i had a security officer knock on our door both nights we stayed with complaints from neighbors because they would hear our kids playing, this before 10pm?? i guess it is not entirely the hotels fault rather than the neighbors who arrive in Orlando of all places hoping not to hear children but still I think they should make it clear that they are kid […] friendly so people know what to expect. Other than this appliances and TVs very outdated and dishes too worn out. Only pro is location, beautiful property and super water park. This is a vacation club I would never buy membership with. holiday inn added a per day sur charge to the room for parking,pool use,etc. not very happy. got a great price for the roon, don't nickel and dine me.

Me and my family check in on 12/27/2011, and we loved the resort and really enjoyed the time we spent at Orange Lakes. I would recommend this resort to anyone who are looking for a nice and safe enviroment for their family...

Enjoyed our stay at Orange Lake Resort..The villa was spacious enough for 3 adults and 4 children..Washer and dryer were very useful and there were more than adequate kitchen supplies to be able to cook. ...With check in .I would have preferred to be able to go directly to my room rather than have to wait to receive a $20.00 discount copupon that I […] never did use..(especially following a very long drive..) Phone calls asking us to hold for an operator to speak with us were not appreciated either... Overall, our stay was quite nice and we were even able to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool even when the temp went down to 57!!! ( robes were helpful when we came out!!!!) Devamı

We stayed at this hotel together with my relatives from Calgary. They were so impressed with the 2 bedroom suite that we're given, it was the newly built building. At the cost we paid for the 2 bedroom suite, I will definitely book at this hotel the next time we visit Orlando.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were very nice and had everything we needed for our group. The biggest complaint we have is that the pillows were extremely thick and very hard. It completely threw my back out because my neck was craned upward so much on the pillows. There were some minor issues like the shower door not shutting […] all the way, but overall the accommodations were very nice. They did try and encourage us to do a timeshare presentation when we got there. When I told them no, they did not continue to push the issue, which I appreciated. Room was dirty upon check in. Carpet was stained, towels in bathroom dirty, blood stain on floor, deodorant cover on floor. One remote broken, one remote missing. Stove top with two electric burners only had the small one working. Small part broken off from presumably the floor lamp was on the floor. A call to the front desk regarding issues were not […] helpful. We got a replacement remote within two hours but that was it. The dirty mess was an issue for us due to small children who we didn't feel comfortable putting on the floor. Maintenance came the following morning but we had to ask him to return as we were getting showered and dressed. Not sure if he ever returned as the floor was still dirty. The timeshare sales pitch was high pressure with no less than 4 different people trying to convince us what an awesome deal we were getting. The tour guy had us fill out a complaint form but still nothing had been resolved as of checkout. Poor poor service and needless to say we will not stay there again and will definitely not recommend it to anyone. Devamı

I recommend this hotel to families and couples, great price and a very nice place to stay, it is near to Disney Parks and the property has all the feasibilitiesand confort you need for a pleasent staying.

From the time you check in till the time you check out you are busting your hump to maintain cleanliness that would be automatic at a regular hotel. This is a timeshare resort and they use this website to sell timeshares. I would not recommend this resort unless you like making your own beds, cleaning your own towels, sweeping the floors, and being […] charged insane fees for items that you don't plan on using. The room was nice, larger than we expected. However, the walls were a little thin. Beware of the timeshare pushers. They will call your room daily. Also at check-in they try to get you to go to a meeting, this is a bait to get you to listen to the sales pitch. It was a surprise to learn there was an additional fee at check-in for the use of the pools […] and exercise rooms, $40 plus for this. Overall a good bargain, might stay again. Devamı

The hotel was awesome and well worth the money. The part that I found obnoxious were the people trying to sell me on the vacation club. I've been to Orlando many times and we were going to Disney so we had a pretty set schedule. The salesperson just would not get the hint that I wasn't interested.

We stay for short stay early december 2011, the service is great ant the room is very comfortable. The Resort has everything for the whole family so no one gets bored. It's less than 10 minutes from Disney theme parks, and less than 15 minutes from Prime outlets I wish we could have more time to really have some rest time in the resort facility.

Best hotel ever! Super clean and great employees.

pics looked amazing and I thought it would be better than what it was. Time share sales pitch I was not aware that I would be hit with one. We arrived late at night and it took 20 min for the sales guy to finally let go, Not a pleasant experience. We had a room in the "old' west section but it was completely redone and it was awesome!!!! Granite counter tops, spa tub, very nice furnishings.... The one and only thing that I have to complain about was the way we got roped into doing the tour. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!! I guess it would be ok if you know you are going to use the rock climbing and lazy river […] all week but if not, don't waste your time. When we checked in they kept saying we have a gift and they cornered you and before you knowe it they have your credit card taking your credit card for a deposit to ensure you will go to the tour. We had to be there at 8:15am and it was only suppost to be 90 minutes. We were there for a good 2.5 hours and boy were they pushy.... We stuck to our guns and finally after 20 different sales men we got "handed off" to, we got our deposit and $195.00 dollars that was promised. Other than the tour, it is a great place to stay. This resort is amazing with so many fun things to do for everyone. The resort is beautiful. It was a girls trip for my daugthers, their friends, their daughters and my granddaughters too. They have a tram that goes throughout the resort to all of the different areas and the kids could take off and get on the tram and go to all the places. The hotel itself was a little dated, but still nice. Large, nice suite-like rooms. The resort grounds were very nice, though restaurants had terrible food and service. No room-service! Very limited toiletries supplied. I was told at check-in if you run out (including toilet paper!), you had to go out and buy more. You also must do all your own laundry. […] (I only stayed two nights, so it wasn't an issue for me) *IMPORTANT* At check-in, you will be passed along to multiple annoying salespeople trying to pitch the 'resort tour,' vacation packages, etc. I tried to avoid them, but its actually part of the hotel 'check-in procedure.' I think I said "I'm not interested" 10 times before they finally let me go. This alone was enough to begin my stay with a bad taste in my mouth. Devamı

Great value for such a nice property

This hotel has everything you could want or need in order for your family to have a enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. Customer Service is excellent. Resort is very large and lots for the family to do. This is a place I would definitely stay at again. My family and I can't wait to visit this resort again.

Overall, my stay at this Holiday Inn was pleasant. The facilities are well-maintained, and there are so many things to do on site. It was a great deal for the money I spent. It would be a great place to take kids for a few days. The room was pretty clean--although I did find a couple of stray raisins under the bed. The pillows were old and lumpy. This resort has it all. A pool area that is a toddlers dream a separate area for older kids and another separate area perfect for adults. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The staff was amazing and the property in great condition. Stores are abundant with everything you could need. Several restaurants to choose from or order room service. This […] is a huge resort so you do need transportation to get around but it is a short distance. A golf cart is even a better choice. There is a shuttle bus. You can see Magic Mountain from the property. The downside is that you are pushed form almost the moment you walk in to attend a timeshare presentation. We did because we were so impressed witth the resort. Don't do it. The 90 minutes will turn into an all day nightmare. Devamı

Well when my Fiance and I checked in we first got a room which was not updated at all, furniture was old, it smelled and we found 2 cocker roaches in the bathtub, The blankets were so stiff and were so uncomfortable we were not satisfied at all and went to complain to the manager. Clean, Flat Screen Tvs, whirl tub in the bathroom, the room in general was alot larger and did not smell it was also in the nicer part of the hotel. I just checked out today and I must say i really enjoyed my stay. Although i didn't use the pool services because they charge for every single thing our room was great! After reading the warnings regaridng the sales presentation and the $20 certificate at check in, I was able to easily avoid any sales pitch or timeshare presentation. There was no pressure and they were very nice. Thank you to all who posted advice on this topic. Being prepared was the ticket. After checking into our room early, thanks to Tony at the […] front desk, we went about our day at Disney. The room at first glance was a little beat up but seemed ok. That night before bed however, we found a slow moving cockroach (called Palmetto Bugs in FL) crawling next to the master bed. Eew! We thought it was maybe an isolated incidence but the next day when looking to do some laundry, the attennae of a large dead roach was sticking out from between the washer and dryer. Double eew! We reported the sightings to the guest services who waived the 15 dollar resort fee. (we didnt even use the resort activites or the pool anyway). The staff was nice but operationally and functionally, I would not recommend this resort. Devamı

Very spacious! and great value for your money. The pool is wonderful, incredibly big and the zero entry is another great feature. Be sure to rent the float to ride along the lazy river. My stay at this hotel was great. The rooms were clean and pretty big. I had a nice view of the golf course and pool. I love the resort. It looks very silimar to the pictures online. Overall... It was a good stay!

Very large condo. besides the sales pitch when u walk in it was as nice as could be for a very rainy fl weekend. it started raining friday nite till sunday after a too early checkout of 10am, we didnt get to use any of outdoor facilites.

We recently stayed at this resort and I was very satisfied with our 2 bedroom villa. It was spacious and very clean. Our kids had so much fun in the lazy river.

This place is very good when you want to spend time with your loved ones. The unit we got was a 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms very comfortable. I visit Orlando at least 6 times per your. I have stayed in many hotels. I would have to rate this one on my top 3.

Hotel is generally nice, I think they charge for too many amenities that should be free to a guest, ie, the pool tubes at 9.00 a piece, that should be included in the price of the room.

We were very happy with our stay at this Hotel. Thanks to all the previous reviews, we were prepared and knew what to expect when we arrived. This is a timeshare, They give you a coupon for $20 when you arrive and tell you to take it to another desk to redeem. That is where the sales pitch begins. Since we were warned about this from previous reviews […] we didn't redeem the coupon. Also, There is no daily maid service. This wasn't an issue for us either, we threw our towels in the washer which was next door (there may be a way to exchange them but we didn't find out how). We stayed in the clubhouse which was next to a pool, If you want to go to the lazy river you will need to drive (The resort is huge). We had a great time here and would definately stay again, plus you can't beat the price. *** Also, I've seen people complain about the resort fee..... Didn't bother us. Loved resort. Will stay there in the future!! Pool areas where all very nice, the lazy river seemed to be most popular pool, before staying I did read reviews and a couple stated how lazy river was dirty, our first experience at the lazy river was later in the day and the water was a bit dirty due to all the play from the day. But the next morning the […] water was very clean and all the bugs and mulch were no longer present. Some reviews were disappointed in the extra cost that came along with the resort, for example the floats for the lazy river, keep in mind you don't have to have them, the lazy river was still enjoyable without floats. After going through the lazy river a couple times, we actually moved onto another pool that wasn't so busy. Our favorite was the 2 pools up by the reservation desk, there was one large pool by the bar, and then a smaller pool over towards the left of the bar that had less people when no activies where going on. The grounds of the resort were very nice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom on the main road in west village right across from a nice pond. We loved our condo, but felt it could of been cleaned a bit better. For example spider webs here and there in the corners of the room, and a lot of dust around the vents on the ceiling. Which this is an easy fix, by making sure cleaning crews are taking time to inspect rooms. You could tell that this is something that didn't build up over night. Other then that, that was the only thing that could use some improvement. We also knew before going that this was a timeshare resort, we actually wanted to go through the timeshare presentation to see everything the resort had to offer, we knew before hand that we weren't ready to purchase into the timeshare, but still enjoyed ourselves throughout the presentation and learned a lot, while also getting discounted disney tickets :) Overall I would highly recommend this resort!! Took my daughter to the parks for her birthday with my girlfriend and her daughter. We stayed the weekend at Holiday Inn Resort. Great value for what we paid the resort has it all and is in a great location off the beaten path, yet close enough to the main atrractions. The resort was very accomodating as we were able to check in early. Rooms were clean […] as were the ammenities, numerous pools and restaurants. The lazy river was a big hit as well. All in all we plan on returning hopefully to stay longer and take advantage of some of the "fun" we didnt have time for, jet ski, arcades, golf, etc. Devamı

Great location close to Disney. Amenities were very nice. You do have to do your own upkeep (make beds/wash towels) because it is setup to be a timeshare. Also, when you check in, the reception staff will give you a discount ticket. To use this discount ticket (wish you do not have to), you will have to sit through a timeshare that will last close to […] 3 hours (not 60-90 minutes like the reception staff stated multiple times). Our room was really nice and very well stocked with plenty of soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. The only problem was that we saw a few palmetto bugs (alive). We called, and it was taken care of right away with no further problems. We had just had several days of heavy rain, so palmetto bugs are not uncommon in Florida. Icky, but not uncommon!

My wife and I went here on our 10 year anniversary and it was perfect. We booked a room through hotels.com and got a great deal. The resort is driven by time-shares, so there were several efforts by the sales team to get us to listen to a 90 min presentation, but the high-pressure sales pitch was not what we wanted during our anniversary trip, so we […] declined. The downside is you have to pay for a lot of the ammenities (like tubes for the lazy river at $9/day) if you decline the sales pitch. However, there is still plenty of free stuff to do at the resort, like tennis, bike riding, swimming, slides, restaurants, etc. We got the cheapest room at the hotel, but it was still a spacious suite with a kitchen, fold-out couch, nice bathroom, and king size bed. Overall, we were very pleased. As long as you expect the sales pitch on the time shares, the hotel was a great experience. Devamı

Great place to stay with family, many things to do and great location for visiting Disney World and Universal Studios. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I can definitely recommend this resort.

Do not fix the room. Do not change towels.
