Swans Suites Hotel - Victoria

I was expecting worse..the room is cute the master had a skylight but no windows & was warm.Iwas apprehensive with putting tykes in the 2nd bedroom..The stairs start outside their door,,,The only bathroom was downstairs and flooded...The fourth member of our group had to take a cold shower. Parking lot was unspupervised.

Pretty nice hotel, I'd be happy to stay there again, but wouldn't rush back.

We have always enjoyed Swan"s fine brewed beer and delicious food, and now we know Swan"s Hotel is one of the best places to stay in Victoria. Fabulous location, friendly, helpful staff,original art work and comfortable rooms. When I envisioned a hotel suite, I did not think that the tiny bedrooms would be on another level than the narrow little living room. We did not need the kitchen, so the lower space was wasted. I thought we would get two bedrooms and two baths but got only one small bath with a toilet that was reluctant to flush. Was I misled by the guy I talked to […] at Hotels,com or did I just misunderstand? If I had not had an inflated view of what to expect, I think I might have been pleased. The people were nice, the location good for downtown activities, the beds comfortable. The smoke from the pub downstairs did come in my open window, and the streetlights made me draw the shades; I closed the window and the shades and slept fine after that. Devamı

Nice big room and very clean. Light on service staff but brew pub/restaurant is nice

Enjoyed our stay. The room was unique with high a high ceiling and comfortable bed. Great music in the pub with a fun crowd. Couldn't have asked for a better location.

Our stay was very pleasant in a very confortable suite. The 1 bedroom suites are very spacious and the hotel is located near the harbour and great shopping.

We stayed in a suite. Very clean, and the staff are friendly. Neighborhood is not the greatest, but we did not have any issues. Some shady-looking characters on the streets in the evenings.

I stay at swans every time I go to Victoria... The rooms are really neat especially if you get one facing the bridge. The beer at the brew pub down stairs is great.

This was our first stay at the Swan. When we arrived the lobby was ok but very small and nothing special, the hallway leading to our room seemed small and dark and provided a bit of foreboding. But when we got to the rooms they were great. Large, original art work, clean, great bathrooms - all in all very nice. Staff was friendly and we really liked […] the neighborhood. Tons of small restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel. I prefer this to being right on the inner harbor where you tend to have to walk a long ways to get to the restaurants. Devamı

We booked this hotel last minute. I stayed in Victoria in both Fairmount and Oswego. Oswego price range is similar to Swans (if not cheaper) and the room there was way better than Swans. Swans room was dark, gloomy with the most depressing paintings ever. The hotel was close to the night clubs, so it was loud on Saturday. I don't think I'll go back […] there again. Devamı

loved the king size bed, feels like home, clean and spacious room. would recommend this hotel.

Totally happy with this hotel! Service was great, room was beautiful, rates were more than fair! Loved the apples in the fridge too! Can't wait to stay here again!

Swans is in a great location for night life and close to the water for an evening or morning stroll. The rooms are nicely finished and if you get a room that is not above the pub you do not have to stay up until closing! Fun place!

I went with my family (wife and 2 girls) to run Victoria Half-marathon and the Hotel was well located to get access to restaurants, shopping and recreation areas. Service was awesome and they quickly responded to each of my requests. We got an upgraded room (suite with two level) in the last floor in the west side of the building where we had an odd […] view. Yes, we had a nice view to the bahia/marina and to am old empty building that my girls said it was hunted. Although, it was a very good room for 4 of us to rest after long days going back and forth in the city. Parking lot is one block far from the hotel and I couldn’t see any security around (total 9 canadian dolar for overnight stay). Finally, room was fully loaded with refrigarator, kitchen, microwave, flat TVs, airconditioning, DVD, etc. Again, perfect for family. Devamı

We arrived early and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, took our bags so we could wander around downtown for a while. The room itself was lovely (loft bedroom) BUT the bathroom was too far from the bedroom! A trip down the stairs at night may well become a "trip" down the stairs. In addition there were loud and assumably drunk people […] in the hall outside our room in the late evening, probably from the bar downstairs which is very lively. This may be a plus for some but we were tired and just wanted to get some rest. Aside from the breakfast server who delivered our food and promptly disappeared, the staff was very kind and helpful which has been the case every time we have visited Victoria. Devamı

We arrived early and were checked in with no problems. The hotel upgraded us to a gorgeous suite. Definitely a treat for weary travelers.

I was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a one bedroom suite. The suite was very charming and functional. Only drawback was no A/C....though it normally is cool enough in Victoria without A/C. The hotel also provided breakfast vouchers redeemable at their restaurant. Breakfast was quite good. Swans Hotel down town Victoria was quirky and "unspoiled". There are psher and more expensive hotels but none with the character just on the Chinese qtr but right by the harbour and most amenities. It was the 1st hotel on our 4 week trip to that we actually wanted to eat in for all 3 main meals of the day. Themanagement style is noticebly positive and […] present. Devamı

we loved the room, could have stayed for a month. The bed was really comfortable. The shower didnt have very much pressure that was probably the only issue. It's a walk from the Empress Hotel, etc. There's an abandoned building across the street and a YMCA or something a building down, but that really didn't bother us. The brew pub was fun and the […] Bistro had excellent food and we were lucky to get in, even though they were packed and we didn't have a reservation. We loved the ambiance, a sort of fusion between European and American. Great rooms, location, setting, friendliness and value! The downstairs pub & dining was convenient and food adequate but, overall, we were extremely satisfied. Will stay there again!

Den første suite var ikke god nok, for meget støj fra ventilationsanlæg udenfor. Fik en ny dagen efter som var ok. Hyggeligt og festligt sted, med egen pub og bryggeri, men lidt "outdatet"
