Hillside Inn at Killington - Killington

For the price you can't go wrong my only complaint was the pillows even with two it felt as if my head were on the mattress.

The Hotel is in a great location, we checked in @ 6 PM and it seemed like we were bothering the Owner by chekcing in. Not friendly by any means! My son thought that the place was great. He went up to ski @ Killington for two nights. Loved the breakfast (waffle machine). Met all of his needs and the location was just what he wanted.

We stayed at the Hillside Inn for three nights in March. Reading some of the past reviews I was nervous about what to expect. But, this was a great motel at a good value for a restful nights stay. If you need a reasonable place to sleep at a decent price near to the ski hill then this place is fine. If you want any hotel amenities what so ever, look elsewhere (But you will pay bigger $$). Ski - sleep - ski.

Parking was a joke! Went to check out at 7:30 AM and office was closed. The room had many conflicting odors that were difficult to take. Appeared clean.Shower open to sink changing are was good idea, but only a curtain for noise. Lights blinked and TV was fuzzy. For the price it was expected.

For ski bums looking for a no Frills, reasonably priced hotel, with free breakfast on the Killington access rode, can't beat this deal. Beds comfy, hot water, fridge and microwave. Brought my 2 pre-teen kids, too.

This is a discount hotel right near the mountain; if you want luxury, this is not the place. If you want an affordable, clean, well staffed hotel right near on Killington road, this is it. Recently spent one night at this hotel. The temperature outside was extremely cold. The room door was very drafty which made the room colder than I like at night. You could not control the heat. The beds were comfortable though and the bathroom area was roomy. For people who would like to stay at the Killington Grand and just didn't find the room there, this will probably not be good enough. However, for those who like to get a decent place to sleep for a good price, this is a really good place. It is located on the access road, which means you're a short drive to Snowshed / Ramshead. I don't ever stay at […] high end hotels, which means I never stay at the best of the best. I don't see the point of spending so much money for a hotel. That's why I picked the Hillside Inn for my stay. If you simply want a place to sleep for a good price, then you're like me. Their continental breakfast was pretty good compared to other hotels that I normally stay. There were plenty of the basics to get you going. If you would like to eat something great, go to Johnny Boy's Pancake, a bit further up the road. Their parking situation is weird. There are more rooms than nearby parking spaces. However, a short walk gets you back to the building. It's called the "Hillside" Inn, which means there are no natural large flat areas for a parking lot. Hence the parking lots at multiple locations at multiple elevations. If you are at Killington to ski and you complain about their parking lots, then you really need more exercise. I'm in bad shape (read fat) and it worked out well for me. Devamı

This hotel is actually a motel. Bare essentials maybe a little less. Parking is a battle. The lot fills quick & optional parking is far long cold walk. No elevators, so if on 3rd floor climb is not bad, but lugging gear is. It is located at 1st quarter mile of access road. Nothing special! Was clean. Bath Towels are small. Room cleaning must be requested. […] No individual heat/hvac controls for room, so management sets the temperature, which was ok, but no place to dry wet ski gloves?? Minimal electrical outlets... Hotel has WI-FI unlike what expedia reports. Heated floors - awesome Intelligent bathroom set up - very efficient allowing 3 people to use at the same time; with privacy Studio style kitchen with microwave, fridge, sink and cabinets - no silverware Good amount of space to hang clothes in three different spots - bring your own hangers Awesome walk in […] shower, hot, strong. Much better than bath tub. Decent breakfast, crowded in the morning, it is a small area for such volume of people. Parking can be tough in the winter, too small. The owner wants to expand but Vermont wont let him. Access road can be slippery after a snow storm, they should do a better job with plow and salt. No elevators for 2nd and 3 floor; keep that in mind. The location is very good; in between two resorts and near many restaurants. Quiet, a little away from the main road. Very OK place in an overpriced area (at least during ski season). Kind of sad what you get for your dollar but who can afford $400/night places when skiing is already expensive? Shuttle only runs once an hour and the breakfast was bare bones.

This is a no-frills motel experience...okay if you don't want to spend alot of money on lodging. In my reservation, I requested handicapped access for my Dad. Expedia was supposed to call to set up this handicapped access. Hillside Inn said Expedia never confirmed handicapped access and gave us a room on the second floor. Inn was completely booked and […] there were no other rooms available on first floor. In addition, parking is so bad! We parked in the handicap spot the first day, but the second day, someone else had parked there...who did not have a handicapped placard or license plate. We notified the owners of the Inn who said they would call the owners of the vehicle. The cars were never moved and were still there the next morning. According to VT state police, it is the hotel owners responsibility to call a tow truck to remove the vehicle. This was not done. You have to go to the office for any extras that you need: pillows, soap, TP, tissues. No one will bring these items to you...even when the cleaning staff forgets to replace the empty toilet paper rolls in your bathroom. In addition, we couldn't make coffee in our room as a piece was missing from the coffee maker. Continental breakfast was nice, however, we clearly annoyed the female owner by putting 4 chairs together at one table so our family could eat together. If I were to travel to VT again, I would look for a different hotel to stay in, but if there were no other vacancies, I would stay here again. Devamı

Unfriendly front desk staff. Charge extra for each person in room. Had to get my needed towels myself from front desk. Small TV. Very basic furnishings. Need to have four wheel drive to get up access road in winter!

Very clean, appears newly renovated. Appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. We arrived after a day of hitting the slopes. There were a couple of issues 1) Parking was very limited. Terrible. The facility is not old but the room was dirty and dusty. There was leftovers cookies at the foot of the bed and many hairs in the towel. Please remember this is an Inn and not a hotel. Keep expectations at minimum. I don't stay at Inns, but to accommodate my friends budgets I bit the bullet and reserved a room for the weekend. Once I arrived to my 2 bed room I noticed the smell of curry and I was thankful I brought my plug in air freshner, which I plugged in right away. I immediately […] fold down the top comforter and blanket. I noticed a dead fly under the pillow. I then notice a cluster of dead flies fused together on the window side of the bed. I keep hearing a fly buzzing but thought it was the sound of poor electric work. Walk into the changing area near the shower and notice a dead fly on the floor. I couldn't ask to change rooms since I had used all my disinfecting wipes. I recommend always carrying a few to wipe down door handles, toilet seat, remote, etc. I double checked the other bed I was going to be sleeping in and it was clear and free of dead flies. After about 2 hours the room was cold so I went to the thermostat. I called the front desk and let them know I had no way of controlling the thermostat. He stated the heat was on and had someone bring me a space heater. Typical Continental breakfast. Parking lot is very small so be prepared to do a little bit of walking if you're parking up top. If you're looking for a place to sleep this is your spot. If you're looking for the works I suggest renting a condo or townhouse with full amenities. As picky as I am I don't foresee myself going back there. Devamı
