TownePlace Suites by Marriott - Des Moines Urbandale - Johnston

We loved it. Traveling with a 41/2 month old having a mini full kitchen in the room helped so much. The place was clean, workers very nice room very clean and roomie.

Wierd tiny square pillows look stylish;but are uncomfortable to sleep on. One of the WORST breakfasts ever! The dining room isn't cozy at all--It reminded me of a miniture High School cafeteria. I took took my crummy food upstairs to avoid the crowd. Horrible in-room coffee; but there is a Starbucks across the street. No restaurant in the hotel. Normally […] I stay at Hilton Garden across the way---for a few dollars more you get a great hot breakfast. However, if you feel like cooking the Marriot has a cute little kitchenette. This was a great place to stay and I truly appreciate the fact that the staff respected my Do Not Disturb sign on the door. I was there for several nights and my complaints were only two: 1. the television (sat or cable?) seemed to be constantly messed up and there was no ESPN channel to watch Thursday Night Football and 2. the other guests all seemed […] to be smokers who were determined to light up in the hallways, inside the entry doors to the building and stand right by my car puffing their foul smoke in my direction as I was trying to pack my car to leave. The hotel was very nice, but the cable was not working well when we were there. I was told they were working on it, otherwise I recommend the hotel as it was clean and great to have a table and kitchen in the room. I would stay there again.

We were very pleased the first time we stayed, so booked again and were not disappointed. It is clean, well maintained and even though it seems close to the interstate the room was quiet and comfortable.

The room was fine, except that the foldout had a very thin and uncomfortable mattress. The pool had way too much Chlorine resulting in burning and itching eyes as well as burning and itching arms and legs. The grandson ended up with a rash. That was very disappointing for us as the pool was one of the reasons we stayed at the TownPlace. Desk clerk claimedm […] the pool was checked once a week. This hotel was wonderful!!! The location was perfect as well as the price. The room was very clean and fairly spacious! Aside from having to listen to the kids running around in the room above us til about 1am, it was probably one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff was super friendly. The complimentary breakfast had such an assortment it […] was unbelievable. Our daughter had a hard time deciding what she wanted. Very nutrious too! We will definitely stay here again!!! we stayed five days and had an overall great time. But we did have some trouble getting our room cleaned one day, but the management was apologetic and gave us coupons to make up for it.

I loved how the interior of the hotel looked when i walked in. Very modern. When I got to the room it was better than I thought it was going to be. For such a cheap price you got something that would cost alot more. Even though I just stayed for one night it would of been great for a week stay as well.

wonderful hotel, hotel room and service. the room was VERY clean and very up to date interms of tv, bed, etc. the ONLY negative is that your aways away from any BIG city and the only thing around the hotel are returants and grocery stores. other than that, 99.9% perfect. i highly recommend it. We loved staying at this hotel! It is almost brand new and very clean! It is extremely convenient as every room has a small kitchen and a lot of closet space. The bed was also very comfortable! Everything is very modern and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We were in town with our grown children, so we had 3 suites. We were all thrilled that the dog could come along and be a part of the weekend. Everything was beyond what we expected.

Extremely clean, interesting decor. We liked having the kitchen in our room. Outlet for the computer was at a good level and the wireless really was fast. We would have liked to have windows that opened just a bit for sleeping. The room smelled good, no freshener, no ancient stink. We were very happy.

We did get our room at a discount and i now know why. The room slanted toward the center of the hotel and we overlooked an airconditioning unit. The hotel was very clean and the room had nice ammenities. Steer clear of the warm yogurt and juice at breakfast...burger king is right across the street.

The hotel was in a good spot with lots of local places if we needed anything. Room was clean and offered anything we could need. Hotel was very clean. The hotel was much better than sleeping on the floor of a hostel or on the street.

We checked into this hotel at 8 pm, completely exhausted with 2 young children. I asked about how late the pool was open, and the clerk informed us the pool was broken. We were then sent to the hotel next door. We checked in there and their pool was working. When my husband called just one hour earlier to make the reservation, he asked if they had a […] pool. This hotel was very nice and we would have perhaps stayed another night, but when it said they take pets and small fee we did NOT expect it to be $100 per pet. Colors were a bit strange, but the comfort, facilities and stocking of supplies was very good.

pool was packed with families and kids. ceiling in pool looked like it was ready to come down. but rooms were nice and clean

Nice room for the money. The room was very big which was nice. Everything was modern and clean. Their wasn't a lot of variety at the breakfast, but the lobby was nice.

Many extended stay hotels are old, run down and smell funny. This being newer is very clean and modern decor make you feel like you're at home. The room was very spacious and there was everything there that we needed. The front desk clerk that checked us in was very friendly.

Awesome motel, we wanted to stay another night -UNTIL we got to the room and saw they charge a $100.00 fee for a pet. That IS correct -one hundred dollars. We had our well trained well behaved crated dog with us and have NEVER been required to pay more than $25 (usually $10). Needless to saay, we left without staying another night! It is a very nice […] place, BUT NOT for animal lovers that are without limitless funds! This fee should be kisted when it states they take pets --who would have guessed it to be sooooo much!
