The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Our rooms were really nice and comfortable. The views of the Acropolis from the upper floors were great and the balcony/terrace was a very pleasant place to enjoy a meal. The restaurant has surprisingly good food and the breakfast every morning was fantastic and big. There was a great local restaurant […] nearby also, Mummy's Cooking, which we really enjoyed. Front desk and dining staff were very gracious and helpful. Room though small was very nice and modern. The area around hotel at first appearance seemed like an area to be concerned about. But we had no problems and a two block walk put us on the promenade to the Acropolis.

I really like this hotel. The room was nice, although a bit small, as is common with European hotels. Wandered randomly and basically made my way to the Acropolis. It's that close. The neighborhood is fine, although Athens isn't as tidy as most European cities. The graffiti and such on the streets is pervasive, and very visible around the hotel. Very helpful staff with good knowlege of surrounding area i.e places to eat and visit.Would suggest booking superior room as a minimum, the standard rooms are too small.Excellent location for Monastiraki and Plaka areas with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Overall, this hotel offered everything I needed at a reasonable price.

The hotel is great and the staff was superlative, however, the surrounding neighborhood may not suitable for all travelers. It was safe, but there was a lot of local color/character.

Just 5 minutes' walk from the Agora, O&B was a charming smallish hotel with impeccable service and comfort and that all-important personal touch. Not for someone who wants swimming pools and gyms, and Soho rather than Knightsbridge, but a great choice for our short break.

The location of the hotel is perfect.. right in the heart of Athens and on ermou street which the is most convenient place to visit all the scenic spots + shopping that Athens has to offer. Best hotel, makes you feel like your #1 at all times. Clean, modern, and they go out of their way to make sure everything is covered. Food is good, discount in restaurant, bar is very well priced. Good instructions of the city, close to everything by walking. Rooms are soundproof from outside, very quiet, staff makes you feel great all the time. I would l like to say the hostess in the restaurant was great and very professional and the night bar tender always had a smile and welcomed my wife and I every evenning with smile that was sincere and cared about our day. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was great, I really cannot fault anything. The staff were really nice and friendly, the room (although not huge) was clean with a comfy bed and breakfast was a lovely touch. Great stay in this small boutique hotel. It is in a great location away from tacky tourist areas but close to all attractions. Great restaurants and bars close by. Staff were highlight of our stay - friendly and professional at all times.

Smart, chic oasis in an area of graffiti. Very helpful staff. Reasonable sized room with walk-in shower. Good breakfast buffet selection. Close to Acropolis, restaurant and Metro station. No need to use taxis at all. Only downside is that area is quite noisy so need to keep window closed at night. I visited in December so not a problem but would have […] had to have AC on all night in summer. I was there alone to attend a conference so very much appreciated the DVD player and free selection of films to watch when fed up of non-stop BBC World. Devamı

Staff was helpful, breakfast was good, comfortable modern rooms. It's handy to the Acropolis. The neighbourhood is a bit run down, but lots of good restaurants (better deals and better food than the Plaka area).

Very close to most touristic attractions, to restaurants, tavernas, coffee shops. you almost do not need any additional transportation in the city. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. We were tired and we enjoyed the pleasant room. The location was great because we were able to stroll out to the road up to the Parthenon by only going a block through the busy streets. The gentleman at the desk voluntarily showed us where to go on a map so we could make the most of our time. They arranged a private driver to take us to the cruise port […] because there was a transport strike on the day, and this made things very easy. The room was small, but attractive and comfortable. The dining room was bright with a good breakfast offering. On arrival, a nice Greek specialty snack was delivered to our room. They went the extra mile to make us happy. Great hotel. Devamı

We liked the hotel very much once we were through the doors, the staff could not have been more helpful, but the surroundings were awful, the slums of Athens. Our taxi dirver warned us not to turn left when coming out of the hotel. Such a shame to have such a nice hotel in such a dreadful area

The young man on the desk was extremely helpful and informative. A few minutes after being shown to our room a young lady knocked at our door with a small tasting plate including an aperatif which was a lovely surprise. Room and bathroom was modern with a large shower. The only drawback was the low level of lighting in the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful […] and nice. Location was ideal for our short stay - close enough to the Acropolis and to restaurants. Would be happy to stay there again. No parking at the hotel but we were directed to a private carpark nearby which was only 5 Euros a day with an attendant who was very pleasant and friendly. Devamı

Great hotel, very comfortable, great breakfast, friendly/helpful staff, clean, close enough to walk to tourist attractions, but not on top of the madness. Hotel restaurant and bar very elegant, but much under utilized. I hope they can contine to support that service, We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast, with a good variety of eggs, bacon, […] fruits, cereals, sweets, fresh squeezed orange juice, latte, espresso, etc. Value $22 Euro.... i.e. what you would pay if not included. Only issue, we had a window facing the street, and the outside lights were difficult to block out during the evening. When we discovered the lights were in the outside window sill of our room, we asked the front desk if they could help. They told us they turn the lights out if they bother their guests. We slept much better the second night. We rode the subway in from the airport, no transfers required, about 7 minute walk to hotel from station (monastiraki). 12 Euro total for two. Make sure you are on the right train, not obvious. When you come out of the station downtown, walk down Ermou street, the hotel is on a side street about three blocks down Ermou, a brown building visible from Ermou. Thisio station might put you closer, but requires transfer. Devamı

This is the best hotel in Athens I think. Luxurious but great value - superb location. Staff is sincere and very helpful. I like Theo a lot. Highly recommend selecting this place, basically perfect. I decided to stay twice because it was so good.

Tremendous hotel - probably the best in athens. Super friendly staff, excellent location, i have very high standards and this exceeded them. i stayed with them twice, went back because it was so good. Very elegant style, quite clean, staff is sincere and friendly. It is really a gem in athens, which is generally pretty dirty.

We really enjoyed our stay .. and would probably give higher marks had our expectations not been set so high based on other customer reviews. Additionally, regarding neighborhood, I'm not sure any place in Athens would be in a good neighborhood (there were many protests going on while we were there) .. which is such a shame. City was filthy and FULL […] of graffiti. Also, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon which has a "street market" (ie garage sale) on the hotel's tiny little street which scared us to death. Avoid arriving/staying on a Sunday if you can. We had the Executive Suite which was nice - but not sure worth the price (after having stayed one night at the Intercontinental the room seemed very small in comparison and there is no - zero - drawer space). OK .. now that I have said all that, the staff is fabulous and probably the best part of hotel - besides the spectacular view. It is also walking distance to the plaka .. which we did every day, at least twice a day. Devamı

My husband and I (and our 5 month old baby) stayed here for a total of x3 nights and we just loved it! The rooms are extremely comfortable, the free breakfast was phenominal and the location was excellent (we walked with our baby stroller to the Acropolis twice). Very smart upmarket hotel. In a rather poor area but very close to the centre and handy for sights and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is comfortable and things like bathrobes, slippers, room service all contribute to the ambiance.

First overnight stay we missed the best eating and view area, but found it on the 2nd overnight visit - great restaurants and food, many with music, fabulous views of Parthenon and only a 3-4 minute walk from hotel. Loved it.

Overall, a really pleasant and comfortable hotel with great staff. At first, the location, in a small street of workshops and junk shops, was a bit of a shock. But I soon realised that it was perfectly safe, even at night, and also very convenient for the market at Monastiraki, Plaka, the Acropolis, and the Metro. After the heat and bustle of the city, […] the hotel was a cool, calm haven. The room itself was small, but well-designed, it was also very quiet. Internet connection was good, and the staff were extremely helpful in providing the correct adaptor. The shower was great. Breakfast: elegant modern setting with a great selection of Greek specialities as well as wonderful eggs and bacon. I would certainly look forward to staying there again, and in particular recommend it as a great base for independent female travellers. Devamı

My stay was very comfortable. I was very disappointed with the view from my room...there was none, it looked like a dump outside from my window. The pictures are a little decieving, they make you think you will be looking at the acropolis from every room, but infact you don't. I was paying a high sum for a room for 4 but no view and the front desk manager […] did not upgrade us to a room with a view. However, the hotel was very modern, very clean and the service was great. We spent three nights at the O&B and found the hotel to be clean and very comfortable. We had a junior suite which was the size of an average room in a US hotel, quite comfortable for a party of two. The view of the Acropolis off the side of the patio was a nice treat. Breakfast was both a made to order (omlets, etc.) and buffet with local cheese, fruit […] and homemade breads. The staff was very helpful about restaurants and sightseeing information. There are two Metro stops within walking distance and we were close to several markets where you can purchase souvenirs and local products such as olive oil, soap and honey. Excellent service from the moment I arrived to when I left. This included giving me an adjacent room when I tried to watch the football on the TV and the picture was terrible; a problem they were then able to fix. It also included be greeted with olives, tomato and feta cheese and a drink for free! I have to say the staff were a delight, full marks. […] The only downside is that the street and immediate surroundings are run down, and a DJ playing incredibly loud music on the next block - but this stopped at a sensible time. In terms of location it is in fact very good, a short walk will take you to many of the principle sites. I was there on business and broadband is both free and easy to use giving good bandwidth. So really good hotel at a good price with good service but just be aware that the immediate neighbourhood is not fantastic. Devamı
