had a hard time finding a place to sit with our food!) The room air conditioning was very effective, but not very quiet, and the room always seemed to be too cold with it turned on. With the mild outdoors weather, we were very comfortable with a window open. The pool area is large, and ideal for kids. Good choice for a family. Devamı

Great hotel, comfortable, Breakfast was not only plus it was delicious. The big limitation was there was no grocery store closeby except for Costco (which I don't consider as grocery store when I am travelling) Employees were courteous and prompt.
