Maldron Hotel Tallaght - Dublin

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The services provided (pool, gym, bar & dining, etc) far exceeded the inexpensive cost of the stay. However, if you are looking to travel to Dublin, the commute on the Luas (a stop is nearby) is about 45mins in to the center of Dublin. The only negative was how inconveniently far it was from the city center or any nice restaurants. The hotel does not offer a courtesy bus from the airport. There is a bus that can take you to Tallaght center, but it is only offered hourly, so if you miss it, you have to wait an hour. Our taxi ride to the hotel was about 60 Euro. The staff was friendly, for the most part. However, during our 5 night stay we requested wake up calls each morning. This service was unreliable. Three times we did not receive any wake up. One time when we did, it called an hour late and we missed a tour scheduled in Dublin. Set your own alarm. Otherwise, this hotel provided a nice stay. Devamı

The rooms themselves were quite okey, except when i arrieved the hotel was overbooked and i got a smoking room. There's a Lidl 30-40 meters from the hotel entrance, and a large shopping mall within 300 meters. Theres also busstops and tramstop nearby (3-500 meters) and the flybus from the airport stops at the hotell. The rest of the area near the […] hotel is quite uninteressting. The hotel is in a good location in Tallaght, 5 minutes from Flybus stop, 7 minutes from LUAS Tallaght station and shopping centre. The reception was nice and helpful but the maintenance was not very efficient. It took 5 days to repair a flickering light.

close to tallaght village and square shopping centre and hospital very pleasant staff but rooms a bit shabby also facing shamrock rovers ground so ideal for matches

I attended a function with my wife and two teenage children. A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The Hotel has car parking but is only a three minute walk from bus and tram connections. The location is very nice overlooking Shamrock Rovers football ground . The food was very high standard and the rooms were well furnished and spotless.

the Maldron is a new hotel and has all the mod cons expected. good sized room, great shower. Tallagh is right on the edge of dublin and takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get into the city. but the Luas is right near the hotel and the reasonable rates made up for the journey which was really easy. The WIFI had good signal strength in the room. the only […] criticism. Hard beds. What is it about hotels and hard beds? and those stupid hairdryers in the drawer with the cord too short for you to use properly. Devamı

the hotel was lovely the only thing i would question was that given aa smoking room no ashtray was provided.

Fine for three star hotel. Not a great area. Carpet was filthy from stains. No throw on bed like in the photo - just duvet barely tucked in. Bed bit like cardboard. Food was good though. Staff seemed helpful enough. Cheap and cheerful overall.

The Maldron Hotel Tallagh is located across from the Tallagh stadium home of Shamrock Rovers football club. The hotel is very nice in the public areas, reception, bar, and resturant all great, the breakfast served in the resturant was very good with lots of choice. However it was a good hotel in a good location having the LUAS tram system a short walk away at the Tallagh Square shoping centre offering convenient transport into the city centre. did not feel very safe on the luas at night or making my way from the luas stop to the hotel. Nothung to do in Tallaght at night, not even a cinema so you need to head into town

On check-in I had a problem regarding the cleanliness of my room and I am very happy to report that my problem was dealt with most effectively and politely. As a result I will definitely return again soon.

We were very disappointed with the lack of service in the breakfast room on our stay this time round we had to look for cups which were not there for our tea and coffee also no side plates were anywhere to be seen for our toast. Standard of service this time was not good enough especially from one member of staff.

Very good all round hotel. Safe and secure parking in Basement. Shops and fast food within short walking distance. Room clean and well presented. I found the fan filter, over the shower, clogged up and solid with dust. Not very inviting with no steam venting properly !! Otherwise good value.

Room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. Free wifi and access to the Arena Leisure Center was an added bonus.

It is a modern hotel with a good leisure activity area (swiming pool, gym) that we could use for free. Rooms were clean and there are not many stains on the carpet. However, I would recommend to clean the windows from time to time. The bed side lamps need maintenance. The noise level generated by the main road was as expected. We didn't experience noise […] from the hotel. The restaurant is the weak point of the hotel. The prices of the meals are not really justified. No worries, there is a good alternative not to far away for lunch and dinner. The dining area of the hotel restaurant needs a cleaning. We had breakfast at 2 mornings and both times the floor was stickily. The breakfast is good but nothing exceptional. Therefore, the price for an adult breakfast of Euro 12.50 is not justifiable at all. Fortunately, the staff didn't take the money for the children's breakfast. Devamı

They hotel was below average. Inside the room was fairly clean but the chairs where very worn and the furniture looked a little beat up as well. We were right across from the football pitch and the road so we heard every police and emergency vehicle go by. We did stay during Holy week (there on Good Friday and Easter Sunday) therefore I think they were […] running on a skeleton crew. The food service was very slow and they missed a wakeup call which caused some stress since we were on a schedule. Overall you get what you pay for and we needed a budget hotel. Devamı

When I arrived at the hotel the roo wasn't ready but they did explain that they had had a very busy weekend and that the room would be ready in a half an hour. When i finally go in to the rooms is was plesant clean and bright. The staff member on duty on reception was polite and efficient as were all other staff in the hotel. The bathroom was well laid out with all the essentials present. a plentyfull supply of tea, coffee was available in the room as was a minisafe. No issue with wi-fi Internet either and having obtained my account details at reception I was up and working in to time at all. i would have no hesitation in reccomending ths hotel to anyone. this hotel is nice and clean, great for a lil weekend away that i wanted, just wanted to relax. staff friendly! The only thing annoyned me was that i booked a "double" bed but as with most hotels we got two singles pushed together, this was my only fault with the hotel!!

very disappointed with our stay. booked a double room and it was 2 single beds together which was very uncomfortable, the first night we got no sleep due to a sign advertising the carvery lunchs blowing in the wind all night. the 2nd night was kept awake from doors banging all night. Room service were knocking on door at 10am even tho check out is 12. […] at 12 o clock on the dot reception rang to say check out was now (12pm) so i felt like they just wanted us gone as they had gotten there money. will not reccommend this hotel to any1 as it will be a disappointing stay. it looks like a really nice hotel and i was really looking forward to staying there but was very disappointed and was really tired when i got home as i hadnt slept properly all weekend.. so much for a relaxing break. This Maldron hotel is simple THE BEST !!

Room clean and comfortable. Cold at first until i managed to get 2 windows closed. Would question the position of the radiator as i felt the heat was being prevented from circulating through the room. Liked the way the bedrooms were situated in small groupings off a central landing when exiting the lift rather than having to walk lengthy corridors. […] Food was good, both on evening of arrival, at breakfast next morning and very good conference lunch. However, the dining area in the bar on evening of arrival could have been much warmer. there seemed to be cold air coming down from overhead. I explained this to the waiter, as did another group sitting at the next table. As the situation didn't improve, we brought it to the attention of a female staff member, who requested her manager to turn on the heating. very nice hotel,good price,i found that location was very good,specially for the people are not familiar with Dublin center,very easy to get in there from motorway,LUAS stop outside the hotel,so 20 minutes and you in city center,would go back there for sure

I stayed in this hotel with a friend and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. There is an underground car park which I was very pleased with. The only thing which I wasn't 100% happy with was that the room was extremely hot for some reason even with the heater turned off. The hotel was beautiful on the inside. There were working on renovating and the paint was the last thing to finish. The fumes could be a little much at times. I would prefer a more "comfortable" place to smoke other than the front entrance since all the rooms are non-smoking. It's a long walk from the room to the front door when you want to go out more […] than twice. My partner and I chose the Maldron as it seemed to be close to the city centre of Dublin but still had a pool and gym facilities. The hotel in the centre didn't have these. We arrived at Dublin airport and took the airport bus to the Conolly Station in the centre then took a Luas tram to Tallaght, the public transport is very good, but took longer […] than expected. We arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome and a nice clean relaxing room with a balcony, which allowed my partner to smoke in peace without having to go through the hotel and outside. The only fault I had was, that after looking for a hotel with a pool, I was a bit dissapointed in the size of the pool, very small and at the time I visted, there was a lot of foreign families, who did not obey the rules. (One being that you had to wear a swim cap - I think there was only about 4 of us that did!) The only other issue was that the hotel details said that Tallaght and the hotel were about 6 miles from the centre of Dublin, but the Luas journey was about 45 mins, this was a huge issue as the public transport is well supported and runs regularly but maybe for families, this would be a bit of a hassle. But saying that, we had no complaints about the hotel and feel that we got good value for money. Devamı

Unfortunately we only booked this room for a few days- the hotel was excellent and far surpassed our expectations. The location is excellent- a bit outside of city centre, but very easily accessible by bus (bus stop is about a 2 blocks away). If you rent a car, there is a parking garage at no extra cost, and if you're a fan of coffee- there is a Starbucks […] across the street from the bus stop (2 blocks away). The staff was extremely helpful and friendly regardless of the time or number of people in line, the room was very clean and had an excellent view of the Dublin Mountains. Its a good hotel for the money (booking through this website!), rooms are comfy, food is good. The only problem we had was the incredible heat in the room at night time, made it difficult to sleep. Staff were friendly.

We was slightly sceptical taking a hotel in Tallaght but on finding the Maldron we were taken aback. This contemporary Hotel is of a very high standard and the facilities are top class, the staff are very ameniable. All in all I couldnt recommend The Maldron Tallaght much higher.

hotel was perfect location. carpet in room was bit grubby. but main problem was the noise level. i stayed on a friday night and seemingly there is a party on every friday night. i was in room 218 and i could not sleep with the music was so loud.

This hotel was better than I expected, the staff were nice, the hotel was clean, and I got a lovely room with huge windows and balcony. Pool, gym and beauty salon all there. For the price I paid, I was impressed! I would definitely stay there again.

The room is superb (spacious, nice, luxury, clean and neat). The price that I have paid was for 1 night but I stayed there for 2 nights (promotion get 1 night free). So it is really value for money. The location is only about 100m to Tallaght Square (shopping center). There is also flybus service straight to the airport from Tallaght Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer (Nr. 209) mit 2 Fensterfronten hofseitig und damit sehr ruhig; nach Rückdrehen der Heizung war auch das Zimmerklima angenehm, wenig Hellhörigkeit (wobei möglichlicherweise das Nachbarzimmer nicht belegt war) aber Zimmertüren fielen laut zu wenn man nicht händisch abfedert. In unserem Stock gab es nur eine Terrasse vor dem Zimmer, […] konnten wir aber nicht nutzen, da vom Zimmer her nur ausklappbare Fenster waren. In unserer Rate war Full Irish Breakfast inkludiert. Unser Zimmer wurde immer erst am Nachmittag gesäubert, da wir ohnehin unterwegs waren, nicht das große Problem. In Hotelnähe gibt ein paar Fastfoodläden, einen Supermarkt sowie Lidl und die Luas-Line, mit der man in ca. 40 Minuten ins Zentrum fahren kann, sonst nicht so umfangreiche Infrastruktur, aber wir hatten ein Mietauto und die Hotelgarage war für Gäste gratis. Im Hotel gibt es auch ein Fitnessstudio sowie Schwimmbad - haben wir nicht genutzt (Badehaubenpflicht, kann vor Ort gekauft werden) - ist aber auch öffentlich zugänglich. Restaurant haben wir abends nur für Drinks genutzt. Samstags wurde eine Geburtstagsparty abgehalten, obwohl nur 1 Stock unterhalb haben zumindest wir nichts mitbekommen, unser Zimmer war aber auch am Ende des Ganges. Personal sehr hilfsbereit (hatten Waren in den Hotelkühlschrank einlagern lassen und konnten die Bordkarten beim Internetdrucker nicht ausdrucken, so hat das die Receptionistin auf unsere Rückfrage hin für uns übernommen). Wir können aufgrund unserer Erfahrung das Hotel nur empfehlen und werden selbst auch wieder hinfahren. Devamı
