The Mansion at Ocean Edge - Brewster

WE stayed in a villa. It was very nice although it was across street from the beach. Very Clean. Very Quiet. Nice place to spend a couple of easy days/nights.

Great stay, very accommodating in the end. Had a runny toilet in the first suit ( Britteridge Villages) and asked to be moved close to ProShop, pool and restaurant (wouldn't recommend Britteridge, far away and looked older/run down) Had to call front desk to complain bathroom wasn't cleaned properly (few strands in the tub) and they offered a late checkout […] (3p) and beach passes (which you don't automatically get as a guest of the resort - only when you stay at the mansion, which is stupid because it's a huge beach with plentyyyy of room) Devamı

Our room was clean and in the west wing of the mansion. It had easy access to the fitness room and indoor pool and main lobby/bar/restaurants. The beach access, golf courts, and outside pool were just down the hill, steps away. We were there for a wedding so didn't have too much time to explore the surrounding towns, but the main towns were at least […] a 15-minute drive away. There are some cute restaurants on Main Street near the hotel, less than 5 minutes. Our only complaint was the A/C in the room. It never got "cool" but was always blowing and really just kept the room wet and everytime we walked into the room it was a wet/mold smell. 1) Although the rooms at the village and the mansion are priced same (at least they were when I bought it), you cannot access the hotel beach if you are in the village/cottage/townhouse complex. In fact it is across the highway, and the staff do everything to ensure separation of the two - including separate checkin 2) The first person I interacted […] with at the front desk was extremely rude. Upon asking her why the beach is not accessible to the village residents, she goes - well you should have read the hotel website for details. Heck I don't do that if I am booking from hotels.com. 3) The walls of the room are very thin so its hard to get a good nights sleep even if your neighbors are speaking at an ordinary voice level. Overall, I would recommend not staying here. For this kind of money you can find a better place on the cape. Devamı

We loved our stay at the Ocean Edge Resort. We were there two nights/3days. Loved the access to the beautiful private beach with chairs and umbrellas available to the guests. We loved the outdoor terrace where we sat for drinks and watched the gorgeous sunset. The room was very nice, a bit dark, but that did not bother us! Everything was great just recognize that the Villas are seperate from the mansion and actual onsite property and not everything is included when you stay at the Villas from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Other than that it was outstanding!

We were in Brewster/Cape Cod for 4 nights end of May 2013 and we had a wonderful time (it was part of our 2 weeks honeymoon). We had a one room Villa and must say that everything met our expectations in a very comfortable way (apartment, food, resort, beach, swimming pool, price...). We loved our stay at ocean edge. It had a central location to all the cities on the cape. The grounds were gorgeous. Main street was cute with little boutiques every where. Our fav restaurant was chillingsworth for dinner and Brewster coffee shop for breakfast. Everything is good . Customer service is friendly , but they could have been more informative about their offers and attractions near by. They even didn't offer any upgrades , they don't look like they care about why are you there. They can suggest based on the event customers are visiting. For example, if a family arrives their on a marriage day , […] they could offer next available upgrade for free or some fee etc... Almost all rooms/ are free. We went off season . We had a great time. Husbands 47'th birthday. Took full advantage of amenities, like pool, tennis, and the lovely beach. Positives, nice helpful staff, particularly Kandy in the tennis shop. Downside, if you stay in the village the feel isn't quite "Cape Cod". Also, you don't have "formal" access to the beach. DInner at the Tavern was very good with […] a cozy ambiance. Our hotel room had recently been updated. I was disappointed my room faced the parking lot, but we loved the tennis courts and its location by the beach. The prices weren't bad for off season.

Great property and facilities. Beautiful and relaxing views. The resort will continue to improve with all the terrace renovations. The private access to the beach was convenient and the beach itself was clean and very peaceful. Rooms were clean and contemporary and the staff were more than willing to help.

The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, the rooms were beautifully decorated. Very clean, the location is to die for. I stayed in the west wing at the mansion for a special discount rate in March 2013. Well worth the trip.

Wonderful Stay! Except I starved for 2 days because I was not prepared with my food allergies to not have a nearby store to purchase foods I can eat. The General store they advertise on their website is about 2 miles away and there is no taxi service to the remote location. The one and only cab provider refuses to pick up at that resort for their personal […] reasons. If you have food allergies, there is only one restaurant & no vending machines so bring your own or have your own transportation. The location is remote and car & taxi service is obsolete. Devamı

We stayed in the Villages, which was perfect and rather large. My only complaint is our mobile phones couldn't get reliable service so I had to use a hotel phone. A 1-minute local call to order pizza cost us $4, and a town next over cost me $6.50. Pretty ridiculous. Other than that will definitely come again. The room was nice but some of the pictures on the website were misleading. The front desk people were very friendly and informative. I don't think the staff at the pool was necessary since kids were accompanied by parents.

Our room was very nice and we were happy with the room itself. We were between two very noisy families. The children were banging, running, yelling, and generally making noise until they went to bed around 10:00 P.M. Then it started up again around 6:30 A.M. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable.

Our room was next to the hotel wash room , we could hear machine early am but not horrible noise. Otherwise staff outgoing friendly shared the interesting history of hotel and area. We stayed in a one bedroom villa in The Villages area of the resort, located across the street and up the road from the main facility. The villa provided plenty of room and had a queen size pull out sofa bed in the living room area. It had a small kitchen fully equipped with dishes, silverware, coffee pot & coffee, microwave oven, stovetop (no conventional […] oven), dishwasher, full size refrigerator, and even a stackable washer/dryer. There was a small private balcony overlooking a wooded area and pond at the back of the villa. The only negative comments I can offer are that the mattress was extremely firm (bring your memory foam or eggcrate topper from home) and there was a large gap between the end of the mattress and the headboard/wall so that if you're very tall your pillow constantly gets sucked into this void unless you sleep with your feet dangling over the end of the bed. (An extra blanket or two shoved into the void may solve this problem, so request those at check-in.) The other negative is really no fault of the resort but rather the lack of consideration of other guests...apparently some wedding reception attendees (sounded like 20 - 30 people) were in the unit directly below us and decided to continue their partying until 2 am, and unfortunately the soundproofing wasn't sufficient to block the noise. (Turning the air conditioner fan on helped a bit...) All things considered, it was a great value for the cost, and we will definately stay here again. Devamı

We were disappointed with Ocean Edge! We thought that we were going to be located at the Mansion but instead were placed down the road at the Villas. We understand that it is off season but the rooms were musty and very inconvenient! Our friends who we were traveling with had to move there location twice, once because of being located in a lower room […] that was way to musty and damp to stay, and the second had no water( had to move at 1am to another location. We had a great stay at the Village at Ocean Edge last weekend. We were nervous based on some negative reviews found here. The condo was in great shape and very well equipped. The facilities were great. The resort fee of $20 that many people complained about was mentioned when I booked. Resort Fees are common in New England you pay them whether you use […] the facilities or not. Stayed for 2 nights in October 2012 over Columbus Day weekend. Pros: comfortable beds, location near bike trails, beautiful grounds with nice beach for walking. Cons: weddings both nights on grounds. Heard yelling for half an hour by people in hallway at 1:30 am one night. Several guests called front desk, then police came. Breakfast costs $22 per person […] at hotel (1/2 or 1/3 that cost at nearby restaurants). Hotel charges $20 per night resort fee regardless of whether facilites such as pools, tennis courts, beach, etc. are used. This resort fee should just be included in room price.
