The motel does not provide a free shuttle service to the terminals. Instead they drop you at the parking lot. Pay slightly more and look for better options.

Don't go outside during the night, me and my wife was terrifying about the events outside. There was always a lot of police in the building front of the hotel. And for more information, go to see about Irvington city on google. You'll understand

Great location and excellent value for money. Neighborhood not the best but hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Large Room - windows were very dirty which affects the whole experience of the stay. Bathroom excellent.

The hotel was acceptable, from the outside. But the fact that it boast, its' proximity to Newark Airport is not accurate at all. They need to rename it America's Best Value Inn- Irvington, because that is where it is in New Jersey. The room was bigger than I expected, but I did not received what I asked for.The tub was stopped up. The bed was very comfortable, […] but the floors are thin and I heard every step of the people that were above me. Ok. Now keep in mind that I'm a white female from the California suburbs who was itching for an East Coast adventure with my equally white suburbian itchy 23 yr old daughter. We arrived at the hotel at the same time as an ambulance and five police cars. The officers told us to please wait in our car while they deal with the 'situation.' In this case […] the 'situation' was just an attempted suicide, so we were given the clear to get out of the car. The police were warm & friendly to us outoftowners & very concerned for our wellbeing. They strongly encouraged us to stay at another hotel in a better neighborhood. They posed for pictures with us, which I promptly posted on facebook and then went to check in. No WAY were we goin somewhere else!! Once inside we immediately noted the bulletproof glass window between us and the middle eastern hotel clerks checking us in. Then we were off to our room. Now here's the confusing part... The room was one of the BIGGEST rooms with the most amenities I can remember having. We got a LOT for our money. We got two full size pillow top beds, cable, WiFi, coffeemaker, fridgerator, vanity table/mirror/chair, coffee table, couch and probably the BEST continental breakfast buffet I've ever experienced - complete with a WAFFLE MAKER! The next morning we walked around the corner to the bus stop where we hopped a bus to Penn Station and then a subway to Manhattan. 12 hours later at 10:00 at night, we returned the same way. Being unfamiliar with the area, we got a little turned around on which street our hotel was on. But a very friendly (and talkative) toothless homeless man on the street corner gave us directions and advice. He pointed out our street, then told us to walk under the street lights, keep our eyes open, watch our back, make a Wolverine fist with our keys (demo included) & DON'T TALK TO ANYBODY! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. People was walking around and the service was awful. They cheated me and I will never stay here again.

The bath tub was clogged - was taking about a quarter of an hour to drain. This we discovered when we wanted to get ready to leave. With a busy and pre-planned schedule ahead of us, this clogging was upsetting our plans. Front desk told us he did not know where the house keeper was and would send someone in a half hour. it takes about 10 minutes to go to airpot by the shuttle. As far as you need, the shuttle would be on its way.

This hotel is in the heart of the city of Irvington. If you are scared of city people, then you will stay in the comfort of your room during your stay. Luckily, that's easy to do with the comfortable bed, the Wi-Fi, and the many TV channels. On the other hand, if you like the inner city atmosphere, then you are going to feel at home.

This is a very inexpensive hotel. It has an easy link back to Manhattan. It's not luxurious by any standard.

We stayed here one night on the way to NYC and in the morning as we were packing we found a fully engorged (filled with blood) bedbug on one of the beds on the pillow. We immediately captured the insect, told the hotel desk and staff and showed them the insect, packed (keeping our things we had used in bed in a separate sealed plastic bag until we could […] get them cleaned and checked for bedbugs), and left. Hotel staff were nonresponsive to our complaint and appeared as if they did not know what bedbugs were. They shrugged shoulders when we showed them the specimen. Totally no concern whatsoever!!! Showed one of the cleaning staff and got same response. We've now had to buy new things for use in NYC and have all items carefully cleaned and checked upon our return home to be s ure we do not infect our own house. I am an entomologist (for 25+ years) and am 100% certain this was a bedbug! People who know about bedbugs will tell you that if you find one its an indication many more are hiding!!! Local residential area largely high density small apartments making safety a concern. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!! Devamı

It is cheap for overnight stay. The room is clean and spacious. They provide free airport shuttle. I don't need to worry how to go to the hotel at night. They have complimentary breakfast in the lobby. I would recommend this hotel if you arrive late in the night.

Don't stay here.... U won't want to leave at night n walk surrounding neighborhood. They mite have a van to pick u up but not near airport at all. Jetted tub was dirty and had to be cleaned before being used. Bathroom was clean. Room was big and clean but bed was the worst hotel bed I've ever slept on!! Bed was worn down and wherever you lay you rolled to the middle! Air conditioner didn't work that well. Our room was close to the front desk and hotel employees were very noisy! Located in a very bad neighborhood in Livingston, New Jersey, this hotel featured an attendant sitting behind bullet-proof glass in the lobby and prostitutes going in and out, apparently using the hotel as a place of business. Under no circumstances would I stay there again.

This hotel was in the middle of the worst neighbourhood I have ever seen. Police were at the hotel all night arresting people and the hotel even advised us to not walk anywhere as it is not safe. Please do yourself a favor and stay clear of it!

I stayed here because it's listed as being 3.5 miles from the airport and I just needed a bed for the night so I didn't see the need for a nicer place. Driving, it's more like 5 miles from the airport and it makes a big difference. I was expecting a boring area with a lot of hotels and not much else. There are no hotels near it. Advertised as close to the airport which I needed for 6am flight following day - only one van and long P4 (parking at EWR) wait for myself and another couple. Airport is not that close (could be 15-30 mins. in traffic and slow shuttle). Arrived late (10pm) and room ok - but moldy bathroom sink and not a great neighborhood. Decided to walk 2 blocks […] as noted a pizza place and Kennedy Fried Chicken from the van - as I was passing lobby the couple that arrived with me was telling the front desk (behind a glass walled safety partition) that they would not be staying (wife refused given the looks of the place and too far to risk missing a.m. flight). Would not recommend venturing from hotel but I'm a big guy and pretty cautious (from NYC) - if not aware of Kennedy F.C.; it's an imitation of real KFC in the "hood" and usually only heard about on the NY/NJ evening news following a shooting or violence late at night. I walked to a nearby gas/food mart and selection was, shall we say. limited. Noise level in hall pretty high but not from "hourly" rentals - it's clearly a budget choice for early flights and those (like me) uncertain just how far a trek it is to the airport. Pros - free shuttle; clean (sheets & shower); and about 15 mins. if you catch the shuttle just right. Stay at your own risk - when there are few comparable alternatives. Devamı

The hotel service was great and affordable when you purchase here on this site on hotels.com. I paid $78 dollars with tax included for a deluxe Room which had a king size bed, couch, T.V. working bathroom with lots of towels, a HEART SHAPED Jacuzzi, & Very Spacious Room with walk in closet. Check in was great and has a key card access to enter the hotel […] and Access to the Room. The negative about the place is the Free internet access. The internet WiFi was picking up but not working and If you call the front Desk for a Live External Ethernet Wire which is a $5 dollar deposit still was a very slow internet service. Better off If you are a business person in need for internet service to use other service like a cellphone or Mobile Broadband Service. But after all it is a Great place for a nice romantic time with a loved one and just relax. If you also in and don't want to leave the hotel there is lots of places to call for food delivery like (Papa John's, Local Pizza, Local Chinese, or Local Gourmet Food) I Would recommend this to anyone who would just want a weekend getaway for a short term. BTW FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST FROM 6am to 9am. Worth the Money you Get! Devamı

A very economical solution to the problem of an early am departure and a late night return. I got two nights stay do what could have been lT parking alone.

The location does not matter, since they provide good shuttle service. The room is much cleaner than I have expected. RECOMMEND!!

The morning of my check out I went to have coffee and some OJ and a bagel and was going to eat in my room watching TV but an employee at the front desk told me that I could not take food in the room, I have seen other guests took food to their room. If it's not allowed to take food to a room, why do they have a refrigerator in the rooms. When I asked […] him since when guests can't food in their room? He stated 6 months ago. After exchangind a few words he opened the door and let me go to my room with my stuff. But why did I have to argue with him? Why he didn't stop every guest. I understand it wasn't a fancy/expensive hotel, you get what you paid for but treat me with respect because I wasn't staying there for free. Pros: free shuttle from Newark airport, break fast is ok ish, cheap, if you wanna see real America/NJ, staffs were nice CONS: not very clean and our room smelled but it wasn't horrible, Breakfast wasn't nice, heating Didn't work, So for the price was ok but if u can afford it stay somewhere else.

The Courtesy Service Transportation was EXCELENT. The food (breakfast) was good too. I will stay in that hotel again.

I had read some bad reviews on this hotel before I booked it but decided to go ahead anyway and take the chance. I wanted somewhere cheap and close to the airport as I was only going to be there for approx 10 hours in total while in transit to another destination. Basically its not as bad as a lot of the other reviewers make it out to be. Sure its not […] the classiest or most stylish, or even in the best neighborhood but what do you expect for this price?? I had a King size room which was wonderfully large, the sheets and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were pleasant enough, and the shuttle bus came as soon as I rang for it, even at 1.30 am. I felt quite safe as a single female travelling alone in the middle of the night, despite rumours of awful neighbourhood and bullet proof glass. (True there was glass at reception desk but who knows if bullet proof?) There were a few kinda shady looking characters around I admit but they weren't intimidating. Breakfast was in my opinion quite basic and I was a bit disappointed as some reviews had said it was really good. There was a waffle maker though which redeemed it a bit. Overall I was satisfied with my experience and would recommend this place for an over night stay. Its not the place for a honeymoon or a nice family holiday but surely that is fairly obvious. Those reviewers who seemed a bit freaked out by it and the surrounds can't be people who have ever done much travelling, or only in luxury places. Go on take the risk - I didn't regret it! Devamı

Neighborhood was kind of in the ghetto. Was comforting that in order to get into the rooms area, you had to use the key. Very close to the highways though so convenient for travel. Hotel halls smelled absolutely horrible. Elevator was old and sounded like it could break at any moment. Carpet in room was filthy. Heater had a strange smell when first […] turned on. Maintenance was fast to come when called about the toilet leaking - although he did leave without saying what the problem was. And he left dirty shoe prints on the floor. If you are comfortable staying in a hotel directly across from "the projects", then by all means - stay here! My husband and I sat in the parking lot talking to Hotels.com to find us a different room. While sitting there, there was a group of people who began to congregate across the street - and they had their eyes on us the entire time! VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! […] We left the parking lot and drove around until Hotels.com booked us elsewhere. I was happy that this review can up. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life. When I booked the hotel based on the picture that I saw I thought it was one of the best unknowing that it was the worst. From the moment you enter through the front dest to the your room everywhere smells and stinks. Based on my experience the facility is lack […] of management. Extended guests were all over the hall way both day and night smoking. It came to a point the morning of the 11th of November I had to go over to my friends hotel @ Holiday Inn in order to spend both Friday and Saturday with her. Why? Because I couldn't stand the awful experience any longer. If not for the fact that I had paid in advance I should have checked out immediately. I will advise the entire chain to probably close the facility for remodelling or at least for a face liftup. As I'm writing I am obset for the money that I spent if something could be done for any future occurence I wil appreciate it, and also I will need a reply of this letter. Thanks you very much. Very noisy, I couldn't sleep at all. Staff are nice.

Located in a very bad part of town, don't be fooled by the modernity of the hotel. It is more like a motel with prostitutes in and out. Not a place I would want to bring my kids.

First, this hotel was NOT near the newark airport as advertized. It had bed bugs, it was discusting and I recommend you drop it from Hotel.com as it is a disgrace.

I had awoken to bug bites on my arm. Praying they are not bed bugs. Room smelled like mildew. Projects across street. Drug deal happening in middle of road. Very scary place. Think again if you want a place to stay. This is not a very nice place to be.

If you are taking a "hooker" to a hotel, this is the place to stay. This is not for your family. there are porn channells on the tv with no warning at all. "ladies of the night" all over the hotel. Will NEVER stay here unless I intend on cheating on my wife.
