iDEAL LOCATION, VERY FRIENDLY MANAGEMENT AND STAFF, QUITE OLD FASHIONED FURNISHINGS BUT VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. NO LIFT BUT STAFF HAPPY TO HELP WITH CASES ETC. BREAKFAST VERY ADEQUATE AND GOOD QUALITY. COFFEE AWEFUL BUT WAITER HAPPY TO MAKE A NESCAFE IF ASKED.

Superb service and hospitality! Especially Ivana at reception and Kruno in the the restaurant. The rest of the staff was not far behind. Reasonably priced. Our room looked a little tired and needed a facelift but was nevertheless comfortable. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, which was packed in the evening.

Terrible hotel. I am unsure how anyone has given it a positive rating. The good aspect is the location, perfect for the beach and the bus stop. The positives end there. The first room I was in was a health hazard, the air con didn’t work, light fittings hanging off, toilet didn’t flush. My confirmation said I had a balcony, but I did not. This was my second visit to this region (Lapad beach). My experience in this hotel was extremely dissapointing and I would never stay here again. I checked in with a work colleague & expecting a twin room, we were given a double. When I asked the receptionist to move us, I was told that there were no other rooms & that I should stop wasting their time, […] I have never been insulted like this in any other hotel. The room was small but had a nice balcony onto the main walk. However, this was the only positive comment I have. The rest of the room was dirty. There was a dirty glass on the table with beer inside it, it was covered with a clear plastic to make it look like it was a clean glass. The toilet was reasonably clean but there was no hand wash in the containers & no soap. The shower was strong but the shower cubicle was mouldy with mildew & mould in the shower tray. The airconditioning was working but set at 19 degrees which was very cold. There was no remote control for the a/c unit so I couldnt change the temperature & when one of the hotel staff came to help he just simply unplugged it as he could not increase the temperature. He said that this is fine as the temperature outside was ok, however it was very hot and the a/c could not be turned on again. We had to open the windows but couldnt sleep as it was noisy outside. The bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very basic and the service was average. There are better hotels in this area, avoid this one. Devamı

I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and the location was perfect. The complimentary wifi and breakfast buffet gave it an extra sense of luxury. Sure, the hotel isn't any 5 star hotel, but it was perfect for our needs. The location couldn't have been better. We enjoyed the beach and swimming in Lapad and it was […] super easy access into the Old City on the number 6 bus. The hotel is located on a promenade and it was so pleasant to walk the promenade at night and enjoy the sites of this charming coastal town. Very friendly staffs and good location. Close to the beach. Bus stop to old town is 2 mins away fron the hotel. Rooms are clean. Hotel restaurant offers good seafood dishes.

Great hotel in a great location Its about a 7 min bus ride from the old town which is easy to get and pay for. The hotel itself is on a pedestrian street with plenty of bars/restaurants and at the end of the strip is the sea.

Receptionist Ivana was extremely polite and helpful, even carrying a suitcase up two flights of stairs. Unfortunately, the waiter at breakfast was much less helpful, clearing away our plates when we had just got up to get a refill!

Nice hotel. The big plus is the staff, who was friendly and professional. The only (minor) minus is the breakfast, in particular I missed some good coffee.

It was on a quiet street with no car traffic, walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping and bars. And then, a 10 min bus drive to the old city.

The best part of the hotel was its location. In a quiet pedestrian only street with a very short walk to the bus (which went every 15 mins) and a small Tourist Information nearby. The breakfast was poor. It was good enough but no variety and the fresh fruit supplied was definitely not good quality. The waiters were fairly efficient but never, ever smiled […] (at anyone). They were understaffed when the breakfast room was busy. Our room was adequate and fortunately we also had a small balcony. I could go on about noisy toilets throughout the hotel etc but I don't think this beautiful country has the building regulations etc that we here in Australia have, so they do the best with what they have. For the sum we paid, can't grumble at all. We were booked in for 4 nights B&B and the breakfast was more than adequate. The restaurant looks better than it is if you are thinking of paying for a meal! Reception staff are very helpful. Great location and our first time in Croatia. We stayed here 4 nights, the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are smallish but for the price I would say very good value. Breakfast was good but the coffee is truly terrible. The staff took pity on us a couple of times and made a nice cappuccino for us. Located a few km outside the old city, this hotel is in a nice neighborhood on a […] pedestrian way close to a nice, albeit rocky beach. Very handily placed location. 2minutes from beaches and 10-15mim bus ride for 10kn into old town. Street infront of hotel is a no car area so is nice and quiet, no free parking from hotel but I parked nearby in supermarket for free and car was fine. Room was standard, tv tiny and fridge not great but staff were very nice and for the price I couldn't […] complain, for location alone I would stay here again. Breakfast was standard continental with some scrambled eggs and sausage. Coffee however was very poor, tepid and full of grounds. I was treated very well at the Hotel Dubrovnik by the staff and manager who could not have done any more to make my stay very enjoyable, location of the hotel is excellant with regards the beach and bus stop, there are also a number of very good and fair priced restaurants at close hand.

We were very disappointed with the service in this hotel. We were given a small room in a rooftop annex, with no view (facing a wall), no balcony, no internet & no satellite TV (all of which were shown on Hotels.com website to be available in all rooms). When we complained we were asked to wait until the next day when we were given a larger room with […] balcony in the same annex, but where the airconditioning was non functioning and again no internet access or satellite TV. We complained and were moved once again, this time to the main hotel in a large room with balcony; unfortunately the airconditioning was again non functioning and there was no satellite TV. Eventually after a final complaint on the third day the airconditioning was enabled. Thus for 2 nights out of our 4 night stay we had a totally unsuitable room. In fact because of the heat (& the impossibility of opening windows because of the noise in the restaurant below until the early hours) we were unable to sleep at all on the 2nd night and therefore were not able to enjoy much of the third day. In compensation we were offered a bottle of wine which we refused. Throughout the staff appeared sympathetic, but we were given the impression that we were a nuisance, and certainly they did not appear to be aware of how the rooms had been advertised. Thus we feel that your description of the hotel was totally misleading - in fact erroneous. We would certainly not have chosen this hotel were we aware of the actual conditions in the hotel. Devamı

Hotel Dubrovnik is convenient to transportation into the old city, in a quiet location with nice places to eat or get a gelato, and overall very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and a pleasure with which to work. I would stay there again.

The hotel room was small, reasonably priced and situated a 15 bus trip from old town of dubrovnik, on a pleasant restaurant walking only street and near an average beach. Although the receptionist was pleasant it was all down hill from there. Our room had not been cleaned properly and contained someone's dental applicance, a body scrub pad, dirty towels and glasses that were still wet. The room was so small the chair would not even fit behind the desk and the accumulated dirt meant I didn't even want to touch the plug […] board to recharge my camera. The breakfast room was similarly grimy, the breakfast waiter the only inattentive person in the whole of Croatia and on the whole we felt that this hotel was hugely disappointing. In our travels to Croatia we stayed in many hotels (some much cheaper) and all better than this one. A shame, the location was good, the beach nice and in principle a good place to stay. Hotel Dubrovnik was conveniently located and reasonable for the price but needs some maintenance and better cleaning. Our shower in particular was in a poor state of maintenance including a lot of mould, slow draining and a bundle of someone else's hair.

We loved the area. It was easy to hop on a bus to visit the old town and then come back to enjoy the restaurants and walks along the beach. Breakfast is served at 7 but when we told them we needed a taxi for the airport at 6 they arranged breakfast for us. I was impressed!

Everything we had expected in a small personal hotel with character. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location set in a lane of similar hotels with indoor /outdoor dining. Frequent & handy bus service into Old City. Being the shoulder season it was quieter and we enjoyed the local culture. Good breakfast.

The hotel was in a residential yet tourist area with lots of convenient eateries and a grocery store nearby. Bus service was inexpensive and quick to "Old Town." 3 minute walk from hotel and runs every 10 minutes or so. The Hotel is about 2.5 km away from the old city where most of the tourist action is but is very close to the beaches, so if you plan to spend most of the time at the beach or on boats it is well situated. The room itself was not that good, long an narrow, with air conditioning that did not work at time or that well. They also provided the harshest […] sand-paper towels which were awful. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay at this excellent small hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and courteous and the rooms were immaculate. Our room had a private bathroom and small balconey with double-glazed windows, plus all the usual mod cons you'd normally expect to find. Breakfast included a wide range of help-yourself […] choices in a relaxed informal atmosphere. A short walk from the hotel took you round a virtually traffic-free pathway with beautiful views across Lapad Bay. There were numerous places to swim in crystal clear water, savour a drink right next to the sea or enjoy a meal overlooking the ocean as the sun set - Heaven! Alternatively, the hotel was just a few mins walk from the bus stop where frequent buses would soon have you dropped off in the old city of Dubrovnik. We didn't have time to even begin to explore the possibilities of this ancient and fascinating city. We did spend one day on the 3 Island Boat trip (advertised in the hotel) which the hotel staff organised at the last minute. This was a wonderful way to spend a truly relaxing day on the islands of Kolocep, Sipan & Lopud - with lunch & wine included. I would also highly recommend the ice-cream parlour right next to the hotel! Overall this was a truly lovely place to stay & I would love to come back here soon. Devamı

Salle de bains nettoyée chaque jour et linge toilette changé aussi, mais moquette chambre pas nettoyée et des petites bébêtes dans la literie qui nous ont beaucoup piqué chaque nuit. problème signalé, mais... Hotellet hade bra läge och rummen var tysta, dock inte så väl städade. Saknade tvål i badrummen och glasen byttes inte trots att de var använde. Annars var badrummet helt ok. Även rummet ok om man vill bara sova där.

vi kom 2 damer til hotellet med masse bagasje etter 3 uker i Monte Negro. koffertene var kjempetunge, men de ansatte ordnet opp. kokk resepsjonist og servitør var med og bar det opp til 3. etasje. det er ikke heis på hotellet. kjempe koselig plass, nærme stranda og super service. vi kommer tilbake:) hilsen Sol og Bente
