I can't say enough good things about this Hotel. First of all, the location can't be beat. We had a beautiful view out of our window overlooking Hagia Sophia, just across a cobblestone street. The room was wonderful besides the view. The Hotel staff from the desk clerks to the concierge were as friendly and helpful as we have ever encountered. The breakfast, […] served in a the Hotel restaurant with a beautiful l view overlooking the neighborhood was wonderful, and our fellow guests were a virtual U.N. We really enjoyed staying at the Ottoman this past week, the location couldn't be better and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only issue was that the Internet didn't work on our side of the ole some had to go to the lobby or bar to get a signal. Other than that was n excellent choice among the many hotels in Istanbul.

My wife and I understood that we were not going to stay at a upscale hotel around Taksim Square and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be near all the action. It is located in the Sultanahmet area near the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Aya Sofia all within easy walking distance. The room is small but clean. I stayed at the Ottoman Imperial for two nights. This hotel is close to ALL the major tourist sights and within stumbling distance to the Cistern, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. There were plenty of restaurants nearby also. The room was a little small; however, for the time I spent in it, which was basically just sleeping, it was perfect. A breakfast […] buffet was included in the price of the room, which had a variety of food options. I also had dinner in the restaurant on the night of my arrival, which was very good. I highly recommend this hotel; however, it is very hard to find if you are taking a taxi. Make sure you have the address AND telephone number of the hotel, as many of the taxi drivers have to call for directions. My suggestion is to say its right next to the Cistern, as all taxi drivers should know where the Cistern is. Devamı

The staff were very nice and helpful but the room was awful. The room was very small and the beds too. We could barely move in the room. The bath was claustrophobic small. It was also smelly; a smell came out of the drainage or something. There was no elevator in that part of the hotel which was a huge inconvenience. The hotel is a very nice boutique hotel. The location is excellent. Walking distance to all the sites and transportation. Normally I usually never request help hotel staff, but they came to us with recommendations to make our stay perfect. They made recommendation and arrangement for two restaurants for dinner. Attractive hotel with good food and service in a wonderful location to visit the old city.

Really good find. A gem of a hotel and there is not a better location.

The hotel is in a good location in Sultanahmet, close to many of the major tourist attractions of Istanbul - Ayasofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi and Grand Bazaar to name some. That said, i would probably not stay in the area again precisely because of this reason. Food is quite expensive here and not always of the best quality. You are better off staying […] in Beyoglu in my opinion, as there are fewer tourist traps to ensnare you! The hotel itself was clean and well decorated. I was given a very small room initially, but that was soon rectified without question when i complained to reception. I was quite impressed by that. The breakfast spread is very good in my opinion, with a good mix of continental European fare as well as more traditional Turkish offerings. I would recommend staying here if you feel you absolutely must stay in Sultanahmet for reasons of proximity to the main sites. If, however, you aren't compelled to stay in Sultanahmet, then go and stay in the more cosmopolitan part of town, where food is more reasonable and you're less likely to get ripped off. Perfectly located in Sultanahmet for all the major sites in the old city. Comfortable rooms, and the highlight of the hotel: considerate and efficiient staff who go the extra mile for that extra client comfort. i highly recommend this hotel for several reasons: 1. location, location, location. it's literally across the street from hagia sophia (ayasophia), on a beautiful street near other historic gems, and very close to public transportation. 2. the breakfast (included in the price) was amazing. 3. the service was excellent.

this hotel is in a great position for all sightseeing and the staff are great, on arrival and being shown our room I was a little surprised at the small size of it, when I asked to change to a larger room the receptionist said they would upgrade us free of charge but we would have to spend two nights in a different hotel because of room availability, […] this was not suitable to us so we decided we would stay in the room, after a couple of days when we saw the room in more detail it was apparent to us that the room cleaner was only skimming over some jobs, like ingrained residue in the shower and on the doors on the shower, they were not cleaned properly and under the TV was vary dusty/ dirty, the nice curtains in the room were more for decoration than functional as when closed they were not wide enough to close out the street light, shame because it is the small attention to detail that matters and make the difference, as I say the staff were very helpful, all in all the stay was very good, Devamı

Close to everything and very helpful staff. A great value!

The hotel is very conveniently located next to the wall of Aya Sofia. There is no auto traffic allowed right outside the hotel, so the cab driver had trouble finding where to leave us. His choice was not good and we ended up walking half way around the large museum. There was a better place just half a block from the hotel. Pulling suitcases over the […] cobblestones was not fun. Tell the cab driver to take you to the entrance to Aya Sofia. The hotel is very pleasant and the staff very friendly and helpful. The need to have the hotel key tab in the slot in order to have power in the room meant that we returned to an overheated room after each day of exploring -- until we took the key off the tab and left the tab in the slot all day. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The views from the breakfast room are good and there were some English language newspapers available. The hotel is built on a hill and our room was two flights of steps down from the registration desk. The hotel staff took care of our suitcases, but the trek to and from the room through hall ways that are not air conditioned and are always a bit stuffy provided a bit of discomfort. All in all, the advantages outweighed the difficulties. I would consider staying there again if the opportunity arose. Devamı

The Ottoman Imperial is an excellent choice as a home base for exploring historic Istanbul. It is literally next door to Aya Sofia, a couple minutes walk from the gates of Topkapi Palace and less than five minutes from the Blue Mosque. The rooms are big by Istanbul standards. Can walk to all the tour sites from the hotel. The staff recommended an outstanding nearby restaurant. Dinner at the hotel was also excellent. The staff was very friendly and helped recommended where to go and what to do. They recommended a night time cultural dance and music show inclduing belly dancing which was worthe the trip alone. This hotel is a great place to stay if you are visiting Istanbul. The hotel itself is quite nice and has a great and helpful staff. Veldig bra beliggenhet, men vær oppmerksom på rommet du blir tildelt! Vi hadde bestilt 3 rom med dobbelseng, men dem prøvde å legge oss på 3 rom med enkelseng. Rommene er veldig små. Mange av rommene har ikke utsikt til noe annet en en murvegg, som er ca 1,5 meter fra vinduet. Be om å få se rommet, det er det lureste man kan gjøre. Personalet var hjelpsomme […] og veldig serviceinnstilt. Rommene som vi tilslutt fikk, må ha hatt den dårligste beliggenheten i Istanbul ! Devamı

Sijainnin erinomaisuus käy käsi kädessä huoneiiten pienuuden kanssa, ja ehkä melutasonkin: kadunpuoleisissa huoneissa on äänitaso varsin korkea ratikan takia. Muuten kaikin puolin hyvä vaihtoehto.

Som børnefamilie om vinteren har man brug for at taxien kommer til døren med bagagen osv men det gør den ikke i området hvilket betød en masse slæberi frem og tilbage ellers fint hotel.

Anbefales! Ligger midt i smørøyet ved kirkemuren til Hagia Sofia. Hyggelige ansatte med god atmosfære. Maten var bedre enn forventet og de skaffet oss Murat som guide. En utrolig hyggelig ig kunnskapsrik mann.

The hotel is very nice and close to all the main sites. However we were given a room that litterally faced a wall and did not get any sun light or view (unless you count the yellow wall). We only spent 1 night at the Ottoman and I assume that may be the reason why they gave us that room but I specifically selected this hotel based on the positive reviews […] although there were several cheaper options nearby because this was our last night in Istanbul. I honestly dont think they should rent that room for a similar price as any other room - that is not good customer service Devamı

Perfectly situated, warm welcome and very service-oriented. I booked a standard room and was upgraded to a premium at the same price. The full buffet breakfast was excellent in a beautiful terrace overlooking the Blue Mosque and Saint Sophia. I stayed in two other hotels while working and traveling in Turkey, but none was as comparable as the Ottoman Imperial Hotel.
