Excellent service in friendly, relaxed, stylish small hotel.

Everything was very good with the hotel. Indoor swimming pool was of good standard, the gym was well enough equipped. If you are walking to the main area of restaurants in Funchal it is quite far. It's at least 20 minutes, maybe 25.

great hotel and facilities. very helpful staff great and not too spicy goan food (worth trying). loved the island and hotel.

For our visit to Madeira we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. We did research hotels before we booked Quintinha de Sao Joao, the reviews were the reason we booked. We booked a private transfer from the hotel as soon as we met Steve the driver we knew we had made the right decision, he was very friendly, professional and the Hotels minibus was spotless. […] On arrival we were met by very friendly and attentive staff we were shown key points round the hotel and taken to our room which was very large light, airy with views overlooking the gardens. The hotel was also spacious light and airy with gardens, terraces, 2 pools, spa and gym. The cleanliness of the hotel was of a very high standard; staff in the hotel across all areas was very friendly and they always remained professional. We were located on the second floor as is the indoor pool on 4 afternoons we had the pool to ourselves bliss ...it was like staying in a private house. Devamı

The + The hotel has a homely and spacious feeling. The staff, particularly at reception, could not be more helpful. Very good breakfast. The - The location very high up a hill, and slightly outside the centre of Funchal is a serious disadvantage if you are on foot. After a day's touring or walking, it is a strain to go out again for dinner in 'town'. […] Furthermore, the hotel management does not encourage their guests to venture outside their hotel as they offer a courtesy bus only twice a day which must be also booked a day in advance - difficult to plan as the weather is very changeable on the island. The cost of the fixed menu for dinner is too high. Our room on the first floor was noisy due to the amount of traffic nearby and the dogs barking in the neighbourhood. Devamı

The staff in the hotel were very helpful and assisted us where we needed it. The food we had was lovely. The breakfast choice is not extensive but there is enough to overeat if you need to. We were a little sad that the sports room was taken over by a conference/meeting which meant we lost the use of those facilities. It is obviously uphill as everything […] is uphill or downhill in Madeira. Overall a very relaxing stay. Devamı

Hotellet ligger litt oppe i byen, så det å kome seg til handlesteder betyr å gå, eventuelt ta taxi, men vi gikk. Utsikten fra hotellet er ikke så god, forde det er høye trær rundt, og så ligger den inntil en ganske trafikert vei. Trafikken på veien stilnet helt av ved midnatt, og startet opp igjen ved syv tiden om morgenen, så det forstyrret ikke natte […] søvnen. Det var gjennomgående god servis på hotellet, og veldig god mat. Hotellet kan trygt anbefales til voksene mennesker på ferie. John Devamı

部屋、施設が充実していて、かつ美しく、静かで、快適でした。ただ食堂と外壁を工事中で、少々ですが気を使ったところもありました。ホテルからも迷惑をかけているので夕食のワンドリンクを無料でサービスするとのもうしでがあり、初日の夕食にワイン１本を、次の日の夕食にビール一杯を頼頼んだところ、精算の際、ワイン２1ユーロ、ビール６ユーロ支払を求められていました。頼み方がまずかったのかもしれませんが、初日に言われたドリンクをサービスするとは何だったのか、言った人が精算時に居なかったので確かめられませんでした。でもそれを引いてもホテルには満足しました。

Ruhig gelegen, bestes Ambiente, feines Restaurant, vorzügliche Bedienung. Zentrum von Funchal ist schnell erreichbar, aber auch die Autostrasse. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
