Novotel Edinburgh Park - Edinburgh

Really great location, would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Transport bus from airport stops right around the corner. Central to all of Edinburghs main attractions. We even had views of the Castle from the bathroom. Staff at the hotel were very warm and friendly especially Nicole, nothing was a problem. Would stay again.

We found the facilities in the Novotel to be a hidden gem. We arrived in the evening and my wife had a bath while I entertained the kids in the lovely pool in the basement. The accommodation was excellent. The choice of food at the breakfast buffet was vast and tasty. We were allowed to leave our car in the secure car park while we took the train into […] Waverley for a shopping trip. We chose this hotel initially because it was half the price of city centre hotels even though it had far more facilities on offer. The obvious drawback would be it's location, but as it's right next to Edinburgh Park railstation (a mere 2 stops from Waverly) this wasn't a problem at all. As for the hotel and the staff, it's fair to say that this has […] been the most comfortable and accomodating stay in a hotel in my experiance with the staff having no hesitation when it comes to helping out the customer be it arranging a later checkout or leaving your baggage in their care after booking out and the room itself having all the facilities and comforts required and then some. (The shower was peticuraly luxurious) All in all a great choice of hotel to make the most of your time in Edinburgh without paying through the nose for it. Devamı

Excellent well run hotel with excellent facilities and close to rail links, good sized car park and lovely family menu, would definately stay at this hotel again.

Location excellent 2nd train stop from Edinburgh Waverley. Trains seemed to be going through every 15 minutes. Station 200 yds down road. Excellent location off motorway no satnav required. Free and good parking. Retail park for anything you forgot across road, Coffee shop across other side of railway station. Rooms lovely and clean and large there […] were four of us in a family room. Breakfast was so good we did not need lunch and just ate in the hotel at night, food was very good. Swimming pool was a welcome relief after being on our feet all day walking. Easy to visit all the sights and was 1 stop from Rugby stadium as well. We found it very quiet considering all the trains and also the tram works going on, not a problem at all. I took my dog for a one night stay at the Edinburgh Park, a first for both of us. The staff were very helpful putting us in a room away from a function occuring at the hotel without me having to ask.

Staff welcoming and helpful. Strong smell from swimming pool in hotel foyer and restruant. Aware of railway and motorway traffic noise in room.

Only issue I had during my stay was actually getting to the hotel. The sat nav couldn't find the exact address and ended up a bit lost because of that. Once I got there, all was good. Nice hotel and decent room. Very close to edinburgh park train station which is handy for getting to the city centre. Also about 10 minutes drive from the zoo so you can […] go see the Pandas! Hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate and no places to eat without a short drive Swimming pool and sauna were very good but let down by having no towels available nor anyone to ask either - resulted in drip drying in the lift in your costume on way back to the room Breakfast was top quality with extensive range Would I use this hotel again? […] Yes because of it's online booking value Devamı

Hotel was very clean, and the cooked breakfast was excellent, the fruit and cereal was not the best. Location of the hotel was right next to Edin Park train station, and the location of the new tram stop (when it finally arrives!). The local area is basically an industrial park, so don't expect much in the way of local walks! However, 10mins on the […] train to Edin Waverley is great, although is about 20mins taxi back in the evening, which will cost you about £25 (which is ok). Devamı

Hotel close to Edinburgh Park and station so easy access to get into Edinburgh city. Enjoyed the restaurant meal also. Good value and would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel feels very new, staff were nice and hotel facilities great. The only downside is that it's located in a retail park about 15mins train journey outside Edinburgh, which is fine as train departs very regularly from right outside hotel, however if you're looking for atmosphere this might not be the ideal choice

Lovely hotel, great service close to good retail park but it was a shame to have all the roadwork going on around us.

Fantastic! My daughter and I arrived early..too early I thought to be checked in. Reception were superb, professional and checked us in within 4 minutes. Our room was clean. Staff tending the rooms were so polite and 'smiled'! Hotel amenities were great. The gym and pool were a big hit with my daughter and I. The train ran every 10 min to Edinburgh. […] The station was within sight from the hotel. Taxis proved a better option when travelling to the airport. We only had bar snacks and drinks which were well prepared and of a good standard. Will we return...? Yes....... The hotel may be a little further out of Edinburgh but, staff and amenities make up for that. Keep up the good work!!! Devamı

A little bit difdicult du find as there are 6 lanes on the motorway to choose from. GPS recommended. Tesco and train station close by. Polite staff. Breakfast was very good. Kids under 15 had breakfast free of charge. Nice pool. Ok bar. Will stay again at this hotel. And very good pricing too.

we asked for two family rooms together and we did not get it, they put us on different floors. the room we had was above the entertainment room and we could hear loud music into the early hours. why would they put a family above a christmas party? we are not happy with the stay at all. the pillows were like piece's of paper and the windows would not […] open. not good. Will definitely try to book here again on our next trip to Edinburgh. Only slight downside is surrounding neighbourhood (building sites close by?). Location was ideal, just 10 minutes from Edinburgh Zoo. Staff were excellent.

The hotel is situated about 4 minutes walk from the local train station, which is two stops from Edinburgh Waverley with frequent trains, so don't let the fact it's not central put you off! The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, although we were disappointed not to have a bath in our Family Room. Breakfast is plentiful, but we found the staff […] very slow to replace things that had run out, to the extent that we decide not to wait any longer for basic things such as sausages and croissants after they had not appeared for 25 minutes. The pool is nice if small, as is the gym, and although there is supposedly a corner of the gym set aside as a "Kids Play Area" there was actually only a couple of chairs, some books, and a game in an out of the way corner at the foot of the stairs. The rooms themselves are very comfortable, and the reception staff very helpful, so all in all a decent stay but it could have been so much better with just a little attention to detail in some areas. although realised booked wrong hotel on arriving at novotel centre, took taxi to novotel park to a friendly welcome from reception staff. Best sleep ever in a hotel room and great breakfast. Breakfast served sat and sunday till 12 and checkout 12 which meant could make breakfast into brunch, BRILLIANT.Train station on doorstep meant 10 minute trip into […] town at very low cost. Great value for money, easily accessible from city centre, short train ride n one min walk, trains every 10 mins. Pool gym etc an added bonus. Restaurant was good, service could of been a lot friendlier though. Overall a gd value hotel for a weekend away.

Great service and very nice hotel

My friend and I stayed here. It is not in the city centre but it is so extremely accessible with the train service, we actually preferred staying out of the hustle and bustle of things! There is a grocery store across the road so we had the opportunity to buy little groceries at extremely reasonable prices. We would stay here again!

Was initially surprised to see the hotel set around some construction work (the Edinburgh tram line project) but got to the idea - quite convenient as it's on the bypass road to the city, and has the convenience of a Tesco store, Staples store nearby within walking distance. It was a shame that the swimming pool was undergoing some repair work whilst […] I was there for the weekend - would have enjoyed the facilities very much. Really clean hotel room, and a very comfy bed which made a restful sleep easy. The facilities in the room were just right - had an iron and a board ready, as well as a safe. The bathroom was a bit mixed - great power shower which included a Monsoon shower as well as a tap, but felt it was a bit over the top with a battery powered remote control to turn on the shower and control the temperature - thought it was too gadgety and furthermore, a bit bothersome as the batteries ran out and had to call them to change it (a fiddly job as they required screwdrivers etc). It also took a while for me to gather how to use the remote control - I definitely think this is one item that they could remove from the bathroom. Otherwise, it was really clean and not cluttered, and as I said before, the water pressure was brilliant. Overall, I would stay here again as I felt it was quite convenient. Trips to the city is easy enough to take via the train, as the Edinburgh park station is only about 3-5 minutes walk away.. Devamı

The hotel was an easy trip into Edinburgh and seemed very slick when we first arrived. The bathroom was clean enough but it was obvious that the walls hadn't been wiped down and could have used it. The towel situation was odd. We only got bath sheet sized towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. I also had an issue with some damage to something belonging […] to my son that may have occurred from housekeeping. I called the front desk and was told that someone would come up to my room to take a look and no one ever did. I was not impressed with the guest service. Also, the smell of the cleaning products in the hallways in the mornings was overwhelming, not in a good way. There was no free wifi, even for a limited amount of time. Wedged between the motorway and the train line into Edinburgh don't expect peace and quiet. The rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable but my room was at the end of the corridor and only had a small side window, so felt like a student dormatry. I would have liked to have a bath in the bathroom, although can't fault the excellent shower. Two minutes […] walk to train station and then only 8 minutes into the centre. Tesco across the road opens at 6am so got breakfast there. Devamı

Hotel was very clean and smart, although the reception had a very strong smell of chlorine from the pool below. The rooms were the standard Novotel ones, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and could be doing with being replaced. The food was very good. This Novotel is a recent addition to an area under development on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The hotel is very convenient to the Edinburgh Park train station, though with the construction the 300 foot walk with luggage is a bit treacherous. The nearby Tesco supermarket is good if you don't want to pay the standardly steep prices for hotel fare, but […] getting to the Tesco on foot requires another treacherous short trip. Bedroom allocated on arrival was affected by outside noise from Hotels generator/compressor. Fire door in corridor hanging off top hinge which made a loud bang everytime it was openned/ closed. After making a fuss we were allocated another room but found this to be noisier than the first due to motorway traffic. The cost of breakfast was expensive.

The hotel was very new and quite comfortable. reasonably priced and very close to the airport. I would recommend the hotel if needing to stay near the airport.

This is a modern hotel with big modern rooms and all the facilities you'd expect. Yes, it's a train ride to the centre but that's why you pay less and park for free. Area is pretty soulless but that's not why you're here. Housekeeping needs a bit of a wake up ( net curtain dirty, milk for coffee not topped up) - general feel of not being on the ball […] there. We spent a night in this hotel. Actually we were very pleased about everything including pleasant staff. My daughter enjoyed the swimming pool very much. Heating in the room didnt reach our expectations.If rooms can be provided with a microwave that would be so appreciated. It is a beautiful hotel, new and clean. However the location is horrible: near a motorway and far from the center of edinburgh. It was good for us as we had an appointment in a building nearby but I do not recommend it for tourism.

The hotel was very nice,the pool and steam room helped after long walks around Edinburgh.Its 5min walk to the train station and10 min on the train.You are then in the center.Taxi to the center was £13. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection.We had a look at the evening menu and it was the same as the room service menu and decided to eat out.

Not particularly easy to find on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Very good access to rail station for the short trip into town (cost about £3 return). Pleasant very contempirary designed hotel with good leisure facilities in the basement. Free car parking . Restaurant quite nice but overpriced. I wouldnt recomend this hotel or stay there again as it was the noisiest hotel i have ever stayed in, we stayed there on a saterday night and you would think it would be quieter on a sunday but it was noisy from 6am in the morning. didnt enjoy our stay at all.

Great hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, restaurant quite expensive for selection of food and food was not that great. great hotel for kids nice swimming pool and gym facilities.
