Very friendly welcoming staff; quiet location (in May); but still convenient for visiting Budva which appeared to be much busier!

We thought we had booked a "standard room" with a double bed in a 4 star hotel. We got 2 two foot wide single beds with wooden sides, shoved together in a room that was barely eight foot across. The small balcony had a fine view of a concrete wall just a few feet away. The bathroom was very cramped, the shower had a plastic curtain, and there was no […] air extraction. The room furniture was cheap; the minibar was a small empty fridge, the tv was a small portable crt, the two chairs and table were garden furniture. This was 2 star standard at best. A move to another room was not possible. The included breakfast was the worst I have ever had in a hotel, 4 star or otherwise. The orange liquid bore no resemblance to orange juice, both the tea and the coffee were lukewarm and atrociously weak, soft-boiled eggs came way undercooked and almost cold. We ended up just eating the bread. The tablecloths were dirty, and the chewing gum on the windowsill at my side seemed to symbolise it all! The hotel is centrally located in Petrovac, just 2' away from the main waterfront promenade. Staff are friendly, flexible, always available and speak understandable, if fluent, English. We received a complimentary parking lot in a private area. Had a room with sea view, on one side, and pine trees on the other side, neat and clean. Breakfast was just […] fine, although tables were assigned by room number and we had to share our with another group of four (though all other tables were empty). While arriving late we have been served breakfast nonetheless. Check-out at 10am (quite early) but extended with no fee and no problem, just at the price of a smile. Room cleaned neatly each day - clothes bent and reposed in the cupboard. We felt so well that we decided on extending our stay. Swimming pool always available, no mosquitoes in the area, bar 24/7. In a good location just 2 minutes from the beach and restarants, but in a quiet spot at the edge of town close to a forested hill. Small but nice pool. Young and friendly staff. No noise so perfect for those who like a quiet time. Small criticisms - the room safe didn't work and the staff couldn't fix it. The air-conditioning was not operational. OK […] for us in June as we had a cool room at the back, but in July and August it would be too hot without it. Got the impression the management had not authorised the system to be switched on just yet. Oh, and the advertised roof terrace was not available for some reason. This hotel provides excellent service. It has specific rules regulating loud activities after hours, and smoking is not allowed inside. It is in a nice quiet location right by the beautiful pine forest, and at the same time it is close to the beach. There are not that many breakfast options, and it would be great if they could add at least one choice […] of fruit and vegetable and real orange juice to the menu. I'd recommend this hotel and am already planning a return. It's very close to the beach (a 2 min walk) and has comfortable rooms and plentiful breakfast. We travelled in October, and the hotel was still nice & warm despite the cool nights outside. Minor negatives - There was no lift, so we had to trudge up the stairs. Petrovac was a really nice place but the beach has pebbles which are a little tough on the feet. The hotel is close to the harbour and behind is a mature forest.It is convenient to restaurants, beach and a supermarket .The Hotel staff are all friendly and spoke good English.The room is very clean and spacious.A curtain was missing from my room other wise no complaints. There is free WI FI in reception area.

I know it's off season. But, even one customer, hotel should provide warm environment for customer. It was unusual cold weather. But there was no air conditioning or heating at all. My two daughter had a cold now.

Because of late chek in we received the bigest and the "best" apartment from hotel. It was on the ground floor, very old furniture, very old bed and couch. Also the bathroom was looking insanitary. No carpets on the floor and a lot of dust on low acesibility places. this was a great hotel for the price... it was really close to the beach and the staff was all very pleasant. Bar is very expensive and this town was the perfect solution for those who want to be close to the action but not right inside it

We found the hotel staff, particularly the girls on reception and pool boys, to be extremely helpful and pleasant - in fact the best we encountered whatever the class of hotel we stayed at throughout the trip. I would recommend this hotel any time, especially for families with children. >The location is perfect, the breakfast was very good, the rooms convenient with a possibility to cook food in the little kitchenette. Just 5 min from the beach. Many restaurants in the nearby area. Really nothing to complain about.

- sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverh.!!!( große saubere Zimmer, sehr freundliches Service-Personal,kleiner aber gepflegter Pool, Frühstück- leider kein Buffet aber trotzdem ausreichend, Entfernung zum Strand ca 150m- ist ok, im Umkreis von 1 km viele Konobas (Restaurants) - wir können dieses Hotel empfehlen

Отель расположен в тихом месте, почти в лесу. В то же время совсем недалеко набережная и пляж. В целом впечатления от "Даницы" положительные. Для меня из очевидных минусов только однообразное меню. Думаю, вернулся бы туда еще.

My wife and I spent 8 nights in Danica (pronounced danitsa) in AUG2011. Hotel approx 3 mins walk from the nearest beach. We had a medium sized room on 4th floor. A/C, nice bathroom, comfortable twin bed, small TV with approx 60 channels from several European countries, incl CNN and Sky News. No elevator. No verandah. Room cleaning good. Breakfast is […] not buffet - you choose from a menu (various types of eggs, sausages, müssli, etc). No internet in room, but free wi-fi in reception/restaurant area. Small swimming pool. Extremely friendly staff. You can expect staff to approach you and give all the advices you need. Their friendlyness is far above expectations and one of the best things about Htl Danica. Free parking for guests. The nearest beach is the city beach. It's pretty crowded. Price for 2 beach beds w/parasol EUR15. Plenty of restaurants with reasonably prices and good service. Excellent fish dishes. If you have a car, consider Buljarica beach - 5 mins by car (or 40 mins by foot). This is a bigger and nicer beach, less crowded. In Buljarica you pay EUR8 for 2 beach beds w/parasol, and incl 2 drinks at your choice. Beach restaurant serves cheap, tasty burgers and pizzas. You may also reach famous Sveti Stefan by car. But note that you may not enter the island - the whole island is an upscale Greek-run hotel. Do also note that beach beds around Sveti Stefan are expensive - price for 2 beds from EUR30 to EUR150(!) per day. And the beach there is nothing special... Htl Danica is situated in Petrovac, a small town. Plenty of tourist here, but not like Budva. Petrovac is a very decent place, many families here. We would by all means recommend Petrovac to Budva. From Petrovac you may take new boat trips and other excursions, including day trips to Albania. The mountains will start right behind Htl Danica. 15 mins by car, and you are up at 700 metres elevation. Lake Skadar (National Park) will be reached within 30 mins by car. В июле 2011 г. мы отдыхали в отеле Danica. Искали тихое место у моря в окружении соснового бора и гор. По отзывам отель Danica соответствовал нашим требованиям. Первое впечатление было приятным. Отель представлял собой красивое здание, утопающее в цветах, одной стороной примыкающее к горе, поросшей соснами. Нас поселили в самый большой сьют, оказавшийся […] на деле обычными апартаментами, правда, неплохого качества. Одна часть номера выходила во двор с бассейном, другая - на террасу со столиками для постояльцев отеля. Весь день в бассейне дети хозяев отеля играли в водное поло. После 7 часов глухих монотонных ударов нам хотелось одного - чтобы эти дети больше читали. Вечером нас ждали еще сюрпризы. Оказалось, что после 11 вечера в новом спа-отеле Monte Casa, расположенном фактически во дворе Danica, начинались шумные дискотеки, продолжавшиеся до глубокой ночи. Также за время нашего отпуска было несколько вечеров, когда управляющий приглашал "серьезных людей" из России (как он их сам называл) и устраивал им ужины при свечах под окнами нашей спальни далеко за полночь. На наши вежливые просьбы проводить эти мероприятия в другом месте или в другое время управляющий реагировал скептически. Т.к. дорогой одежды и статусных атрибутов в отпуск в поселок Петровац мы не взяли, извинений и окончания ужина "серьезных людей" удалось добиться только при помощи "красной книжицы" и краткого экскурса в политическую систему России. Впредь подобные встречи заканчивались ровно в полночь. Персонал отеля был очень приветливым, улыбчивым и дружелюбным. Правда, толка от разговоров с ними было, как от общения с куклами, которые умеют улыбаться и кивать. Они улыбались и кивали, а сами продолжали ничего не делать. Например, мы просили убрать от нашей двери стол с пепельницей (пологавшийся нам в связи с отсутствием балкона), т.к. он был излюбленным местом курения для многих постояльцев. Accueil plutôt satisfaisant mais ce n'est pas du 4* .... même au Monténégro. Chambre assez grande mais peu meublée; Le grand lit annoncé se transforme en deux petits lits côte à côte avec, pour chacun, un drap à peine assez grand ; il faut savoir dormir sans remuer un orteil !! Tout est fait à l'économie;(demi serviette en salle de bain); petit déjeuner […] pas copieux... Par ailleurs avoir , dans la chambre, la liste détaillée des prix à payer pour dégradation de chaque ustensile est peut être logique et utile mais confine à la mesquinerie. (Cela rappelle les locations meublées du bon vieux temps où la propriétaire comptait les cuillères et les verres ébréchés). Ne parlons pas de la vue, très limitée. Были в этой гостинице с 29 апреля по 8 мая. У гостиницы очень удобное расположение - близко от пляжа, при этом она находится в стороне от центральных "прогулочных" улиц, что бережет от шума. Персонал очень приветлив и всегда готов помочь. В общем рекомендую. Единственное - завтраки однотипны, но нам даже это не очень мешало :)
