Newly renovated hotel, conveniently located 5min from Ernest Reuter platz u line station , and also savygnyplatz s line station. Nice shops n restaurants nearby. Excellent shower n nice touch with free pm refreshments. Small room with narrowest bed ever!

Selected hotel based on review on Hotels.Com. We wanted a hotel reasonably close to Schiller Theater where Wagner's Ring was being presented in early April. Hotel was approximately 3 blocks from Theater, an easy walk. Good transportation nearby, a number of good restaurants within 2 blocks. We stayed in a room with kitchen facilities. Very comfortable, […] good staff and extremely helpful and pleasant staff. 7th floor lounge is open from 2 to 9 pm with complimentary coffee, tea, snacks, etc. Because of configuration of building, elevator stops at landings between floors meaning you have to walk up or down a short flight of stairs. Really don't understand why this place is so well reviewed. It's OK, but is NOT a 4 star hotel - basically a 3 star, no amenity hotel with marginally better interior design than some other 3 star hotels. The rooms and bathrooms are fine in an IKEA kind of way- they look OK but some of the fixtures and fittings are not particularly high quality. The […] construction quality is not great as there was a LOT Of noise coming into the room from outside in the corridor- did not help being on the ground floor next to reception. Also the "free" internet does not work in any meaningful way- extremely slow and too weak to be picked up by the ipad. I had to pay for the Tmobile hotspot because it was the only way to actually do some work in a reasonable amount of time. There is no restaurant or bar, and no staff anywhere after 11pm. All of these things would not have been an issue if my expectations were not raised by the reviews on this site! Devamı

This is my second time at this splendid hotel. Very good transport links to all Berlin. The staff are friendly and the rooms are extremely comfortable and very quiet. It has everything that I hope for in a hotel.

We stayed here for business. The room was a decent size. Not massive but definitely big enough for our needs. Our twin room had two single beds. They were quite small but very comfortable with lovely down pillows and duvets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free water was much appreciated. Free wifi was a plus but the signal was not great […] in our ground floor room. Appreciated the free tea and cakes every day - the selection of teas is amazing! The staff was excellent. They were helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. The free buffet (coffee, tea, juices, assorted pastries, and small sandwiches) in the afternoon and evening on the seventh floor is a nice treat after a day of trekking around Berlin. The lounge is also a great place to access the internet. The hotel location is good with short walks […] to both a subway station (U Bahn) and a light rail (S Bahn) station. In addition, there are several decent restaurants and coffee shops with 2 blocks of the hotel. My only complaint was unreliable wireless internet access in our particular room. However, we did have good wireless internet connectivity in the lounge on the seventh floor. So the problem seems to have been with that particular room. We informed the staff and they will probably fix the problem in that room. I would give an overall rating of 5 if the room had reliable internet access. Devamı

A point deducted for a very uncomfortable stool at the desk otherwise very good for the prices. A restaurant for an evening meal would have been nice. The gratis afternoon tea/coffee and cakes was very welcome. Easy walk to the underground station, the main shopping centres, the zoo and the Tiergarten.

i staid for one night, amazed how this hotel/apartment is designed. it is in western part of berlin. it is very nice if i am gonna stay longer as you will have your own parking, speedy net, small kitchen if it is available in your room, excellent breakfast and atmosphere at the breakfast lounge. but disadvantages is the wall of the rooms is very thin […] to the extend you can hear the steps easily out side and in the next room, my mother staid in the 6th floor. she got disturbed by the breakfast lounge in term of the catering people and hotel resident steps. also there is no ramp for the luggages especially if you have big one like mine after three weeks trip. I booked this hotel because it had an "outstanding" rating - something I'd never seen before; and because we loved the ultra modern look. I'm delighted to say that this hotel did not disappoint - we were very pleased with it. What was so good? Its central but quiet residential location, the delightfully friendly staff, its quiet efficiency, the comfortable […] beds and smart bathroom; and its incredible breakfast from the rooftop restaurant. Frankly, I'd find it difficult to come up with any criticisms. [BTW I'd also recommend the Italian restaurant just across the road.] We really enjoyed our family time sightseeing in Berlin during half-term week and the hotel was an important part of that enjoyment. Great hotel in easy walking distance of major underground and bus routes for seeing all of Berlin toursit sites. Close at hand lovely restaurants and shops. Great location on side street, with a handful of nice restaurants across the street and a couple bakeries on the corner. Very little street noise. 4 minute walk to U-Bahn. Extremely helpful, english-speaking staff. No real complaints.

We have been there with our adult kids in another room for 5 days on a family trip. location is great right in the center of berlin. the balcony and lounge on 7 floor is useful and you can drink and relax after walking all days in the city. My only comment to the management is that in our room (the small room we booked) the chair is a bar style chair […] and i could not use it with my back pain. For some people a normal chair and table will be easier. but no complain at all to the hotel or staff which were great. Devamı

Our room was fairly small, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for it. The breakfast was fabulous. The neighborhood is full of interesting stores and restaurants, and is near rapid transit. We will stay there again!

Superb English and Continental breakfast choices. Lovely roof terrace where you can sit outside in the balmy summer evening air and gaze over the Berlin roof tops. All the staff were friendly and spoke perfect English. The reception was very helpful in sorting out the details of my airport taxi transfer. The Reception Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Gave us maps of the area and information of transport. The Restaurant for Breakfast provided ample food to suit all tastes. The staff were very friendly and made you feel most welcome. They also included refreshments, available without charge throughout the day up to 10 p.m. The location was good […] for transport and the area was packed with Eateries for our Evening meal. I recommend avoiding the "breakfast lounge" at all costs. Even though they set a place specifically for your room, never inform you about the cost, never ask you to sign something, you will suddenly find an additional charge on your bill for 15 euros per person. In my case, they significantly overcharged me (for breakfasts I never even went to the lounge […] for) and the staff was unfriendly, implying that this sort of thing happens all of the time and that they are usually successful in squeezing payment out of guests (they already have our credit card info). Other than breakfast: the location is very close to the university an reasonably quiet. The rooms can get very hot and stuffy in the summer, please note that there is no air conditioning. The internet works poorly, the code that they give you seems to expire at random and the registration desk is rarely open (even for a 7AM check out), making it difficult to get a new one. Devamı

I found the hotel to be extremely clean and well designed. The front desk staff was very hospitable, friendly and professional. The Otto is in a quiet suburban neighbourhood with a great choice of cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. There is an underground station 2 minutes away, an S Bahn station a little further, and bus stops and a taxi rank round the corner, making connections to the rest of the city easy and efficient. As soon as we arrived and spoke with the lovely front desk staff we knew this hotel would be one of our favorites! Everything was perfect, the room, the beds, the bathroom and the 7th floor breakfast room had an excellent view and they also offer free coffee, tea, juice and cakes/ fruit everyday from 2-7pm in this room which we did everyday! This is a very well run hotel and a joy to stay at because all the staff are so helpful. The room was lovely - well-furnished and comfortable, plenty of space for three of us and also lots of storage space. The courtesy of providing mineral water in our room and afternoon tea in the roof top lounge, free of charge, was typical of the service at this […] hotel - they even helped us order a take away meal and provided cutlery etc. for us to have the meal in our room. It's well-situated in a very quiet area but convenient for S and U bahn systems and buses. We got a taxi the first night from Tegel airport to the Hotel, it only cost 14 euros. We went back to the airport on the express bus ( which took about 20 minutes) because the two day transport pass we had bought could be used on this bus and we had plenty of time. Really enjoyed Berlin, but there's lots to do so we hope to go back and would certainly stay at this hotel again and explore the local area more as well as the central city. Devamı

Wonderful stay and location. Only regret is that breakfast isn't included and that coffee/tea isn't available at all times. We wake up quite early, so it would have been nice to be able to get a wake-up drink.

We arrived late at Hotel Otto after midnight but even though reception had closed the arrangements for us to collect our room keys worked perfectly. We enjoyed breakfasts at the rooftop restaraunt as the food selection and service was excellent. This hotel is well placed for public transport links - it is only a few minutes from the U Bahn (Ernst Reuter Platz) or Savigny Platz (S train). To get to and from the airport you can easily get the airport express train to the zoo station and then one stop on the U Bahn to Ernst Reuter Platz. The rooms are not huge but adequate, spotlessly clean with […] a super shower and nice toiletries. There are plenty of breads, cold meats and cheeses for breakfast and there was a limited hot choice. Boiled eggs are cooked fresh to order. They offer a wide selection of teas and these are provided all day from 2-9 complimentary to hotel guests. There are also some snacks provided too. This is a really welcome touch when you return from walking around the city. For the price paid this was an excellent choice. The street is quiet and there are many restaurants close by. Devamı
