Palazzo Guardati has an excellent and central location within walking distance to bus and train station. The rooms were of good size compared to European rooms; breakfast was descent. The only negative thing was the beds were very hard as well as the pillows. Overall, I would return again.

Stayed here last year, even better this year with the addition of plunge pool on roof terrace

We stayed at Palazzo Guardati end of May/beg of Jun, it's a great hotel and the staff are very nice!! Will definitely go back to this hotel if we stay in Sorrento again! When we arrived at Naples airport, we got train from Naples train station to Sorrento train station, but on the way back we got coach that picks you up from Sorrento train station and […] takes you straight to the airport, it only cost 10 euros each and would definitely advise people to do the latter. The roof terrace is lovely and we went up there during the day when it didn't rain and evenings for drinks! The breakfast buffet is nice! The hotel room was kept very clean. The only problem we found with the room was that we were on the first floor and below us was the kitchen for the restaurant next door and the noise of the kitchen would wake us up a few times each night, so if you do stay at this hotel try to avoid the first floor. Excellent hotel - great location. Clean. Quiet. Marco behind the desk is a true gem. Breakfast is very good - lovely service by Vittorio. Highly recommended.

The hotel was a little hard to find. The streets are not marked that well in Sorento. The hotel was comfortable, and had good space for the two of us. The bed was not too hard and not too soft, so just right for me. The bathroom was easy to use and had plenty of space. Only down side of our particular room was that we were placed right next to the elevator […] shaft. The hotel is convenient for dining and junk shop shopping. the hotel was very comfortable and clean, however, we asked for a wake up call and never got it, this happened twice, luckily, we did not need to get up early for anything important, like catching a plane

Room large, bathroom (in fact shower room) small but not disappointing. Cleanlines excellent. Balcony and views very good. (looks over the sea rather than the town). Safe very small. It's quite a walk to and from town (particularly from town - it's all uphill or up steep steps), but the hotel operates a shuttle bus (though it only goes every two hours). […] If you do walk down into town, take the steps instead of the road where you can to save a lot of time The hotel is very well positioned as somewhere you can get to and from easily with luggage; it would seem that most hotels in Positano are not. Breakfast very basic unless you pay extra. Staff helpful. We were quite disappointed by the jacuzzi - you have to pay to turn the jets on. No idea how long they last as we didn't have any change and after coming back early with the intention of using it we weren't able to. Also given the price we paid for the room we thought it very cheeky that we were expected to pay again for something that we've never been asked to pay extra for in any other hotel. Also we couldn't change the temperature on the air-con (there are buttons for it, but they don't work). We had a hot first night, and were told the next morning that the temperature can be controlled at the reception desk - it would have been nice to have been told this on arrival. Shouldn't be a problem for you though so long as you remember this and ask in advance for it to be set to the temperaure you like. Staff recommended an excellent restaurant up the hill. This was a very nice hotel with large rooms and good AC. The staff was helpful and there was a nice rooftop bar but it was a bit too hot to enjoy in August! This hotel is down an alley too small to get a car down but if you ask around the shopkeepers in the city center they will get you there! Don't rely on GPS, it has no idea how to get there! We stayed at this hotel for 5 days in July and found it to be a very pleasant stay. It is centrally located to everything in Sorrento, we even walked to and from the railroad station. It's a great home base for visiting the Amalfi Coast by bus, Pompeii and Naples by train, and Capri by ferry. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It's right on the main square. The decor of the hotel is really nice and the rooms are finshed in a real italian style. We had a very pleasant stay at Palazzo Guardatti, I can definetely say that was the best hotel through our trip in Italy. The hotel is convinient located just a few steps from Piazza Tasso, one of Sorrento's main squares and next to the stairs that can take you up and down to Marina Piccola. We has four very pleasant nights at this hotel. It was a little bit difficult to locate because it was off of the plaza but locals helped us find it. An easy walk from the train and bus station. The staff were extremely helpful in selecting our activities. Sorrento was a great base from which to make day trips to the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Capri. […] Don't miss the bus ride down to Positano. Get a seat on the coastal side of the bus. The views are spectacular. Others recommended the boat trip from Sorrento to Positano. Try the bus one way and the boat the other. The restaurant where the alleyway entered the square provided excellent food every night. All in all, an excellent hotel choice in a great location. Devamı

Palazzo Guardati is a small hotel, centrally located, half a block of Piazza Tasso which offers wonderful service. Good breakfast buffet. Our only complaint is that the room didn't have adequate lighting. The mandatory low energy bulbs do not offer good reading light. Otherwise, this is a jewell in the heart of Sorrento.

Best breakfast and largest room we encountered during our travels in Italy. Staff very willing to help in any way though not always accurate (i.e, recommended restaurant closed, bus ticket fees greatly miss quoted) but errors nothing of great impact. Once we found the hotel and got settled in we were very pleased with our hotel and the service given to us. Hotel is nestled in amongst other buildings and away from the road. Centrally located to restaurants and great for walking the city. If you are looking for a quaint hotel in the center of Sorrento this is the perfect place to stay. The facilities were immaculately clean, modern and extremely quiet for being in such a central location. The views for the rooftop were great and the breakfast was very varied. This beautiful hotel is situated just off the main square of Sorrento. The room was spacious and elegant and the bathroom was large and beautifully appointed. We loved the roof garden for a pre-dinner drink, it overlooks the Bay. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Just one block from the main square. Down a quiet alley. Beautifully restored palace. Has all the modern amenities. Very clean. Good breakfast. Vittorio is a delight. Highly recommended!
