Country Inn & Suites Andrews AFB- D.C Area - Camp Springs

Traveling with wife to conference at the Gaylord National. This hotel was in close enough proximity to allow a very easy drive to the Gaylord, even during commuting traffic. The price was right and included breakfast which was good enough. The Hotel has a little bit of a dated feel - older CRT TV, etc, but overall felt safe. We always stay at a Country Inn & Suites if we can and we needed to stay relatively close to DC. The location was great, the condition of the hotel was great but our room was not. We need a smoke free room and have always gotten that staying at Country Inn. Not this time. We walked into our room and the smell of smoke knocked us over. We called the […] front desk and they came up and agreed. They were going to give us another room but wanted to charge us more. We didn't feel like arguing, 11:30 p.m., so we agreed but when we went into the next room it was worse. We settled on the first. Don't stay here if you expect smoke free rooms. Hotel staff friendly.Willing to shuttle us to Metro. Breakfast very pleasant and well stocked., Coffee available all the time. Buisness center convienent to print off emails. Lobby comfortable for reading. Rockers on front porch good place to relax. Air in rooms and hall kind-of stuffy.

It was nice and clean but kids were not too happy that there was no pool!

I sent my parents to this hotel as they visited Washington for the first time. They had nothing to say but how the hotel was in good condition and staff were all polite. They really enjoyed staying at this hotel and they say they will definitely stay here again if they re-visit Washington.

It was a very nice stay. It was not a big fancy hotel, it felt more like home, the staff was very nice. The breakfast was good also.

I really enjoyed my Stay at the Country Inn Suite AFB Hotel. Its location is right off the highway, the room was comfortable and clean and the front desk employees were very courteous. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The last green line metro stop is very close-by, like a 10 min. walk. The hotel does have a shuttle to the station, but the schedule is not that convenient. If you have a car, you can use the park-n-ride option at the metro station for about $5 a day. Breakfast is ok.

We wanted a nice place at an inexpensive rate accessible to DC by metro, and this fit the bill. Free shuttle was nice to have but a bit flaky. Second time we used it there was quite a wait. The free breakfast was good (if the corner it was in was a bit cramped; you were always tripping on somebody) and frequently restocked. We would stay here again […] . Devamı

The people at the main desk were very accommodating. When I asked for info, they never hesitated to present me with the answer. The shuttle service to the Metro was prompt and the driver was courteous. The breakfast was satisfying. The room was comfortable and quiet.

Room was comfortable - TV's could be bigger. Bed and pillows were nice. Only complaint was breakfast could be a bit smoother - more waffle makers and better selection of fruits and yogurts. Location made getting in and out of DC a breeze; especially if you used the hotel transport to Metro station!

This hotel was nice in that they let us park our car here prior to check-in and shuttled us to the metro. We we told that the shuttle would pick us up at te metro until 9 p.m. The frustrating thing was that when we called to be picked up, they said that we would have to catch a cab because the shuttle service had ended for the day (this was a 5 p.m.)! […] The hallways smelled of smoke all of the time and in the morning our main hallway had an apparent flood. Their internet website says they have free internet access, but there was not internet connection at all! Front desk said they have been having problems with the internet connection and they don't seem to take actions to fix it. Even their business center did not have internet access! Do not stay in this hotel if you need access to the internet.

Overall, the room was very clean and comfortable. We had continental breakfast every morning and was more than just danish and coffee. We had the option of cereal, bagels, eggs, waffles, and sausage. Very close to DC metro system and the hotel has a van that will take you to the station. However, we use to live in the area and were there to visit family and not to sightsee

Check-in was fine. Liked the free parking which is a rarity with hotels in the DC area. Felt safe overall. However, didn't sleep hardly at all. I was in Room 226 and all NIGHT long someone was banging around upstairs. Almost like they were jumping around all night or working on something or? I was annoyed.

The stay here was great. This is a newer hotel. We stayed here while visiting D.C. It is at the end of the green line of the D.C. metro system and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the station. It is about 25 - 30 mins to D.C. on the metro. Cost varies from one eighty five to three dollars one way depending on time of day. It is in walking distance […] though. We actually walked one night after getting back from D.C. We were slightly encouraged to walk though because after calling for the shuttle, they never came. We decided to make the most of it and walk. :) The hotel was very clean. No bugs or anything like that. No bed bugs to speak of. The room was plenty spacious, neat and clean. Everything you need is in the room including a small fridge, coffee maker, iron and board, hair dryer, etc. free internet. The hotel offers free cookies, hot tea, hot cocoa and coffee at night. Breakfast is decent for a free continental breakfast. OJ, Apple juice, coffee, hot tea, milk, eggs, sausage, potatoes, self made waffles, bagels and other assorted pastries were a standard part of the breakfast. They did seem to have a problem with the phones there and they said they were having some sort of issues with it, but other than that, it was a pretty smooth stay. There is really nothing close to this hotel other than car dealerships and one gas station, so if you need food, bring it with you. There is a pizza place and a subway that are close, but they said you need a car. We did not use these places. Devamı

I stayed in a 2 Queen bed room. Room was quite large, very clean. Fridge was a bit noisy. TV was old school CRT, but it worked well. Towels etc. were adequate but getting old/worn. Iron leaked water like crazy. Bathroom was nice size and very clean. Breakfast was decent. 2 or 3 hot things and pastries, muffins, cereal, waffles etc. 1st day the hot […] breakfast choice was breaded chicken, white gravy on the side and roasted potatoes, next day was scrambled eggs, sausage and roasted potatoes. The location of this hotel is quite nice. I have no clue why some other reviewers had concerns about the area. Seemed very safe to me. Country Inn is in a semi-rural area behind the Airmans museum. One side of the hotel is just a big open field. Behind the hotel is a large wooded area. No neighborhoods too close at all. I would definitely stay again unless I could find something closer to DC for a comparable price and quality which is not easy to do. Devamı

Excellent hotel with great rooms! Very clean! Internet a bit slow and a bit far from DC though.

This was an excellent choice for our one night stay in the DC area. The staff was incredibly helpful giving us suggestions for getting around to the sites we wanted to see. They allowed us to leave our car at their location even after we checked out of the hotel. Excellent experience!

The Country Inn & Suites is a great hotel. From the staff, to the convenience, to the meticolous rooms, everything was wonderful. The best part about the hotel for a germophob like me was the cleanliness. I could not believe how clean our room was as well as the hotel itself. The Country Inn and suites was a great value. I really enjoyed the stay because the staff did a great job keeping the place looking and running like new.

I was impressed by the room for the price we paid. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly and breakfast included in the price was an added bonus!

Close to Metro. Gladly changed us from a king to a double room with no problem. Was up to the Country Inn and Suites standards that I expect. Only problem was the shuttle. It was a very hot day and even though the Metro was only about half a mile away there were too many people to people to fit in the shuttle. The Country Inn & Suites Andrews AFB-DC area was an awsome place to stay. The customer service was superb. As we walked to our room we were greeted with the smell of fresh baked cookies for the guests.

The rooms here were very spacious, and the breakfast had many more choices than I had expected. A great value, and I will stay here again the next time I am in the DC area.

The hotel was pretty much just as the reviews said, close proximity to the Branch Ave. metro., safe neighborhood, well maintained hotel, friendly staff, nice, clean rooms, adequate breakfast, except - no fresh fruit ):. We were allowed to check in early since there was a room available, and leave our car to take the shuttle over to the metro - saving […] us from paying to park in the metro lot and having to check into our room when we got back late that evening. We checked out the next morning and took the shuttle over to the metro and took it back to the hotel later that evening. The 12:00 check out time is nice so you don't have to rush to get out by 11:00 like most hotels require. When we visit DC again this will be the hotel we choose. Devamı

It took us a couple of days to find the best travel routes into the Capitol, museum area. The freeways are extremely congested and should be avoided during rush hours. The Capitol Blvd bridge was the best option taking us 25 minutes to get to the museums.

The breakfast on both days had only cold, boiled eggs. This was less than the normal good breakfast provided at this hotel chain.

end of metro line, which is nice, first one o in am, getting a seat was easy for the 20 min ride. not much around food wise. after check in everything was fine. good rate, breakfast was just ok. very nice young lady working and cleaning at breakfast.

The hotel stay and checkin procedures were great. We liked the breakfast. The hotel was neat and calm. We like the rocking chairs outside the hotel.

Front desk clerk was not very customer friendly. She seemed to be on a personal call when we came up to complain about the microwave oven that seem to be beeping on its own when we first entered the room. She did not seem to be concerned or care. The microwave beeped at 2:40 am which woke us up from a sound sleep. We finally unplugged it instead of […] calling the front desk since we did not want to deal with her. We mentioned to her during check out and her lack of concern/action does not make us want to visit that hotel ever again. Devamı

First of all, you get what you pay for. Do not expect super luxury at these prices and you will enjoy your stay. If you are going to DC, this is a perfect hotel as it is close to the metro (2 blocks). There is a hotel shuttle, but it is touch and go - either you wait for it (sometime 30 minutes) or you are on your own. The rooms are clean. It was […] hot in DC but the AC did not function the way we expected it to. We had to crank it all the way to 65 degrees and my thermometer still showed the room temperature at 76 degrees. So either the thermostat was wrong or the AC was defective. The staff is great and so was the breakfast (more than what we could ask for). The area around the hotel leaves much to be desired but our main focus was DC so it did not bother us much. All in all, a great stay.... Devamı

We were looking for a place to sleep for one night while enjoying the sites of Washington D.C. This Hotel was perfect. Plenty of room for 4 adults, Very clean and comfortable room, a very pleasant staff and a plentiful breakfast in the morning. I look forward to staying here on my next trip to D.C.

Extremely comfortable (two king size beds), refrigerator and coffee maker in room, 1/4 mile from Metro stop (20 minutes from Capitol Hill). The staff was extremely accommodating. Breakfast was excellent (do it yourself waffles and very good coffee). Right off of Beltway. Will go back.

Nice hotel, right off the highway. It was about a 2 minute drive to the metrorail station, which was nice. Had a complimentary breakfast, which had more choices than I expected. Other guests were quiet, no noise complaints. I would definetly stay here again if I were to visit Washington, D.C. again.

Hotel was close to metro station - within walking distance (even for a young child) if you do not care to take the complimentary hotel shuttle. Be aware, however, that the hotel shuttle ends its pick up service at 9 pm. Hotel staff was very nice and gave us a free upgrade to a suite without us even asking for it. Everything is OK in this hotel except its location as it is at 35-40 minutes on METRO to the city center.

Well the hotel was alright over all. It was close to the metro which made touring DC easy. The Shuttle was convenient too. But as far as location that's it. There are no restaurants gas stations nothing, unless your looking to buy a car your SOL on outside amenities. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has a lot of Kids Groups, (School, […] Church etc.) which was a pain, they were loud and obnoxious. The Staff was OK, but not the friendliest, the breakfast was mediocre at best, but you won't go away hungry (they do have cereal and muffins). Cheap and Clean is about all your going to get here. If I had to do it over again I would have spent a little more money and stayed closer to DC, or in Alexandria. But this wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed so I have a hard time not recommending the hotel. There are alot of horrible places to stay in DC, but this isn't one of them. If they just payed a little more attention to some of the finer details this would be a 5 star hotel. Devamı
