Great hotel, excellent gym facilities,nice bathroom,comfy beds and room service was good

Highly recommend this hotel. Close to Thomond Park, and a good base for fans both before and after the game. Given Limerick itself is rather run down, and in many places quite seedy, we basically stayed in the hotel and socialised with Munster fans in the Terrace Bar. If returning to Limerick I would definitely stay here again.

As the title says, stylish hotel, also very modern but unfortunately I found the public areas to be in need of a good clean, chrome and glass look fantastic but not covered in hand prints and dirt. Rooms are a good size, appear clean but ever so slightly scruffy, carpet could do with changing, maybe in favour of hardwood floors. Breakfast was varied, […] lots of options, all warm food was at the right temperature, eggs can be cooked to your liking. Coffee adequate hotel standard. The public areas of the hotel were used for a function the night we stayed. The foyer was literally jam packed, we had to fight outer way through, made the place feel unprofessional, like a bar. I chose this hotel as I was brought up on the Ennis Road in the mid 40's and wanted to be close to where it all began so that I could take my daughter down memory lane with me!! Very friendly staff, nice pool and gym; did not eat there so cannot comment on food. Rooms too hot at night without the air conditioning on. Very clean.

everything about this hotel was great, next to the river so a view when outside smoking lol great position just over the bridge from all the shops/bars only moan was bar prices they were expensive even compared to london hotels

We had a good experience here, the prices for food and drink were reasonable and the service fine. The aspect looking across the river at the town is excellent. Recommended, especially out of season when the rates are reduced.

The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk into town. it is very comfortable relaxing and peaceful. The Breakfast is very bland and the rashers were burned. A little more imagination would go along way to creating a good breakfast. However dinner was good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

MY MOTHER AND I WILL NEVER STAY IN THE STRAND EVER AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE CAR PARKING AND WE HAD TO GET CAR PARK TICKETS EVERYTIME WE ENTERED THE CAR PARK.

An unhappy experience.Arived in the middle of a wedding reception,bedlam. Unacceptable noise level that night got to sleep around 3am. Next night a graduation dinner mostly females from a local teacher training college. Simply the noise levels were unbearable we went elsewhere for a drink. We had an excellent 4 night stay in a family room on the 5th floor overlooking the river. The bar and restaurant food was very good, and the service was prompt, cheery and helpful. The food was not overpriced. There was a fairly good health spa, pool, gym, sauna, stream room, but kids were not allowed after 7.30pm. I thought this hotel was very central, very clean and comfortable. The rooms were very big. There was even a small fridge in the bedroom.

The hotel is ideally located to explore Limerick city and has convenient links to Shannon. It's modern, very clean and the rooms are spacious. The beds are very comfortable. All of this should make for an enjoyable stay, but... The sound proofing leaves an awful lot to be desired. I've stayed twice and both times I have had a poor night's sleep because […] of this. On the first visit I was woken up by someone checking in to the adjacent room at 2am. He wasn't making a lot of noise, but any noise that he did make carried through to my room loud and clear. On the second visit I was staying in a room on the fifth floor overlooking the entrance. At 3.30am I was woken up by revellers laughing and shouting outside - the noise was so loud I was convinced that the bedroom window must have been open. I was amazed to find that all windows were securely closed. A quick call to reception solved the problem, but it should not have come to that. A reasonably new hotel should not suffer from such basic flaws. A good night's sleep is of paramount importance to me and a hotel that cannot provide this, regardless of how well it may excel in other aspects, is one that I won't return to or recommend. Devamı

After driving all over Ireland for a week, we needed a comfortable, well located hotel - preferably with internet - this place was perfect! The Strand is amazing, beautiful, clean and the staff was great. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone!

Loved the convenient lift from the parking garage to hotel room. Great location and clean rooms.

LIVED UP TO EXPECTATIONS, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, AND ENJOYED THE LEISURE FACILITIES.

Good location for visiting Limerick city. Lovely views over the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed bedrooms and bathroom ensuites.

Very convenient location just 5 minutes from the city. Room service meals were more than decent. Staff were generally helpful. The automatic setting for the air-condition was annoying though. Woke up several times in the night perspiring as the air-condition turned up considerably. Fellow conference participants staying in the same hotel had the same […] complaint. Do figure out how to switch the air-condition to manual setting. I highly recommend Michael Tierney of Shannon Airport Taxi if you need a taxi. He can be found at the taxi desk at the airport. Very prompt, very friendly and very reassuring - important attributes to a single lady in a foreign land for the first time. Devamı

The hotel is perfectly located but really needs to get a handle on the air con and the standard of cleaning . It was a standard room and was just too hot even with the aircon on full blast. Reception were unhelpful suggesting i close the window to make the air con work better and not sending someone up to check it out as requested. Also as a 2 night […] stay, the room turndown was below average. Have stayed here before and didn't have these issues so maybe just a blip for the Strand. Devamı

The beauty and the comfort of the room exceeded my expectations and the staff was very helpful.

This is a lovely modern hotel on the baniks of the Shannon which has car parking. The facilities are excellent and the service helpful and friendly. We were woken in the night by children running up and down the corridor shouting although this is not really a problem of hotel management.

The hotel, rooms / hallways were dirty. Enjoyed the spa but the locker room was FILTHY!!!!!! Very disappointed.

I travel alot through out europe, and this place is great! From cleanliness, staff, and location. it has u.s adapters in the room for your computer, to an iron and board in it as well. I will defintley tell everyone to stay there.

Easy walk into Limmerick center, good view of the river from our room. Breakfast good, but you need to ask for poached or fried eggs. On the whole would recommend the hotel. Room was comfortable although too warm intially and although we left on the air con to cool it down whilst we were out, this had been switched off by the cleaning staff, so it took […] a while for us to get the room at a temperature we found comfortable. Would be good to have a guide as to where the lift is, as we found it took a while to arrive, so ended up using the stairs most of the time. Not sure what the purpose of having to put your card into a slot to go up is, as anyone could walk up the stairs without a challange. Swimming pool could be warmer, otherwise leisure area good. Stayed at hotel on Bank Holiday for Great Limerick run. Gym and Pool area are very good, Room also of high standard and check in / out was very professional. Only issues to note was during the day the Bar would not show the All-Ireland Under-21 football final from Croke Park on any of its 4 or 5 screens despite requests (bar caters for soccer matches […] not GAA)- and no Resident bar in the evening on a Sunday night of a bank holiday. Every was as it should be. Perfect! Was a tiny bit surprised that parking in the underground car park was not included.

The Limerick Strand hotel is centrally located and a great home base for exploring many Ireland locations. The hotel has a Scandinavian feel (furnishings and decore) with spacious rooms and most conveniences. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was broken items in our room. Specifically, a light fixture, toilet, […] and no cold water in the bathtub. We asked to have them repaired but they were not. This hotel was much better than we anticipated. The location was great, staff extremely helpful and the quality was amazing. The amenities included were great and much more than expected (free wifi, pool, hot tub, saunas, parking only 5 euro a night and the hotel was within walking distance to some cool sites).

i couldn't fault the hotel.. accommodation an service was excellent. We dined in the restaurant and i felt the food and service was poor....the menu was adequate but food lacked taste...and our waitress definitely lacked customer service

I have stayed in this hotel on business several times and have never been disapointed with any facility in the hotel. The staff are helpful, polite and effiecient. I would recomment this hotel against others i have stayed in this area.

I stayed for recent Munster v Australia mid week match. There was a real rugby buzz , and there was the added bonus with the hotel hosting the Australian Team. Excellent facilities (enjoyed my swim next morning before lovely breakfast) and walkable to the Fab Thomond Park Stadium.The night manager Warren deserves a special mention and All the staff […] were exemplary.Top marks- looking forward to next visit. The best hotel I have stayed at for quite a while! Friendly efficient staff, wonderful large rooms with all the facilities required. Wonderful view of the River Shannon and just walk over the bridge to downtown Limerick. I would happily go back. Well done - 5 *****

It was our second stay in the Strand Hotel and we would strongly recommend it to anybody. From check-in to check-out everything was impressive. We just stayed one night this time and only used the restaurant for breakfast. No problems there and we found the Bar staff very good, even when we arrived back late at night. We were only here for one night, but wish it was longer. I really liked that they had a secure parking garage, and the fee was very reasonable. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Our room was great, the view was of the river. The bed was the best, over our two week stay in Ireland, this was by far the most comfortable. Our room was right by the […] elevator so there was a little bit of noise but nothing that was too bad. I would recomend The Strand to anyone staying in Limerick...
