A great hotel with very attentive and accommodating staff who were always plesant and smiled! The hotel in in an old early 20th century office building but dont let that put you off its impressive. We had a room on the forth floor overlooking the street, little traffic but not noticeable with windows closed. The room was large, the bed massive and very […] comfortable. Would have liked tea and coffee facitities in the room for that I need to get going moment first thing. No plug in the bathroom sink which I take to be the usual practice, I had purchased one but left it at home. Sicteki is a good location for most of the sights tourists want to see and most are within walking distance if you can stand the heat!! Tram stop a couple of minutes walk and its two stops to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya. But for us the selling point would be having breakfast [extensive selection and delicious] on the sixth floor with views out over the Bosphorus near Gelata Bridge, and watching all the comings and goings of the ferries, like the M25! Using an Italian computer so unfamiliar of were the correct punctuation keys are! Devamı

A fabulous building in a great location next to the New Mosque, spice bazaar and 2 minutes walk from the tram. Unfortunately, despite this and fantastic looking rooms and lobby, the cleanliness and upkeep is apalling. In our first room, the smell of stagnant water from the bathroom and air conditioning was unbearable. In the second room (after moving […] due to the smell), the water from the tap and bath was visibly green showing why bathplugs are not standard issue in this hotel. I would definitely not recommend this hotel unless they do some serious work on their water supply and drainage system. Staff were also not particularly swift when it came to assisting, and certainly were not up to the standard you would expect from a 5 star. If you are staying at this hotel, also be prepared to walk for a good 5 minutes on arrival as the taxi probably won't be able to drive in front of the hotel and you will be dropped at the end of the road. I would recommend this hotel mainly because of how central it was too all the attractions. The greeting from the porters and reception was very good, likewise the staff in the dining room were pleasant. What i would not rate was the rooftop bar, the staff member working the night we went in there firstly did not bother to come over to serve us despite […] the fact that there was only 2 other guests in there, he could not understand what my partner wanted to drink so he gave up and had what i had and finally when we came to pay he had to leave the bar and was gone for over 5 mins in order to produce the bill then disappeared again with the money only to come back and tell us he could not give us any change! The only real complaint was that the shower and the bathroom were too small... Location is great, breakfast is decent, room is generally clean and the hotel is well maintained. They called us a cab for the airport and the staff was quite friendly.

I was rather concerned about some of the reviews I read about this hotel before booking my reservation there, but went ahead and took a chance because of its ideal location in the cultural center of Istanbul. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was actually there (I spent a total of 9 nights). The hotel is actually very nicely kept and has a wonderful […] spa and their breakfast (included) is delightful. All I can say is that most of the unflattering reviews I read about this hotel are grossly exaggerated, and probably vindictive in nature; maybe even by the same individual or individuals involved. Who knows; the hotel and its staff are wonderful. I strongly recommend it to any one desiring to stay in a classy hotel in the center of Istanbul's cultural district. Devamı

We arrived at this hotel having been evacuated from Cairo - so not the best circumstances for a visit. On the first night we were given inner rooms which were too hot. Reception was very helpful and changed the rooms. Reception was also helpful in printing onward travel documents. Wifi worked brilliantly. Location is excellent

Room was not clean. Some furniture in room was broken. Mold in bathroom. Very noisy, you may hear let say cough from neighboring rooms. AC did not work. Breakfast area window was with superb view, but window itself was dirty. However lobby is beautiful, staff very gentle. Definitely not even 3*. I agree for 2 stars only because of front office and security's […] professionalism. The location is excellent and the building has some history which might be a plus for people interested in Turkish hisory and architecture as myself. Unfortunately, this is almost all upside there is. Hotel rooms are poorly maintained - we went in a company of friends, occupying 4 rooms and each room had a material defect. Rooms facing the inner courtyard […] were overheated with airconditioning only adding heat, the only option was to open the window into the courtyard which is an echoing marble well with reception desk right in the middle - you can hear EACH phonecall and every footstep on the marble floor below, there is no way to sleep in this environment. My room was located in the corner and fortunately had windows facing the street (so it was easy to bring the room temperature down - given that it was early January), but htere was something awfully wrong with sound-proofing: you could hear every conversation in the adjacent room as if the preson speaking was lying next to you on the pillow! Speaking of location - be prepared that the hotel is in the area restricted for traffic, you will have to walk 1-2 blocks if you arrive by taxi or third-party airport transfer (including the one offered by Expedia). Use hotel's transfer service. Summing up - this is definitely not a 5-star hotel, its only plus is its location and the only way it's worth staying at is at a deeply discounted rate. Devamı

We were asked to wait for 2 hours when we arrived, only to be given wrong rooms. We booked Executive Rooms and the reception staff unfortunately tried to con us! We had to speak to the Reception Manager, then the Customer Service Manager, then to the General Manager for something to be done. We were given 1 Executive Room (with the worst view possible) […] and another small room for the first night. We got our Executive Rooms the next day only! This was extremely unfortunate because other than that the trip (and the Hotel) were very good. I noticed that this "Room Changing Business" was common in this hotel as many guests fell to the same trap as we did. My advice is to call the hotel before you go to check your room is going to be available, and if the Reception Staff try to play this game on you then do not accept and make it as hard as possible for them...ask to see their manager, GM, etc. Good Luck! The hotel probably was a very nice 5 star hotel 30 years ago, but it has not been maintained properly. Hotels.com should downgrade the star rating on objective measures such as no concierge, no valet and no turn down service, not to mention mold in the showers, broken windows in the breakfast area, stinky pool area, and general need for paint and repairs. […] Also, wifi service requires flash for log-in, good luck Apple users. A great location to explore Istanbul from, in teh 'Golden Horn' area close to Blue Mosque and Spice Market. Room was basic about UK 3 star really. Hotel is OK, great view over the Bosporus from the restaurant. Be warned though very noisy air con and very loud discos (6th floor) over the weekend if wedding parties are being held - impossible to sleep […] until the early hours. Devamı

Der var fin service, og jeg blev faktisk opgraderet. Selve hoteller er fint, og en smuk udsigt fra restauranten, hvor der også er morgenmad.Værelserne er lidt slidte og der var kæligt (April). Samtidig er vandet i hanen grumset, og internettet var langsomt.

Our stay was okay, the first impression was very good, but it didn't stay that good all through. The man in the reception said he upgraded us to a superior suite, but that was what we ordered from the beginning.. The room was clean and ok, the breakfast was really great with a fantastic view. When we left the hotel our son forgot his Ipod on the bed, […] and as soon as we noticed it I called the hotel, wich was about 2 hours after check-out (on the airport). They said that they checked everywhere but that it wasn't in the room. The only thing is that we all know it was forgotten on the bed, so somebody took it... The staff I spoke to didn't seem to take i so seriously, didn't even say she was sorry. So we won't choose that hotel again, and we can't reallt recommend it. Devamı

Het hotel heeft de grandeur van een 5* hotel, maar niet de service. Het personeel spreekt niet of heel gebrekkig engels. Brengt gewoon iets anders dan je bestelt. In het restaurant was 1 kapotte kaart beschikbaar voor alle gasten. In de kamer waren bij aankomst nogal wat gebreken. De tv werkte niet, om bij de inroomsafe te komen moest je eerst het bed […] verplaatsen om vervolgens te constateren dat de battery op was en de wastafel in de badkamer lekte. Na klagen werden 2 van de 3 klachten verholpen. Jammer was dat het aangeboden kopje thee bij vertrek als compesatie in de 20 min dat we op de taxi wachten nooit kwam. Devamı

Het hotel is ideaal gelegen, op loopafstand van de Grand Bazaar, de boten om op alle gedeeltes te komen. 't Hotel zou wel wat naar deze tijd gerestyled mogen worden, maar wb de ligging is die ideaal ! Het is er erg warm, (verwarming). De mensen willen het wel allemaal netjes en goed doen , om het naar je zin te maken.

отель очень понравился. Встречали в ресторане отеля НГ,обслуживание, меню. развлекательная программа все очень понгравилось. Единственный маленький минус не было шампанского. НГ без шампанского никак. Все остальное отлично.

Hotel kamers zijn gedateerd, airco is niet in te stellen en geeft alleen warme lucht. Door de hitte is er slecht geslapen. Bad kamer heeft schimmel en de afvoer stinkt, er is door personeel een pedaal emmer opgezet met de hoop dat de stank minder wordt wat uiteraard niet helpt. Bij aankomst is er verzocht om een tweepersoons bed en alleen twin bed geleverd, […] receptionist was niet van plan om de kamer om te ruilen naar tweepersoons bed. Das Hotel ist abgewohnt und die Zimmer sind nicht sauber. Schimmelpilz ist im ganzen Bad verteilt. Die Teppichböden riechen modrig und aus der Klimaanlage tropf Wasser auf die Böden. Die Lage vom Hotel ist prima, kann aber die Mängel nicht ausgleichen. Wo die 5 Sterne zustande kommen ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar.

Ein sehr schönes, mondänes Hotel, das trotz 1a Lage sehr ruhig war. Denn die Zimmer liegen nach innen. Das hatte allerdings den Nachteil, dass sie nicht besonders gelüftet sind und ein eigentümlicher aber nicht abstoßender Geruch vorherrschte. Das Personal war seltsam motiviert; hatte man den letzten Bissen im Mund, wurde einem schon der Teller unter […] der Nase weggeräumt.... Avevo letto che bisogna evitare le stanze "interne". Infatti l'albergo ha circa 1/4 delle stanze che affacciano sulla lobby, che è coperta: oltre ad avere poca luce e vista, non c'è un vero ricambio d'aria perché la lobby naturalmente è coperta. Ho prenotato una mini-suite pensando che, costando più delle stanze, non avesse questo difetto. Invece la […] mini-suite (524) dava sul cortile interno: una tristezza indicibile! Arrivati alla sera, al mattino ho chiesto se si potesse cambiare anche per una stanza più piccola ma esterna: mi hanno fatto visitare e, al mio pieno gradimento, dato una stanza esterna, con vista splendida, enorme (probabilmente è definita minisuite, anche se quadrata) e si sono dimostrati felici del nostro gradimento. Consiglierei l'hotel per la sua collocazione, da un punto di vista logistico è comodissimo. La struttura è soddisfacente, purtroppo il servizio non è assolutamente all'altezza: il personale parla poco e male l'inglese, la colazione è inadeguata sia come offerta che come quantità #se si arriva poco prima dell'ora di termine i piatti caldi sono finiti […] e non vengono ripristinati# e i servizi di "consierge" sono praticamente inestitenti #anche se al ricevimento ono comunque disponibili e cercano di aiutare#. Für Städtereise in Istanbul (historische Halbinsel) perfekt gelegen, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Topkapi Palast, Hagia Sofia, Baluae Moschee, Zisterne, Hippedrom, Großer Basar, Gewürzbasar, bosporus-Schiffe etc. zu Fuß innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. Das Hotel wird auf keinen Fall seinen 5 Sternen gerecht. Es hat zwar eine gute Lage, und auch der Entrtee` ist imposant. Das täuscht aber nicht über die Tatsache hinweg, dass die normalen Zimmer sehr klein, das Bad sehr schlicht ist und der restliche Gesamteindruck eher auf 3+ Sterne schließen lässt. Echt katastrophal ist das Frühstück, dass zwar mit […] tollem Ausblick serviert wird, aber selbst normalen Ansprüchen überhaupt nicht gerecht wird. Mit anderen Worten, sehr schlechtes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ich werde beim nächsten Trip woanders übernachten. Devamı

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Hotel und waren sehr zufrieden. Personal war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sind sauber und das Frühstück war im 6. Stock mit Merr blick.

Dependiendo de la ubicación de las habitaciones este hotel pasa a ser de 5 estrellas a 2 estrellas. Sólo las que dan orientación Oeste tienen 24 m2 como dice el hotel en su publicidad. El resto son ruidosas, pequeñas y sin vistas. La localización del hotel es buena. A 150 m del tranvía pero sin sufrir el ruido que éste produce 18 horas al día. Nous avions réservé 2 chambres "de luxe" pour 7 nuits, pendant les fêtes de fin d'année. Or, elles étaient tout au plus correctes. Le hall d'entrée est grandiose, l'ascenseur est très stylé, ce qui rend d'autant plus mauvaise la surprise visuelle et olfactive lorsque l'on ouvre la porte de la chambre. Première soirée plutôt décourageante (très peu de […] personnel parlant anglais, propreté des chambres laissant à désirer, mauvaise isolation, sanitaires bouchés, paroi de douche cassée, travaux bruyants dans la chambre voisine jusqu'à 23h30 malgré nos réclamations) ... nous avons hésité à rester. Mais bien nous en a pris, car heureusement l'emplacement idéal l'emporte de très peu sur les inconvénients ; et finalement cet établissement bien qu'indigne d'être classé 5étoiles n'est pas si abominable ... le personnel ébauche un sourire de temps en temps ; le petit déjeuner buffet pris au 6ème étage est copieux, à condition de ne pas être un lève tard. Et la vue est fascinante. Les installations bien être en sous-sol sont vétustes mais d'une propreté absolue. La piscine est un bassinet, mais le bain turc est très spacieux. Difficile de recommander cet hôtel de prime abord. Toutefois si vous réservez à prix promotionnel et n'êtes pas trop exigeants vous ne regretterez pas votre choix, car vous pourrez visiter à pied nombre de merveilles et vous payer le luxe de rentrer vous reposer dans votre chambre entre deux découvertes de cette ville inouie. Prima hotel. Het hotel biedt vanuit de ontbijtzaal uitzicht over de Bosporus en de haven waar de cruiseschepen afmeren. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd (alleen voor de vers geperste sinaasappelsap moet je extra betalen). Het hotel ligt in de nabijheid van de Nieuwe Moskee (100 meter), de haven waar je boottochten kunt maken over de Bospurus (100 meter), […] de overtocht naar de wijk Beyoglu (100 meter), het Topkapipaleis max. 900 meter), Hagia Sofia 900 meter en de Blauwe Moskee.De inrichting van het hotel is klassiek en pretendeert een 5 sterrenhotel te zijn. Dat is het echter niet, maar 4 sterren is het zeker waard. We kunnen het hotel aanraden vanwege de ligging en het geweldige uitzicht vanuit de ontbijtzaal. Devamı

Lage des Hotels war spitze. Service bedenklich. Mussten bei unserer Ankunft (14h) noch 1,5 Stunden auf das Zimmer warten. Ínnerhalb dieser 1,5h mussten wir 3mal nachfragen ob es schon fertig ist, da auf uns offensichtlich vergessen wurde. Zimmerkarte hat täglich (!) nicht funktioniert. Wir mussten jedesmal zur Rezeption. Bei der Rezeption wurde unsere […] Anfrage bzgl Taxi mit einem Läuten des Telefons abgewürgt. Bar in der Lobby nicht zu empfehlen, da das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht stimmt. Für 2 kleine Campari Orange mussten wir 44 TL bezahlen. + großes und konfortables Zimmer - kleines verschimmeltes Badezimmer + ausgezeichnete Lage in der Altstadt Devamı

There are many rooms that does not have windows directly open to outside. Therefore, I asked to change the room. Next day, We had a nice room with a good window, that was nice, but, my watch which I left in the previous room was lost/stolen. Over all it was very bad service. La colazione non e' male. Le camere se affacciano sulla hall sono pessime senza mai la luce naturale. Molto vecchio.La camera in compenso e' ampia con due ambienti salottino e lato notte. Ottimo solo per la posizione veramente centralissimo a due passi dalla moschea blu.

Kyseessä ei ole laisinkaan 5 tähden hotelli. Aamupala oli lähinnä kammottava, vastapuristettu appelsiinimehukin lisämaksusta. Kahvi juomakelvotonta, vihreä salatti paleltunut jääkuutioille. Halvat, suolaiset juustot, koiramakkaraksi sopivat lihatuotteet. Kammottava putkistosta tuleva raadon haju sekä huoneen wc-ssä että kylpylän suihkussa. Kylpylän […] wc-ssa ei paperia, jonka huomasin liian myöhään.Suihkut rikki.30.04 aamuna ilmoitettiin että pyyhkeitä ei vaan ole! Huoonen ikunoiden verhot pari metriä liian kapeat, eivät suojaa aamulla valolta jos haluaa nukkua pidempään. Henkilökunnann englannin taito välttävä- pyysin ompelu/korjaussettiä, sain aamutakin.
