QBIC HOTEL AMSTERDAM WTC - Amsterdam

The location is great, the person at the reception was very nice. At the arrival the room was clean.

Room was pretty cool different to any other room ive stayed in. I read reviews that there were no windows or door to shower but that didnt bother my partner or i too much, however no natural light does cause sleep ins! Convenient location to catch the tram or train to the city centre.

Enjoyed a great stay in the Qbic hotel for 3 nights in July. On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff who made you feel at home, and also spoke perfect English which was great for Brits(!). The hotel is very close to the airport - 6 mins by train - and is in the World Trade Centre. There isn't much to do in that area, but the metro and tram are […] 2 mins walk away so you can get around easily. The hotel was ultra modern and nicely furnished. There were vending machines if you needed a drink or something to eat, and a locable safe in your room. Excellent wifi and TV facilities. Could only be improved by kettle and drinks in the rom. The cleaniless was good, although the laminate floor was a bit dirty. Overall, the stay was very good value for money and I would recommend to others. Devamı

Overall an excellent hotel. only gripes would be the missing bathroom door and the uncomfy pillows, although i knew about both these issues in advance. Apart from those minor issues it was an excellent place to stay! A little out of the city but there is literally a tram stop, metro stop and train stop on the doorstep. with a tram only 10 mins to city […] centre and train 8 mins to airport. There were quite a few good and bad things about this hotel. The modern lighting looked really nice but I found it difficult to control is correctly. There were not enough normal lights in the room. There was also not enough storage space to hang your clothes and keep your little things in the drawer. The double bed was in fact two single beds joined […] together and this was quite uncomfortable. The basin wasn't convenient as there was no space to keep the wet soap. I like open plan in general but not having a toilet and bathroom door is not the best of the open plans, especially if you are staying with a partner. This hotel is a simple plain hotel. Nothing fancy, but for the price and location worth staying at. The price is similar to paying for two people to stay at a hostel, but you get your own room. The location on the map isn't correct, and it can be hard to find. Here is how to find it. From the Amsterdam Zuid Train/Metro station go north, towards the […] WTC, follow the signs. As soon as you get out of the tunnel from the train station, you'll be at the WTC, this area is a large open square. Immediately turn right, East, and walk along the south side of the east WTC complex. This is a small road and easily missed. The hotel will be in the WTC on the left side. The hotel sign is very small. The train/metro tracks will be on your right side. Overall the location is a ways from downtown, 10-15 min on the metro/tram. It's easy to get around if you buy a GVB pass. Tram to the Van Gogh and Rjiksmuseum is less than 10 min, and Metro to the Amsterdam Central station is 15 min. Train to Schipol airport is easy and about 10 min. So while not downtown it's still a great location and easy to get everywhere one would want to go while visiting Amsterdam for a much cheaper price than staying downtown. Devamı

It's a really interesting experience to stay at qbic. The hotel has some authentic touch on everything. The corridors scent, the led lights, the walls, furniture, ... Really like it. Hard to find the hotel, before going need to print out a really detail map, beacause i ask 7 people and no one know where it is. This Qbic hotel was unlike any place we have stayed. The LED lights in the bedroom were pretty cool and the room was a funky little shell that was comfortable. We didn't really like that there was no door on the toilet/bathroom, and you can see dirt/dust on the floor where the bed shell doesn't meet the wall. The staff were uninterested in doing anything […] but cruise the internet and eat strudel. We were not given a city map. We witnessed two other guests complain - (1) the room was not clean; (2) the LED lights didn't work. The staff didn't really seem to care about either of these complaints. The hotel is located a good 15min tram ride out of the city centre. We didn't mind this. There is no kettle in the room, and you have to pay for tea/coffee/hot water at the hotel. Breakfast was ordinary and not really worth the money. That all said, we didn't mind staying there. We had a good rest when we were there. The internet worked fine and was free. Devamı

I have stayed at everything from dingy, 20-bed-per-room hostels to 5-star hotels, and Qbic fits right in the middle. I am actually very torn about this place. I loved the ability to zip through the check-in process on our own using a touch-screen computer, although because we checked in several hours early we still had to do it with a person. The design […] of the room was great: It was spacious, we loved the "cube," the bed was huge (king) and comfortable, and overall it was very modern with funky Amsterdam-style neon lights and interesting furniture. The location was perfect since I was there for a conference at the RAI, one stop away on the Metro or a 15-minute walk across a pretty park; in the opposite direction, it was only one 4-minute stop away from the airport on the train. Even the Centraal Station, the "hub" of Amsterdam where international trains come in and around which most of the nightlife, museums and the Red Light District exist, was only 15 minutes away on the Metro. All that said, there were some major downsides to the hotel. It was noticeably understaffed -- the most workers I ever saw in the hotel at once was two, and usually only the one "front desk" person, who was often running around doing errands other than manning the lobby. Perhaps as a result of this, the hotel as a whole and my room in particular were filthy. In fact, it wasn't until the third morning we were there that someone actually came to make up our room, despite leaving the "Please make up my room" tag on the door handle and requests at the lobby to send someone to clean (the first two days we were told, in the early afternoon, that the cleaner had already gone home for the day). The situation must have been fairly widespread as several other rooms in my corridor consistently had piles of dirty towels that sat outside their doors day and night, untouched. Really great hotel, clean, fresh, modern, great room, it was fun and different. The hotel was tricky to find, but once you get it, its unbelievably useful -right next to a metro station (which is silent), right next to trams, (which again, you cannot hear), and little deli/shops for snacks and a place to grab a coffee. Once I physically located the hotel (the web site map didn't do it for me), I was absolutely delighted with the comforts & service at the hotel. It was better than the web pictures. The hotel is very fun and modern--perfect for young travelers and couples. A great lobby with tv, vending, free internet access, books to borrow, etc. is a really welcoming spot and great place to mingle. Desk staff were great and helped with any questions. I was warned before by customer reviews but tried nevertheless. Arriving on a Sunday by car, the hotel was very difficult to find. Almost no signs tell you where to go, neither inside the WTC nor outside. The WTC was totally locked, and the parking security guy was seriously insane. Parking was Euro 29 per night, and the check-in lady said "This is […] Amsterdam". Sorry, but then hotel.com needs to say "Parking available for Euro 29" instead of "Parking available"! Check-in was not possible before 3 pm. Many hotels say so, but almost all hotels allow check in anyway, right when a room is ready. Not Qbic, they are weird in their policies. Also, breakfast is 10 Euros. Hey, guys, say so on your website! Most other hotels (in Europe) have free breakfast, and in the U.S., you at least get free coffee..... The A/C of the hotel room could not be controlled, i.e get colder (it was the hottest day in Amsterdam in the year!). The lights in the hotel room could not be controlled, i.e. to regular white light instead of red light. The TV set could not be twisted some degrees to be watched outside of the bed....and yes, the bathroom has no doors. I was alone, so it didn't matter, but if I had my family with me? Devamı

The Qbic ended up being a great place to stay--clean, new, and fun. When you get to Amsterdam Centrall Station, just take the number 5 tram to the World Trade Center stop and you are feet away! It isn't too far from the center city, either, we actually walked back and forth several times.

This hotel is ideal for a short stay and for those that dont mind a bit of local travel to get to places of interest. Tram 5 stops 150m away and goes right through all the main points to the Central station. The area is quite upmarket and semi residential but there are no shops or nightlife locally (500m). The rooms are medium sized, very comfortable […] beds and minimalist in style, nice shower and of course the bed disco lights are good fun. The hotel is alright. The location is south of amsterdam, easy access with the metro and the tram though. The bed is very comfy but the bathroom is poorly designed. The hotel is situated within the World Trade Centre, which is pretty cool! You can wander round it, and take the lift to the top floor to see the views. Although the hotel is situated miles out of central Amsterdam in the finance district, this is not a problem at all as there is a train station 2 minutes from the hotel which goes to central Amsterdam […] and the airport, and a tram stop literally on the door step if you leave via the WTC exit (which in itself is very cool, to be able to wander through the WTC!) which also goes direct to central Amsterdam via all the places you'll want to go to, very convenient. There are also cashpoints in the WTC. It's a really nice area too, very clean and quiet, we felt safe at all times. The hotel is very funky, we quite like the green lighting in the corridors! We chose a room with a window, and although we were told these are smaller than those inside with no windows, it was way bigger than most hotel rooms we have used. The bed was really comfy and huge, although the pillows were awful. We asked for extra pillows but it made little difference, all the stuffing moves and goes to the top and you wake with neck ache, which was made worse with more pillows! The mood lighting around our bed didn't work, which was quite disappointing, but as we knew the novelty would have worn off quite quick anyway we didn't bother to make a fuss. The bathroom was functional. It got soaked while using the shower but it wasn't too much of a problem as we just put a towel on the floor. The biggest problem was there was nowhere to put a towel to keep it dry, no hooks or rails. And a little shelf to put your shampoo, sponge etc would have been nice as it had to go on the floor. But these are just small niggles. We didn't have any housekeeping in the 4 nights we were there, we had to go down and ask for clean towels on the 3rd day as by then they were all soaked from mopping up water from the floor! Don't expect a great hotel. Luxury is not what you will get. But it is clean, quiet, has good beds, very helpful staff, excellent connection to the airport (7min by train) and okay connection to the city centre (20min by tram). There aren't any eating place around. It is one minute walk from the train station and two minutes from the tram station. I can see how the open bathroom (no door) may be an issue for some. However, the shower is absolutely fabulous, better than in most 4* hotels. The hotel was located near the tram and the trains. That was good. But the World Trade Center is dead on weekends. Our room did not have a window (thus the design concept of a box!). The staff was excellent and even ordered a pizza for us. Only one night the night hotel staff member was playing music very loud and we could hear it through the wall.

Nice hotel.Nice rooms. 5 minutes away from the tram and train stations.They offer a decent breakfast for a good price.Very friendly receptionists.The hotel has no sevice or front desk, but the info tells you that on their website and hotels.com website.

When I checked in,it was still so early in the morning, 10am, but the stuff help me get the room at 11:30am even it was full. The room is pretty clean and comfortable. Especially, the wireless internet access is free. Nice hotel and stay.

Not family type hotel

My fiancée and I spent a weekend here in August. Not only was this one of the best priced hotels we found in and around Amsterdam it was also a great hotel. The rooms are funky and comfortable, excellent cleanliness and helpful staff if required. The only slightly strange aspect is the lack of door on the bathroom, not a problem as a couple but maybe […] a little 'intimate' as a group of friends. Location wise it is a little outside of Amsterdam, about 15mins via tram / metro. But it's location in the financial district mean that the transport links are excellent. The tram & metro are both 2 mins walk from the hotel and trains can also be caught at the same station as the metro, which is less than 10mins away. At weekends the area around the hotel is very quiet (I assume it would be in the week to, certainly in the evenings anyway) so you end up with the best of both worlds, fairly close to the centre and quiet for a bit of kip! Only downside is the last tram / metro are around 12.30, which was ok for us but for anyone wanting to enjoy the nightlife into the early hours you'd have to grab a taxi I guess! the hotel is in the world trade center. its a little more in the business area. but to go to all the touristic stuff you are 2 minute walk from trains, and trams, the buses stop right in front. since the hotel is inside the building, late at night someone has to buzz you in but there is always someone. inside the building there are bars and restaurants. […] the public transportation is super easy. all the touristic places are just about 10 minutes away on bus. and a long but nice walk. its an amazing experience. you check in simply with a machine that gives you your key and check out the same way. the little lobby reception is modern with vending machines, coffee machine and fruit and pastries all day for you. and there is always someone to assist you 24/7. staff was super friendly. it was really cold when i went and they gave me a heater. i highly recommend this hotel. the bathroom area was a little uncomfortable with no shower door but its modern and amazing. the bed was so comfortable. its probably the coolest hotel i have ever stayed at. Qbic is a very funky little hotel. We were very impressed with how it looked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty good. The bed was MASSIVE and very comfortable! However, the bathroom had no door, so probably wouldn't share a room with a friend. Also the air conditioning didn't work in our room, so the room got very stuffy […] and was it was almost impossible to get to sleep, as there were no windows that could be opened and no fan and the staff were unable to do anything about it. This hotel needs to be removed from the hotels.com website and placed on a hostel website. It is just horrible; the rooms are nasty, the maid service is awful, and the bathroom doesn't even have a door on it.

We spent a total of six nights at this boutique hotel just outside of Amsterdam’s city center. A 25-minute ride on Tram 5 from Centraal Station, this business clientele-focused hotel, was a good place to stay. Transit connections were very close to the hotel and were easy to use with plenty of friendly GVB personnel nearby to direct your travel questions. The […] lobby was comfortable and the snack machines were very convenient. An internet-ready PC was available in the lobby but the Wifi in the room was even better. The bed was very comfortable and the side chair and desk were very well designed. The various lighting options were nice to have and we did not mind the open bathroom stylings, however, it was a bit cold to shower in the morning. In the future, I will probably stay closer to city center, however, this was a good Amsterdam “starter” hotel in a quiet neighborhood. One drawback is that as the area is primarily a business district, there were few eating/entertainment options available at night and on the weekend. That said, during weekdays, the Albert Heijn convenience store nearby offers a great selection of food and drink. Devamı

Fiquei 3 noites hospedado nesse hotel e gostei muito, hotel limpo e confortavel. A recepcao é bem aconchegante e os funcionario da recepcao super atenciosos e educados. O quarto é bem legal com aquelas luzes coloridas e a internet no quarto é super rapida e gratis. Com certeza me hospedaria novamente no Qbic hotel.

Udemærket hotel til prisen. Let at komme ind til byen, værelserne var fine og rene.

Hotel is modern style and suitable for young couple, staff are nice and helpful as well. The room was unexpected big in size, and lightening is fresh to us that we never been the hotel room like it. Trevligt och fräscht hotell en bit utanför centrala Amsterdam men med bra spårvägs förbindelser och nära till flygplatsen! Prisvänlig och rekommenderas!

Bra hotell med spennende rom løsning. Kort vei til sentrum med trikk eller tog. Rolig område litt utenfor sentrum. Hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening. God og enkel frokost.

Rimelig og greit hotell, dersom du bare skal sove der. Lite rom med én stor seng og lite plass for oppbevaring av klær og annet. Til dusj og WC-rom er det bare en døråpning, men ingen dør. Frokost må bestilles dagen før og koster ekstra, 10 Euro. Morgenkaffe kan du få gratis. Det er godt. Kort vei, ca 4 min, til metro og tog stasjon Amsterdam Zuid. […] Rengjøring av rommet er ikke inkludert i prisen, men kan bestilles ekstra. Skift av håndklær og tømming av søppelkurv på badet inngår.
