Design Metropol Hotel Prague - Prag

Our first impression of this hotel was, it didn't look much like a hotel from the lobby. It looked more like a cafe. Even so, the interior was nice. It was modern looking and reminded me of an Ikea design from the plastic bowl chairs to the black round tables. There isn't a big sign that indicated it was a hotel rather a orange strip cross the the front […] doors and windows that stated the hotel name, that it was a cafe, restaurant and hotel. Check in was easy. We had room 301. When we first entered the room, it reminded us of a Target store with all the red and whiteness of the room. it also looked like this hotel was converted from a hostel or dorm room. The furniture was again like Ikea (the cheap looking Ikea) with a clear plastic chair and desk. You really dont have a closet. You have shelves with a red drape. These rooms arent designed for more then 2 people. You cant fix more then 2 larges lugguges and 2 people in there. Likely we both are short people so it worked will for both of us. We did have a problem with the smell of the room. It smelled like bad body odor which had us have to open the window everyday. It would come and then go once we opened the window. We figure out why that was, it was the hotel maintenance staff who had VERY VERY VERY (i cant stress this enough) bad body odor. When they enter your room, the smell lingers in there for a very long time. We where once in an elevator with an older hotel staff who at the time was serving as a bellman, his body order had all of in the elevator holding our noise and some where smirking because of it. This same hotel staff also was very rude to us later in our stay which will be mentioned and explained soon. They did have breakfast in the morning till 10:30am and it was actually a decent breakfast with good selection. They even had made to order crepes which was an added bonus. My husband and I booked this hotel for 3 nights in February. When we first arrived at 8pm to check in they told us that there had been a problem with their computer system and that they had to transfer us to their sister hotel 10 mins away just for the first night as they had no rooms available. This was a bit annoying but they were very apologetic […] and they paid for the taxi there and back the next day as well as a free bottle of sparkling wine for us for our trouble. The hotel is great, especially for the price. Its very modern and looks exactly like the pictures. There is a good sized fridge and the room had plenty of space for our stuff. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable although I think they were two singles pushed together but we didn't mind. The breakfast was good and open till 10:30, and the staff were all very friendly. Make sure you go up to the rooftop terrace on the 8th floor, the views are beautiful. Its a 5 minute walk to Wenceslas Square and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Old Town square. It was a brilliant central location and lots of small streets and lanes to explore towards the Old Town. If I ever go back to Prague I would definitely stay here again. Devamı

I went with my friend to Prague the weekend of 10th December and we stayed here. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to the Old Town and the Square. There's loads of little shops and restaurants around this hotel in the narrow cobbled street, so great to wonder around and discover new places. No need to purchase a tram/metro ticket […] as you won't need it. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. The rooms are great, bathroom was clean, room was cleaned every day, big enough for 2 people. The only bad things is that there's no Wifi in the room, the T.V isn't in english and the beds weren't the most comfortable I've slept in. Also the breakfast is standard continential - not much of a varied choice. But there's so many cafes within a 5 minute walking distance you could go to for breakfast. All in all though, GREAT hotel, great hospitality. Definately recommended. Devamı

This smallish modern hotel is in a great location, close to the Old Town and good transport links. It is compact but well designed with walls of glass to the street level cafe and bedrooms. The rooms are small but well appointed with good bathrooms. Fine for one person but possibly a bit cramped for a couple. The inclusive breakfast is better than most. […] I would certainly stay here again. Devamı

hotellet ligger på meget befærdet gade, men hvis man har værelse "mod gården", er der helt stille og roligt.

Zimmer sind genügend gross und komfortabel Eingerichtet. Toilletenartikel sind ebenfalls vorhanden und werden täglich erneuert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ein Traum, grosse Auswahl, es ist für jeden was dabei. Sauberkeit in den Zimmer ist nicht immer okej, bei uns wurde der Staub überhaupt nie gewischt, wie auch der Teppich wurde nicht gestaubsaugt. Im […] zweiten Zimmer wurde hingegen gründlich geputzt. Da hatte wohl die Putzfrau ihre Tage ;) Hotel ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Das Personal spricht kein Deutsch, mit Englisch kommt man jedoch gut zu recht. Devamı

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Vor allem besticht die Top-Lage: Nur wenige Minuten bis zum Wendelsplatz, Altstadtring und auch die Karlsbrücke ich schnell zu Fuß erreicht. Außerdem ist die Straßenbahn-Station direkt vor der Tür, genau wie viele Geschäfte, ein Supermarkt und natürlich Restaurants. Das […] Hotel ist noch neu, sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist ok ... alles da, aber geschmacklich lieber nicht zu viel erwarten. Uns hat's gereicht, zumal man überall "draußen" wirklich preiswert und gut Essen kann. Devamı

Nos a gustado mucho por el precio, la ubicacion, cercano a las atracciones turisticas y tuvimos oportunidad de almorzar en el hotel y la comida y presentacion fue muy buena y comoda. Definitivamente la recomiendo.

Godt hotel med god beliggenhed tæt på Prags seværdigheder. Venlig betjening, god morgenmad og rengøring i top. Kan absolut anbefales.

BOn hotel moyen de gamme. Attention pour la vue sur Prague mise en valeur sur le site de l'hotel il faut prendre la chambre supérieure.

Hôtel bien placé, à 5-10 minutes de la vieille ville, du pont Charles, du musée Mucha... Chambre propre avec serviettes changées ts les matins et ménage fait. Petit-déjeuner très copieux et varié. Cadre agréable. A recommander.

Hotellet har perfekt beliggenhet både i forhold til shopping og severdigheter. Litt trange rom. Bra frokost. Hyggelig betjening.

Bem localizado. ponto central. perto da cidade antiga. Excelente hotel. Good Location. Central point. Near the old city. Excelent hotel.

Perfektes Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Prag. Nah zu allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Angenehme Zimmer.

Rommet var litt trangt og prisen kunne med fordel ha vært noe lavere, men med sentral beliggenhet, hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening, bra renhold og delikat frokost er hotellet absolutt å anbefale.

Hotel w centrum wszędzie blisko, no i ten design ....polecam.

Come prima volta in questo Hotel: PERFETTO! Ottima posizione in centro, tra 2 linee di metropolitana. La camera con chiavi elettroniche di apertura, arredata in stile moderno con TV-LCD,aria condizionata,cassaforte,conness. INTERNET GRATIS! Ampio bagno con box doccia a vetri, arredato con rubinetteria e sanitari moderni. La pulizia effettuata giornalmente […] e perfettamente. Ottima Reception(24 ore), con deposito bagagli gratuito. La colazione a buffet inclusa, che pero' potrebbe essere migliorata: comunque buona! Per il resto, TUTTO OTTIMO!!! SUPER-CONSIGLIATO! Devamı

Fint hotell, tok 5 minutter å gå til torget i Gamlebyen, Karlsbroen og shoppinggaten. Frokosten var helt ok, noe for enhver smak, både brød, egg, omelett, pølser, croissanter og youghurt. Litt små rom, men god planløsning, så det var ikke noe problem. Eneste jeg savnet var stikkontakt på badet, og det var heller ikke stikkontakt i nærheten av speilet […] ute i rommet. Hyggelig betjening, bar koffertene våre opp på rommet når vi kom, og var behjelpelige med det meste. Et minus var det likevel, når vi skulle hjem bestile de taxi til flyplassen for oss, og det kom en pirattaxi som skulle ha over 600 CZK, og kjørte laaange omveier, oppi byggefelt og utenfor sivilasjonen. Anbefaler derfor at man ordner taxi selv! Vil nok likevel bruke hotellet igjen ved en evnt senere tur til Praha. Devamı
