Best Western Citadel Hotel - Special Class - İstanbul

BW Citadel is probably in most convenient location - 20 min drive from Ataturk airport along coastline drive - no traffic jams, no turns, straight line into heart of old town. From hotel it takes 5-8 min walk uphill to Hagia Sophia and Sultamahmed tram station. A nice hotel located overlooking the sea and a short but quite steep walk to city centre . Rooms are clean and comfortable but of a small size, but not a problem since we didn't spend too much time in it as we were out exploring the city! Breakfasts are excellent with a full buffet available. Would recommend this hotel. We stayed for 4 nights.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The room had a beautiful view of the Marmara Sea. The breakfast, which was included with room charges, was excellent. A great variety of choices were available. The staff is very helpful, speak perfect English, and catered to our every need. High in cost low in services Hotel is extremly not recommend to stay in ...staff is not cooperative @ all no lift/elevator in the hotel , you have to take the stairs ,no matter hiw much tired you are from tourist place too far ,too much walking to blue masque,haya sophia & tram rooms are extremely small ,only good thing is sea view & breakfast this […] lugguage handling person always look @ you to give him tip , they take commission from taxi on customers behalf on last day this lugguage handling person put our bag in taxi ,& came to me looking loke asking tip, when he didnt recieved the tip he banged the taxi door on me ............. This is more like a 3 Star Hotel. Single rooms are extremely small. Our first room had a bad odor , they gave us a different room. Parking is very difficult to find. I'm sure they have great reception / managers but unfortunately the one we had to deal was a little difficult. The hotel is nice but the rooms are extremely small. Very tiny bathroom. Yo can get a nuch better hotel for that price in Istambul, The location is good. But no the best. It is a little far walking up to the Mosques.

Room was small. Desk clerks spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Excellent breakfasts and beautiful views from the restaurant. We will stay there again when we are in Istabul.

The Best Western Citadel Hotel was the absolute perfect hotel to stay in. Not only was it of premium quality at a very affordable price, but its location combined with the helpfulness and warmth of the hotel staff made Istanbul a dream destination for us. Additionally, it only took us 10-15 minutes to get to the city's downtown district, Taksim Square, from our hotel. The hotel staff always assisted in getting us taxis and in recommending tours and attractions to us. They truly went the extra mile in ensuring our highest level of comfort throughout our stay. The hotel was extremely clean, offered daily breakfast, a delicious restaurant and room service and daily housekeeping was always prompt and efficient. Apart from this, we had free Wi-Fi in our room, which was easier than 1-2-3 to connect to. The most enjoyable part of the stay was the stunning view over the Marmara Sea. Warm and friendly service, extra attentive reception staff. We had a very nice, big family room on the ground floor. Only 35 rooms, which makes it a cosy and very convenient hotel to visit Agia Sophia, Top Kapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and the other sites in Sultanahmet. Reasonable hotel with restaurant and buffet breakfast. Close to old city, just 5-10 minute walk to Hagia Sophia..slightly further to nearest tram. Only complaint, rooms warm at night, as A/C didn't blow cool air, possibly due to season (stayed 28-30 May).

The room is very tiny for 2 people. The bed is small even though it is called King-size. The breakfast needs to have more variety.

The hotel is nice and well located i would have much better if the rooms were a bit bigger

Excellent stay, very friendly and helpful staff, room very clean. Somewhat noisy street in front but very good view over the Marmara sea and the ships going through the Bosporus. Breakfast buffet including everything you could wish.

Step out the front door and you're on the sea, step out the back and wander along the cobblestone streets and you are quickly at the most famous sites in Istanbul (the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Topkaki Palace). On arrival the hotel showed me my room before signing in which was appreciated. The room, the service and the management were extremely kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was ample and very well prepared. This hotel made my wife and I very comfortable and relaxing as we headed out to take in the culture of Istanbul. Quite a little gem with a lovely restaurant. Overlooks the river. Beautifully renovated. The staff is very helpful and well versed in English.

Except that the toilet was dirty, and the non smoking room was smoked, our stay here was very good.Breakfast is great and all the staff very friendly.

We had a room overlooking the Marmara Sea. Absolutely charming. Rooms are tiny but modern. Could walk to Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia. Would recommend this to any sophisticated travel who wants a nice room with great view walking distance from attractions.

Fint hotell for turister og passer til familie og enkelte... Service er suppert der og usikten er fint, i tillegg til at hotellet ligger i nærheten til sentrum også i nærheten til grillfisk på skysten. Passer akkuratt for pengene.

Trevligt hotell med gångavstånd till allt, så tillvida att man inte har något emot att gå uppför en rätt rejäl backe. Utsikt över antingen marmarahavet eller gamla stadskärnan. Lite hård säng enligt vår smak annars trevligt om än litet rum. Bra frukost.

Very good hotel with good service, close to everything.

Fin beliggenhed, god service, men hotellet virker noget slidt, Der er absolut ingen handycapfaciliteter selvom det modsatte fremgår af Hotels.com's hjemmeside. Vi søgte specifikt på handycapvenlige hoteller og fandt dette hotel velegnet. Heldigvis blev problemet afsløret i god tid ved personlig henvendelse til hotellet. Vi fik opgraderet værelswet til […] et stort værelse i stueetagen, men alligevel var badeværelset så lille, at en kørestol ikke kunne komme ind. Der var masser af trapper overalt ude, såvel som inde. Vi klarede det heldigvis med hotellets hjælp, men mange handycappede gæster, som ikke er så selvhjulpne som vi, kunne være kommet i alvorlige vanskeligheder. Sehr gutes Service. Unmittelbare Nähe zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten !! Nicht weit vom Flughafen Atatürk. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Et godt hotel beliggende direkte ned til Bosporus strædet med morgenmadsrestaurant med lækker udsigt. Praktisk tæt på den blå moske, paladset og dermed "centrum" i gå-afstand. Eneste ulempe var et værelse med et køleskab (minibar) der var i stykker.

8月下旬に4泊滞在。ブルーモスク、アヤソフィア聖堂、トプカプ宮殿にはすべて徒歩で10分以内と便利は場所に立地。しかし、トラムの最寄り駅からは15分以上あり（もしかすると近道があるのかもしれませんが・・・）、トラムを使って移動するときは、炎天下の中、ホテルまでの距離が長く感じられた。 部屋は若干狭かったが、快適。バスルームも機能的で、掃除も行きとどいていた。朝食（バイキング）は、テラスで、船の往来やイスタンブールのアジア側の街並みを遠くに見ながらと、観光情緒を掻き立てるもの。 フロントスタッフはフレンドリーで親切。総合的には、満足なホテルでした。

바닷가에 위치한 호텔로 경관은 매우 좋았고 전망좋은 테라스에서의 조식을 즐길 수 있음. 그러나 접근성은 매우 나쁜편으로 택시 외의 대중교통수단은 없음. 객실은 지불한 가격대비 심하게 좁았고 욕실의 샤워부스 또한 매우 좁아 조금 덩치있는 사람은 벽모퉁이에 붙어있는 1/4 캡슐형 사워부스 문을 못닫을 정도였음. 와이파이는 매우 쾌적하게 이용했음. 장단점이 매우 극명한 호텔로 불편한 교통과 객실의 협소함을 감수할 수 있다면 이용할만 한 호텔인듯함

Utmärkt service, bra läge, rent och fräscht. Vi fick inte tillgång till det reserverade rummet på ankomstdagen, men blev väl kompenserade med uppgradering till större rum från och med dagen efter. Ligger vackert med utsikt över Bosporen och flera av de stora sevärdheterna mycket när.

スルタンアフメット駅からすぐ、時間のない人にとってこの利便性はありがたい。 周辺ホテルの料金に対して、CPが高いかというと探せば見つかる可能性はあるように思う。 スタッフは、とても親切でした。 私の泊まったバスには、ジャグジーがついていた。

酒店位置很好，房间干净整洁，只是房间稍稍小了点。酒店工作人员很热情，早餐非常好。

Gli unici difetti, la stanza piccola, manca l'ascensore e il wireless Citadel non funzionante in camera, (ma c'è free internet nella hall). Comunque questo piccolo hotel è sul lungomare, e fare colazione la mattina, molto ricca fra l'altro, guardando il Bosforo e le grandi navi passare sullo sfondo della costa asiatica opposta è fantastico, compensa […] il resto. È pulitissimo, la nostra stanza era sul mare, di notte non c'è rumore. Servizio alla reception e in sala friendly ma ottimo. The only problems, small room, no elevator and wireless doesn't working in the room (but ther's free internet in the hall). Hovwhere this small hotel is seafront and to have a breakfast, very rich, looking the Bosphorus and watching the big ships crossing it on the skiline of asiatic opposite coast, is fantastic.
