Off season this is a value motel and at that rate it is a reasonable value. But in season if they charge their posted rates it is a bad joke. While I was there the heating unit needed to be replaced and the toilet tank needed to be fixed. I did not bother to mention the loose board under the carpet. The cosmetic repair is woeful with rusty shower head, […] paint drops and runs, badly patched walls and ceilings and patched hardware and woodwork. This all points to the owners who do not invest. The staff on the other hand tries very hard. They are friendly and courteous. The repairs were made quickly in the two noted cases and the room was very well cleaned. This place is older and with that you can tell there could be some improvements, but overall a nice place to stay for the price. Very conveniently located on Chincoteague. The beds were comfy. There was a hair dryer, coffee pot with coffee and tea, an iron/& board, soaps and plenty of towels. The continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Pastries, […] waffles, eggs, cereal, fruit, juices, oatmeal, coffee, tea and all the extras needed to serve. For the cost of the room, breakfast alone was worth it! We had a wonderful time, the staff was very helpful and very nice, we were there for the weekend and it was off season.. so it was very quiet and peaceful.. within walking to shops,dinner, & icecream.. We loved it..

Nice location, friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet. Beds need new mattresses (way too soft)... quiet place in spite of being so close to highway. Nothing spectacular about view, but ok if you just want hotel for a sleep to sleep. Price a little high for the comfort, location and season (went there in mid October). The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. We felt it was somewhat overpriced. We were given the very end of a roll of toilet paper and that was it. No extra tissue of any kind! No Kleenex, no extra roll of T.P.

It is what it is - a low cost hotel in a beach town. The room we had was covered by wood paneling a la 1970s, but that was more charming than cheezy. very nice, room looked like a log cabin, nice pool, AC was very powerful.The staff was very friendly, my sister left her hat, and when we called them the people working there had tok it in and made sure she received her hat back.I would stay here again.

If you're looking for a decent, budget-type place to stay in Chincoteague, and don't mind the location on the main commercial road and total absence of ambiance, this is a good deal and a convenient location.

The room was as advertised, but just barely--the "large" double was not very large and the "kitchenette" was a mini fridge with a tiny microwave stacked on top. The shower looked a bit grungy on check-in, but the rest of the room appeared clean. We took the eco-friendly option and asked that the sheets not be changed, but we did not realize that they […] would not be replacing the towels as well. Would have like a heads-up on that score. The room was not made up at all on our second day--I guess because we were not out of the room at the right time. The location was very convenient to a number of restaurants and shops. Most friendly and accomodating proprieter (Harry), and excellent staff (Amber). I have stayed there for years under former name of hotel, always like it for central location (and Lightning - the Assateague pony in the side yard), but even better as a Rodeway Inn.

This is an older hotel, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the large king room with the knotty pine paneling. It was unique, cozy and a bit nostalgic. The location of the hotel is very convenient to getting around town and is a short drive to the park. We would stay here again if we were to return to Chincoteague.

Rolling in at midnight for an unexpected stay, the Rodeway Inn is accomodating, friendly and will do their best to maky your visit great. If you're looking for a hot night life, partying till dawn, go else where. We visit each year, and never had a problem. This year it appears they have updated the rooms and it was a pleasant surprise. While not well promoted, they are pet-friendly for an additional fee. The front desk staff have all been above average and very nice and helpful.

Great deal. Hotel was easy to find. Check-in was a breeze. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. Free wifi. Free breakfast including make-your-own waffles. Craig the manager on duty when we checked in was friendly and helpful, supplying a local restaurants map. We had a problem with the room key card not working. When I went back to the office, […] he reset it and then called his son to meet me at the room to be sure it worked. When it didn't, Chris (the son) went back to the office to reset it and also brought the keys to the adjoining room just in case. My boyfriend and I checked in for the annual Oyster Festival at Chincoteague Island. We procured the reservation from Expedia and were able to secure a room for one night, rather than the three night minimum policy for the weekend which most hotels in the area were implementing. The room was very clean and it was located just across the street from […] the Chincoteague Island Trolley pick-up--quite convenient. The bathroom facilities are very nice, great water pressure and impeccable facilities overall. Initially, I was quite concerned about the bed's firmness. It seemed too cushy for the comfort of my back. However, I had one of the best night's sleep of my life. My only regret is that we were staying around guests with young children (even though we had a corner room). The walls are paper thin and we were woken up quite early to disgruntled tikes. We could also make out every word that was said by those tenets next door. When I undoubtedly stay there again, I might consider ear plugs. Devamı

We had a great time in Chincoteague. The hotel staff were very kind and allowed us to check in a little early. The hotel was within walking distance to a lot of bike rental places. We enjoyed the pool. The staff was accomodating and permitted us to check out a bit late. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

It's plain to see that the ownership of this hotel is only interested in putting in the absolute minimum in maintenance. The air conditioner does not provide a thermostat, so you are limited to how cool the room will be. The television is at least a decade old. The beds would have been decent if it weren't for all of the sand on the sheets. Flies abound […] in the room. Not really sure why that was, but we couldn't get rid of them. The walls and floors are paper thin so you can hear anything else that is happening. It is very difficult to enter or exit the hotel due to the parking lot layout. The only bright spot are the horses they keep on the property. If possible, stay at the Hampton Inn or Best Western. Devamı

This place is a total dump. Maybe that's to be expected or tolerated at a sleepy coastal town, but still, it was pretty bad. The room smelled. Plus there were like NO available places to plug in anything like a laptop except for next to the bathroom sink. The wireless internet is a joke, I was barely able to get a login prompt it was so slow. I arrived […] at like midnight, and by 1 am I was literally driving around the area looking for another room. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was centrally located, with a restaurant right next door, and two ice cream places within walking distance. You can only stay so close to the beach anyway, so the drive was not bad. This was your typical Quality Inn and exactly what we expected for the price paid. We got a good rate from Expedia, but it was a Thursday night and a couple of weeks before the children finish school for their summer break so the area and the Hotel were pretty quiet. Bathroom has shower over the bath and a toilet. Single sink was at the back of the […] main room. It was nice to have a fridge in the room (no icebox compartment). All were very clean. Also had a microwave which we didn't use. We stayed in a smoking room (our request) with 2 Queen beds and were on the second level. There is only the 1st level (ground floor) or second level. No inside corridors so all rooms on our level opened onto the outside corridor. This didn't bother us as the Hotel was quiet anyway. Pool was a decent size with sunbeds. Poolside towels were provided, although they were only small. Hotel was walking distance to Main Street so we had a nice meal there at Don's Fish Restaurant. Hotel breakfast wasn't great but was adequate (waffle maker, cereal, muffins, bread for toasting, etc). There was only about 6 tables (most of these were small tables for 2) so this would be a problem once the Hotel is busy. The coke and ice machines are on 1st level but not outside any rooms (so minimal noise) Would return to Hotel again if we got a decent rate. Island Creamery right next door makes their own ice-cream and waffle bowls on the premises. The waffle bowl ice-cream is definitely recommended!!! Devamı

Located well, it was comfortable, Staff was friendly. Continental Breakfast was poor: watered-down orange juice, only bagels and a few muffins that might have been there day after day. Bananas were very soft. It was not expensive relative to some of the other places on Chincoteague.

The bed had an epidemics of bed bugs. I had to wake up in the middle of the night to move to another room. It was a terrible experience. I am not coming to the hotel again.

We arrive around midnight, the hotel clerk had my keys and paperwork already prepared. I was checked into the hotel in under 5 minutes. The room was very nice, the staff very friendly. Overall a great mini vacay!

This was obviously a "local" hotel that has been acquired by Quality Inn. The room I was in had real hardwood paneled walls, cathedral ceilings, and crossbeams like in a log cabin. Like most "beach" hotels, the room had a musty smell untill we got the air circulating. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The breakfast was more than enough. The […] microwave, fridge, & coffee pot in the room were all clean. My only criticism is that the bathroom sink/counter is not separated from the sleeping area. If you want to sleep in while your companion blow-drys their hair, puts on make-up, etc., it is going to be difficult. Can walk to most of the restaurants & little shops in town. One of the most economical options in the area, the hotel is well-situated to all the island's activities. Rooms are a bit on the worn side, but definitely passable. Staff was very friendly & helpful and they offer a nice, full breakfast for free.

I stayed in this hotel for a work event nearby and was not expecting much, based on some of the other reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room looked (it is a little old and could use some repairs, but is as nice or nicer than hotels twice the price) and at the service. Shortly after I arrived, I noticed that my shower didn't have […] a shower curtain, so I called the front desk. They apologized profusely and brought me one about 5 minutes later -- explaining that they had washed it and forgotten to hang it back up. It looked very clean and I will say I'd much rather have a clean shower curtain I have to wait 5 minutes for than a dirty one hanging when I get there. The breakfast was also nicer -- with more options -- than I am used to at hotels that offer a free breakfast. I was expecting toast and some bad coffee, but they had bagels, muffins, a make-your-own-waffle station, cereal and more. The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave. In all, this was a great hotel for the price. I would definitely go back -- for business or a short beach vacation. Might not be the best option for a long trip or if you're looking for luxury.
