very satisfied. Two pool areas, one for party group and one for family. We will be going back and taking our large family.

The quality of staff service was exceptional - all so friendly and accommodating. Such fun activities by the pool, so would be great for either a family or friends there to party. This has been the best all inclusive resort yet. The food was great and we appreciate the nightly entertainment. Could have a free shuttle to the city. But overall it was great!!

The place was great, but some of the other guests were loud, disrespectful and kind of trashy. Also, their dinner reservation system is horrible making us choose between eating at 6:30pm (too early) or 9pm (which was alright, but not ideal).

I had a jacuzzi suite which was expensive. After getting to my room I found out the jacuzzi did not work. To make a long story short, I ended up calling 7 times to have it fixed the first day and even made a trip to front deck(huge hotel..I mean HUGE) but no one came. I started early the second day and someone came to fix it.(only there 3 nights) The […] mini bar was empty and I never could get anyone to fill it. You just get worn out asking for anything. Beautiful Hotel, felt safe, short cab ride from downtown, food was not great but good and plentiful (to be expected when having to feed several hundred guest all day every day) I compare it to cruise food. Spectacular & breathtaking views; where the desert meets the ocean. Staff was wonderful, and the whole operation is well organized. Guest rooms are spacious & very clean with well stocked free liquor, water and soft drinks. The unlimited food and drinks were worth the price. RIU Chefs in their five restaurants were cooking all day using only fresh, […] quality ingredients and there were so many choices. Plan on gaining 5 lbs. during your week's stay. Beach good - there is a long stretch to walk to other happening hotels if you like to explore , and two beautiful pools to enjoy. Activities and entertainment were always available and fun. Standard resort, extremely clean and well kept. Food pretty decent. Drinks fine. No hot tubs but pools well kept and fine.

The best thing about this hotel is the beautiful location, proximity to Cabo San Lucas, and the gorgeous pools. The food was good, nothing to rave about, but not bad either. Seems like this manufacturer is the standard for Mexican resorts. There are no shoulder excercise machines or a set of dumbells!! Cardio stuff consists of treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals. Hotel facilities and service are great...but far from the airport, town and shopping centers!

Hotel was nice, staff was great, food was good relative to all inclusive resorts. If you want to party, stay at the Riu Santa Fe. If you want to relax in a more relaxing atmosphere, stay next door at the Riu Palace. Rui Palace is older than the Riu Santa Fe (so we were told); however, you have access to both the Santa Fe and of course the Palace. Both […] hotels are laid out the same in terms of the pools. Water is a lot colder at Sante Fe. No hot tubs at either place, minus the private spa 'by appointment only" - but free. We were happy to be 'upgraded to the Riu Palace' due to the Sante Fe selling out of their ocean-veiw rooms". We laid by the 'quiet pool" at the Palace with other couples and famileis. When we went over to explore the Santa Fe, we found a party scene - looked fun but more of a 'spring break' atmosphere than what we were looking for. Grounds and beach access were perfect. beach next to hotel is roped off so the vendors couldnt solicitate you. This was our 4th trip to Cabo in the past two years and decided to try all inclusive. We paid double the price to reserve a "full ocean view" room. We were given the run around once we arrived advising us they were sold out but somehow after 3 different rooms, they put us in the back of the hotel with no ocean view of any kind. The music starts at the pool early and does not stop till dinner. The disco starts at 10 or 11 and does not stop till 2 am. We had to switch to a room facing away from the pool for some peace and quiet.

It was nice for a hotel, but try your luck if it is a sunny day... otherwise you don't have much to do. AND, be sure to make rsvp for dinner really early in the morning! There have very few seats per night, and they can only be booked in the same day in person from 7am...

This is our second stay at the Santa Fe. Absolutely love it! It is beautiful, the service is great, and you are treated like royalty. The only drawback on this trip was the younger drinking crowd that were out of hands some nights. Would definately go back though and recommend to others!

A lively athmosphere! Especially compared to the more expensive Riu Palace right next door. Wonderful people working there. Great food and free drinks. Unexpectedly fun entertainment. Clean and well groomed facilities.

This Hotel was very clean. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel should offer rides to and from your room and around the resort. I suggest they invest in a few golf carts. Another thing the guess had a problem with was the hotel doesn't like to send a cart to help you carry your bags to the front desk at check out. I've traveled the world and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When we arrived at their entrance it looked as if we were in a third world country. The van was stopped by a dirty looking security officer who demanded we roll down the window. He then asked what we wanted. I explained to ion that we had Resverations to stay in the hotel and he […] then demanded that we give him our drivers license or passport and once we checked in that he would send them up to the hotel. The whole time this is going on he was looking inside the taxi for who knows what like we were smuggling something into a prison compound. We refused and told him to call the front desk to confirm our Resverations Once inside the hotel reception at front desk wasnt any better. First room they put us in had mold and we couldn't breath in it. Second room looked out over dirt. When I demanded another room they gave me a hard time even though id paid for an ocean view room. Then they called me back and said okay we've found you a better location but you'll have to come and get the key. I demanded that they send someone with the key and to move our bags. They finally sent someone and after 2 hours from our arrival we arrived at our new room. The phone in the room didn't work, the mini bar wasn't stocked and the patio door to the balcony didn't have a lock but had a screw in it to turn if you wanted to secure the door. We unpacked and went looking for something to eat at their 5 advertised restaurant s and none were open except for their sports bar. We went inside and found a Hugh tiled room with one tv over a bar and a stand up free vending machine like refrigerator with sandwiches in it. We walked out and opted to wait for the other establishment s to open. We had a drink at one of their bars and was okay but all liquiors served were low quality that you would not purchase from a liquior store. The hotel was very good for such a well priced all-inclusive. They really got the core elements perfect, good room, great food and beautiful location. However, we were here in the low season and the hotel wasn't nearly full. It seemed to be a very large resort and I'm sure in the high season the quality might not be as high. The is a great all-inclusive hotel. We just got back and had a blast. Extremely big so be be prepared for alot of walking. Close to downtown. Amazing pools!

BEAUTIFUL. This place was fantastic. The resturaunts were excellent and the staff was falling over themselves to get us whatever we wanted or needed. There are alot o stairs involved though so be prepared. LOVED IT AND WILL GO BACK!!!

The food was too salty and the wine--not suitable for drinking.

My girlfriend and I loved it. The food and drinks were great. We had a lot of fun in the pool with the swim up bar. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I have nothing negative to say about our stay.

do not make mistake to go there and try to get transportation is much much cheaper to by it from u.s.a. either from the hotel or from the web when you go there you are 'tourist' and they tell you what ever they want to

Nice hotel, could be amazing if they upgraded the food and drinks, offered room service, wi-fi in your room, had cable, ppv movies, any drinkable wine, comfortable beds and overall better service. employees in general were NOT very nice.... we did not even stayed for a night we cancellled and left .... they do not try to make u feel comfortable personally bad experince with the couple hours we were there.... NOT GOOD

The Riu Santa Fe was everything I hoped it would be. Great all inclusive!

Nice place to go, lots of swimming pools, bars and restaurants.. Bartender were good, good drinks try the mojitos… The only bad thing and it’s out of the hotels control, was the mosquito’s they were in your hotel door just waiting to get in, I had to buy spray to help clear the door before I got in. We were there for 9 days, we had a blast. Our children enjoyed every single day. After reading some of the reviews we were not sure about this place but we wanted to take the risk and it was worth it. never had hard time getting chairs by the pool, or not been able to make reserv. for dinner. Great place very friendly and accommodating. Excellent place to chill out and relax. Food was great always plenty of it. The only downfall was getting the laundry done which was $130US for two bags. The staff are extremely friendly and the cab fare into the local town for nightlife was $12US. I felt safe all the time and overall great time was had.

What a great hotel..the place is huge..you never have to leave..the food was gourmet...going back again..

The resort is huge! Like a small town. This means you never feel crowded but it also means long walks to get places and there are a lot of people and personalities to deal with. I would recommend a smaller resort to people who just want to relax and be pampered. My wife and I spent five days at the RIU Santa Fe (an all-inclusive property) and absolutely loved it. Their entire staff is truly amazing and friendly. I found the RIU to be very customer-service-oriented -- everyone really cares about their guests. But I was very surprised and disappointed that they do not have internet service in the rooms despite what they promote on their page. I read reviews before I went and saw lots of people saying the food was bad quality, well they were all right, pretty bad and I'm not a fussy person...also if you want to book a restaurant instead of the buffet you have to wake up at 7am and walk to the lobby. The drinks are watered down and every pool had blaring music all day so nowhere to relax..don't […] get me wrong I like to party but the next day with a hangover a quiet pool to relax at would be nice... Excellent grounds, pools and rooms. Location is good. Easy access to bus or cabs. Really scenic beach. Food is above average. Individual restaurants are very nice with friendly service and tasty food. A really easy way to make eating out quick. Not cheap, but worth it.

Read all the reviews (tripadvisor mostly). Nothing that anyone expressed seemed to be true or bothered me whatsoever. Yes, its noisy, but I had a great time there. If youre looking for quiet, nothing in downtown seems applicable. Loved the all-inclusive. Loved the entertainment.

Easy to get to from the airport. Only a short cab ride from down town. Beautiful views. However... can't swim in the water due to huge waves and strong undercurrent.
