Hampton Inn Schenectady - Schenectady

The hotel lobby was nicer than my room, the room was okay; the shower was lacking, as was the amenities. I did not feel it was worthy of the price paid for it; the location was really the thing. The front desk ladies were very informative, friendly, and helpful, especially Shameena and her co-worker.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a pleasant and helpful staff. The pool area was nice as well. Would recommend this hotel for business or leisure in Schenectady. Only one block from Proctors.

I have stayed here before and will again. A bit pricey...but it is really the nicest place in Schenectady...place, not just hotel! One thing I wish they would do...put GLASSES in the room instead of paper cups. Hard to drink a cocktail out of a paper cup... walk to restaurants and Union College. Went to see a show at Proctors without realizing hotel is right next door. Hotel was in great shape with a very helpful staff. Pool/whirlpool area was nice except it was missing a changing room. Had to change in the public restroom down the hall and walk to pool area. Workout room is clean, has basic equipment to keep up fitness routine. Hot buffet […] breakfast in the a.m. was a great bonus. Surrounding neighborhood not great, but was fine to walk around during the day time. Devamı

I grew up in Schenectady, so I know there's not much here, but the downtown area has improved. Other than a few more agressive homeless people, it's pretty safe and there are several great bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries within a few blocks of this hotel, plus Proctors Theater and a movie theater. The walls are a bit thin and an argument […] between a couple woke me up at 5 AM, but the hotel responded quickly. There isn't much street noise at night. I didn't use the pool, hot tub, or gym, but they looked nice. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was keeping my room cool (I was there in winter and the heat had been turned up, so I turned it off, but since the a/c doesn't run in winter and the window only opens a crack, it was nearly impossible to cool down and keep cool). The price of the room was also high for what you get, but there are few other good options in the area. Overall I enjoyed my stay and unless they raise their rates, I will stay here again. Devamı

Nice new hotel. Typical for Hampton Inn. Great wireless. good breakfast. Downtown Schenectady is not the greatest, but this is in the middle of it with a few good restaurants within walking distance and some bars in the immediate area. Plenty of parking. will always stay here in the future

I usually enjoy staying at Hampton Inns. They are typically comfortable and easy going, with free wifi when you need it, comfortable beds, complimentary breakfast and 24/7 coffee and tea. The Hampton Inn in Schenectady was no exception, it met all of my typical expectations. It was well situated to right next to a large movie theater and playhouse as […] well as a number of food establishments. All you have to do is walk out the front door and all of these attractions are right there. Schenectady is probably not the most exciting place to visit, but if you are there for family, business or other, I do recommend this Hampton Inn. They do provide free gated parking to all residents which is nice given the lack of parking space on the surrounding streets. Devamı

Very nice, clean and modern hotel. Service was great. Location to restaurants and theater in the city was excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The only issue I had with this hotel was the pillows on our King size bed. They were rather small despite the size of the bed. Otherwise, our stay was excellent. Employees were nice, helpful, considerate. Food at the breakfast was delicious, the hotel was clean and well maintained.

We stayed at the Hampton over Memorial Day weekend while driving back to Boston from Ithaca. I generally like Hamptons and had high expectations that were mostly met. The staff was friendly enough, the room was fairly large and extremely clean. The bedding was really nice and comfortable. The view was crappy, but that didn't really matter. We used the […] pool twice (once in the evening and once in the morning) and both times pretty much had the place to ourselves. My 3 year old had a great time. When heading out to dinner the front desk person had made fresh chocolate chip cookies and they were DIVINE! Lots of restaurants nearby and a movie theatre on the corner made it a fun night. The immediate area was pretty cute albeit deserted on the Sunday/Monday of Memorial Day. Only negatives I would say were that one of the two phones in the room didn't work (but we had another one, so eh), and the scrambled eggs at breakfast were very dry. It didn't matter though because the waffle maker was more than enough and the friendly staff member brought out hard-boiled eggs too, which my kid prefers anyway. Definitely recommend! Devamı

We were there for a baby shower, and, never having been to Schenectady, I imagined something akin to Allentown., PA. So I was humbled to realize that it was a truly nice little town ! The room was very nice! When we left, I was even more surprised when the chambermaid came out to the parking lot to give me a movie camera I had left in the room. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms large and clean. My teen son and I shared a room during recent visit to see Union College - we both remarked at how great the hotel was. They also recommended a great restaurant for dinner - Aperitivos!

My wife and I spent one night at the Hampton Inn and we absolutely loved it! The location couldn't have been any better. We went to Proctor's Theatre which was literally 60 feet away. Great breakfast in the morning, nice workout facilities, and the overall cleanliness are just a few things to highlight. There are some great places nearby to have a […] casual drink also. The Hotel was wonderful. The Staff was super helpful. The rooms extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, oatmeal, waffles, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage. For the price, I couldn't get a better deal.

This hotel was perfect in every way. I can't think of one single tiny thing to complain about. Very clean, the bed is so comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. It was a "hot" continental breakfast featuring scrambled eggs, a different breakfast meat each morning, potatos, and all the expected continental breakfast items. the hotel was very clean, staff friendly and a great location for some local dining. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed in schenectady for a wedding. Location was great for proximity to the wedding. Looked like there were a few other nice restaurants nearby, but didn't have time to investigate that. Not difficult to get to from the freeway. Very clean, very comfortable beds. would definitely stay there again.

very new, very clean, nice staff. i would recommend this hotel to anyone. the only thing was that the price was higher than everything else in the area. after staying there, it was well worth it.

Stayed here while attending University at Albany's Parents' Weekend. Perfect location. Walked 8 buildings down from hotel for dinner at a bistro. Only about a 15 minute or so easy drive to and from campus. Will definitely stay again. Brand new and lavishly decorated. Breakfast was both hot & cold foods and good. The only problem for us was that we had booked a smoking room & the entire building is non-smoking. Your fault, not theirs! Downtown location and definitely more geared to business travelers than to vacationers or families.

Wir haben das Hotel Hampton Inn in Schenectady als Stopp zwischen den Niagara Fällen und Boston gewählt. Es ist ruhig gelegen, hat sehr gepflegte, saubere Zimmer, einen schönen gemütlichen und großen Frühstücksraum mit einem für amerikanische Verhältnisse guten Frühstück mit u.a. Rührei und Speck und sogar frischem Obstsalat. Auch der Fitnessraum sah […] sehr gepflegt aus, ist aber klein. Das Schwimmbad ist ebenfalls sehr sauber und gepflegt. Ganz in der Nähe ist ein Kino und auch ein Subway. Alles in allem ein absolut gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr zu empfehlen. Devamı
