Carlton Motel Long Beach - Long Beach

This motel had no dressers, closets, end tables, phone. The lighting SUCKS!!! (good luck doing your makeup girls) and the floors were filthy.

A great service with friendly and accommodating staff. I would recommend this place highly. Easy to find and great access to the freeway so you can easily get everywhere by car. There are also good local walks and bus stops close by. Well worth a visit.

Stay was OK but small but adequate room for a very short stay. No room for much luggage especially anything that needs to hang (no closet). For large family traveling on the cheap this might work.

We booked the deluxe room according to the pictures. Rooms are nothing like shown in the pictures, completely misled. Dirty and old. Bed sheets are completely faded with little flowers on them, looked like old sheets that were second hand. The owner was rude when we requested to change rooms. This hotel staff is very friendly. We looked for hours for a hotel that accepted dogs and this is far the best for dog friendly hotels. They supplied our dog with treats, a bed, and a bowl for food and water. I'd recommend it for any dog lovers out there.

For what I paid for it was worth it I guess this is just a motel nothing romantic about it. The towels where dingy I had to buy my own the lights flickered the wifi was terrible. The hot water would go in and out at times and my toilet got clogged when I asked the guy for help he directed me to the plunger outside by the vending machine so I did it […] myself. Reviewed other comments before taking this hotel. Found room very comfortable and traffic noise minimal and nonexistant at night. Bathroom was very roomy and room and linen was always clean. From the pictures I thought this hotel would be decend enough to stay at but after arriving I could tell right away they advertised something completely different. Even the color of the buildings and signs were different!!! The sheets were at least ten years old and full of hair. The smell was like mold and rotted wood together. The place was sick the pillows were completely stained and blankets were full of holes. we had to pay even tough we didnt stay more than 15 min! the office did not even have a phone to discuss the matter or even an English speaking employee. The newly renovated rooms are amazing. The couch and throw in front of the windows are great to use after a long day to relax in front of the tv. Amazing location. Good service and met all my needs. Wonderful price!!

The hotel advertised the following 1. Queen pillow top mattress, it was not only not pillow top but it felt like sleeping on a slab of cement. The pillows were hard as rocks. When I inspected the mattress it was obviously the mattresses that are rewrapped after being discarded by it's owner. 2. Refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The refrigerator […] leaked water and looked like it had been rescued from the junk pile. There was no microwave or coffee maker. When the owner/manager was asked about them he curtly replied "there isn't any". 3.There was no advertised blow dryer. 4. Wired and wireless WiFi were nonexistent. Designer toiletries were the filthiest towels, which looked like they scrubbed the blacktop with. The toilet moved around like it was on rollerskates. 5. The breakfast advertised was nonexistent. The owner/manager was so rude from check-in to checkout. Although I paid for two nights I Checked out the next day with a backache and sore hips from tossing and turning all night long. I confronted him about his- false advertisement and his reply was "uh hum". I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This Motel was the worst thing I have ever seen. I'm disgusted that Expedia doesn't look into the hotels they recommend! I was here for 3 nights at the motel on business. Its a clean quite small little place. Rooms are nice and seem to be new. There is one way in and one way out so i felt safe knowing that anyone coming or going passes thru the front desk. We had a nice time at this motel and the staff was very nice. Nice clean place, love the decor of the room and the wood floors. They have huge LED TVs in the rooms and free bottled water everyday!!! We stayed here for 5 nights and it was awesome, could have not asked for a better experience while we were in Long Beach. The colors were adorable but the paint job was sloppy. I notice these things. The sheets had not been changed (thank god I brought all my own bedding). There was not any soap available: I brought that too. It was all about convenience for me.

This was a dreadful, man in the booth unwelcoming &rude. Tried to explain an issue with booking online but he chose to not listen &walk away. After setting up to spend the night he cared nothing else but that i should make sure to leave by 11a, while getting things out of my car.

The Motel had a very bad odder inside of the room. On the second night of the stay I found a huge cockroach in my food bag. I was very disappointed because the review were good for this Motel. When I confronted the owner about the cockroach he blamed it on me and said it must have got in when I had the door open. The first day I arrived, I signed in and me and my girlfriend got the room key and settled in. The sheet was stained with a yellow spot, the bed described to me was suppose to be queen, but instead the bed was a full. The room is small but if not planning to stay there long but to sleep than is okay. Next morning manager of the hotel who is also the […] guy that works front desk because I was not suppose to have a guess. When in te hotel rules he has you are allowed to bring 1 extra person and in other hotels up to 2 guests. We had to call Expedia to get it fixed because he wanted to charge me for my guests. He was rude and gave us bad looks. He wouldn't speak to me. Because I wasn't lady with the money. When we left in the morning he was there looking and coming back late night he was starring. Ee felt uncomfortable and not wanted and cleaning ladies er nice. But not the manager. Hotel is okay to crash but not to hang out there. Worst place I've ever stayed!!! When I booked the hotel and flight it said free breakfast and queen bed. Instead I got a full size bed and they didn't serve breakfast. The gave complementary water which were 4 ounces and one time only. Last day when having to check ur he knocked at our door and sternly said checkout at 11 am and walked off..
