CRH - Wailua Bay View - Kapaa

Our room was spotless. Great view and with the surf just below the garden fence. Very comfortable bed. Helpful onsite manager.

When we booked online, we thought that it was a stock photo" of the view. But as soon as we opened the door and a saw the view through the patio doors, it was real! We loved to hear the sound of the crashing waves and watch the surfers brave the surf. We even saw a pregnant Hawaiian Monk seal basking in the sun on one of our beach walks.

It took 30 minutes and a guest from the resort before we can check in. Once the manager showed up and finished checking us in, another guest showed up just before I was going to leave the office n was complaining of the windows and of the recent robberies within the hotel two consecutive nites. Of course I was freaked out when I heard this I wanted […] to return the key n go to another hotel. The manager reassured me that we would b okay in the 3rd floor. So my husband and I decided to tough it out - we're New Yorker's n resilient. So throughout our 3 nite stay we put a chair at the front door, bedroom door and balcony. We also kept pots n pans at bedside in case of anything. Yes, a bit paranoid but was cautious. Other than that we had ocean front view and the place was like a timeshare that contained many important amenities. The place is across from the gas station n a busy intersection. Kapaa is a good center point to stay at in Kauai. It takes about 30-40mins max to get to either Hanalei or Poipu, but that's because it's a single lane each way. The condo we stayed in was super clean and had all the amenities we needed for cooking. There's AC in both the living room and bedroom, which you'll need because the place does get a little […] stuffy. The kitchen was clean and there were NO ROACHES! The lanai was spacious and the view was awesome. There was a breakfast bar on our lanai, so you can enjoy breakfast outdoors. Possibly dinner too if you don't mind the gnats. Has a great ocean view with it's own beach, convenient east side location, nice unit, well maintained--close to other beaches, hikes, shopping, dining.
