Paradise Resort - Myrtle Beach

In the "Ocean View" Room, our view was of the street and the side of the next building... and between our hotel wall and the wall of the building next door you could see the ocean. When I asked the hotel clerk she said: It is not an "Ocean front" but an Ocean View".... it did not seem to matter theat 50% of the view was the street and 35% building […] walls. Devamı

I'm usually a Marriott traveler, but chose this hotel/resort because of the deal. The stay was on par with most of the Marriott stays I've had. Rooms clean, great location, and courteous staff. Did have a mixup with a late checkout request, but staff was courteous as well as myself. From me calling to see if we could check in early from the time we left everything was great. I've stayed at a lot of nice places around the country and never write reviews but felt obgligated to comment on the Paradise Resort. The front desk staff was great, room with a great view, and very clean and comfy. Will surely return. Brian

The hotel staff person at the registration desk was not very friendly and only wanted to make her little speech that she has to give to people as they register. No chit chat nor pleasantries exchanged, only a cold stare. Our room was an efficiency with a side view of the ocean. The view was very limited and there was only a very small portion of the […] ocean viewable due to another hotel next to the Paradise obstructing the vies. We tried to upgrade to a ocean front but we were told none were available yet there was only one other room on our floor that we saw guests going in and out of during our 5 night stay. I think the clerk just didn't want to be bothered with changing our location even though we were willing to pay the difference. This place does not provide amenities commonly found at other hotels. Examples, if you want to wash your hands you had better take your own soap. If you want to shower and wash your hair the same thing applies they don't provide soap, body wash nor shampoo. Need to blow your nose, take your own tissues because they don't provide them in the room. Want to make a cup of coffee or tea in the hotel provided coffee maker, take your own because they do not provide coffee or tea. I also suggest you take some disposable hot drink cups because they will leave the same 4 cups in your room without washing or exchanging them with clean cups. The room was reasonably clean and our beds were made and clean towels left every day. I could not tell for certain if the carpet was vacuumed during our stay for sure but I suspect not. The location is good because it is far enough from the center of Myrtle Beach to be a little less hectic traffic wise. Parking was adequate with easy access in and out. There are 4 centrally located elevators and the move quickly so you don't have to wait very long to get on or off. Bottom line is that we have been to Myrtle Beach many times and we have stayed at nicer places with better guests services for around the same or ev Devamı

Very quiet. Ocean view was immaculate. Carpet was extremely clean!! Staff was attentive! I will most certainly stay again!

Wasn't our first visit, but was the nicest accomodations so far. Nice condo, comfortable and conveinent. Pool and lazy river nice, beach access easy. Must have transportation to see the sights. Parking was easy because we were off season. Hotel staff was excellent, especially house keeping. Might want to stay long term during winter????

The room walls were paper thin, you could hear everything around you. Our air conditioner was broken and the hotel was unable to fix it. The women at the front desk were very rude and had terrible customer service skills.

The efficent room that we stayed in had nasty carpet and the bed was very very uncomfortable! However, the room was cleanier than I thought it would be. There also was not a table in the room to eat at even tho there were 2 chairs. The outside of the hotel is deceiving as I thought the room would be nicer like the outside, so I was disappointed. We […] stayed in a room w/ an ocean view (not ocean front) and we were able to see the ocean if we sat in a chair on the balcony and looked between the buildings. FYI- Don't be scared that their towels come in different colors (white and beige), we were concerned until we found out that the hotel did that on purpose and that the towels aren't dingy. Even though our room looked like a room from a run down roadside cheap motel, it actually had some good qualities like: the closet is in the bathroom, it's very deep. We were able to put our luggage and beach chairs in it w/ room to spare! The bathroom sink has a cabinet below and it was nice to store the extra towels and etc. inside and out of sight. The mini frig is on the bigger size so we were able to buy a gallon of milk! The microwave is bigger than expected and sits on a counter top above the frig w/ enough room to make a sandwich. Also having a parking deck to park our car in out of the weather was really nice as well. If you can get past the nasty carpet, the beds being horrible to sleep on and there not being a table to eat on, it's a decent hotel. Devamı

The reviews of this hotel said it was very clean--for the most part, that was true. But I looked at my white socks after walking around the room for a while and they were filthy, so the carpet definitely needed cleaning...This was a side view room. it contained 2 doubles, a very small tv, no tv directory, no coffee for the coffee pot that was in the […] room , and a very strange sound eminating from the bathroom, that sounded like a giant bees nest in the shower. The room had 2 occasional chairs, but oddly enough, no table, so if you brought in food, you had to sit on the bed to eat... Our room was on the ninth floor, but the parking building only goes to the 4th floor, so then you have to take the elevator to your floor--odd! Make no mistake, it was a very nice hotel, the room was well kept, but we probably won't return for a lot of little things, that if they were corrected, could be a great hotel. Devamı

I was worried but it really turned out great. First time using hotel.com wont be last.

The hotel staff were friendly and had everything ready for my arrival. The deluxe suite was clean and had ample space for more guest. Our room was equipped with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer; everything was in working order. The room, hallways and parking deck could have used some additional ligthing and or higher wattage bulbs. During the […] night these areas looked poorly lighted and caused a "dingy" look to the hotel. There were pleanty of attractions near the hotel with the main strip just 3 miles away. Beach access was easy to get to and there was ample room to socialize around the pool area. For a moderately priced hotel it exceeded all my expectations from service, location and amenities. I would recommend this hotel to families who are looking for a safe and secure location to enjoy all Myrtle Beach has to offer while on vacation. Devamı

Overall this was a great place to stay. The only thing I was disappointed in was the pools. I was under the impression that there was an indoor pool but it was still open to the outside. The staff was excellent!

The hotel staff were fantastic, which is such a rarity. We declined daily maid service, but the front desk called each evening to see if we needed anything. It was nice to get extra towels, trash bags, etc, without the hassle of full-maid service. The room was clean and came with standard amenities. We stayed in a suite. Two negatives: no in-room safe […] (get a personal travel "safe," beforehand), and no internal doors to separate the rooms of the suite. I should have noticed that from the floor plan on the website, but it didn't occur to me that the main bedroom would not have a door to separate it from the kitchen and living room with Murphy bed. The kids slept in the Murphy bed, but we had to be extra quiet and keep lights and TV down after they went to bed. I hope they will install a doorway between the bedroom and kitchen, because we really liked everything else. Devamı

My Mom and I go to Myrtle Beach every September together as a mother/daughter get away. This was out first time staying at the Paradise. Going there I was very nervous of whether or not ths resort would meet our expectations being that we were staying for a week for such a lower price compared to most other upscale resorts at Myrtle Beach. We were very […] surprised and extremely satisfired. It had one of the bigger pools of any of the other places we've ever stayed. It was very clean and pretty modern. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, whether we ran into then in the hallway or the elevators they always made it a point to make friendly conversation which is very rare to find these days. The parking garage can be kind of tight to get in and out of, but that is the same for most all resorts that we've stayed at. Overall this is an awesome place to stay, and was half the cost of what we usually pay at other resorts at Myrtle Beach. Devamı

Easy to find, oceanfront, good beach access, restaurant and bar on site, good value

It was our first time staying at the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised that it was better that we thought it was going to be (I had read the reviews ahead of time). This was a nice resort for our family- we even extended a day and everyone was very helpful.

We stayed three nights and enjoyed the resort. Two of the kids had the double beds. Our oldest used the Murphy be with a real mattress, which was much more comfortable than the fold-out sofa. This is NOT a standard feature at this property, but was a nice bonus. This is essentially a condo-tel. Each unit is individually owned and the central hotel […] staff runs it. It functions as a hotel (daily maid service, central check-in, etc.), but each room may be a little different. Our unit was clean. The furniture was pretty good, though not as comfortable as I would like. The kitchen was spartan. It was the bare minimum of cookware and place-settings. However, it had all appliances. We ran the dishwasher twice in three days. It has free Wi-Fi, basic cable, plenty of towels, sound-proof doors, strong AC and lots of hot water for the shower. We spent most of the day at the beach and the pool. In the evenings, we went to Pirates Voyage and the Kingdom Family Park, both of which I'd recommend. It is a convenient location with nice, if not spectacular accomodations at a good price. We could have stayed in the same set-up at a timeshare 100 blocks north for a couple hundred more a night and the main difference would have been prettier and more plush furnishings. We were not in the room enough to justify the cost difference. I would stay here again for this type of trip. Devamı

This hotel does not deserve the 3 star rating it has on this site. It is clean and fairly new, but it has some issues. It has only one ice machine for 20 floors. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever tried to sleep on. Not terrible, but not 3 star. Could have had the Breakers for same price.

My family and I recently stayed here for a family reunion in Myrtle Beach. There were 6 of us staying in the 2 BR suite. The room itself was very nice and a great rate. However, the customer service was pretty much nonexistent. We tried to avoid asking them any questions since they were consistently rude to us. With little time to plan, my family and I booked this hotel for a long weekend. Cost was reasonable especially considering the time of year. No pictures existed on this website or the hotels website of the efficiency room I had booked. While tiny, it had everything we needed. The biggest draw back I could mention was the comfort of the beds, they were […] hard and clearly cheaper mattresses. Again though, it had everything we needed. There are only 4 elevators so during the day they would become cramped and busy. The pools area (hot tub, lazy river) was constantly filled with people. Great if you like mingling, not so much if you prefer any level of solitude. Access the beach was ideal. They had some great midday entertainment setup out by the pools as well. Devamı

The Paradise Resort is an excellent hotel for a family vacation or a quick getaway. We were very impressed with our 2BR room and how well maintained it was. The staff was very professional and attentive. While the pool was a little small for the size of the facility, it was kept in pristine shape every day. What was very impressive, was how well built […] the room was. Eventhough we were on the second floor and our balcony overlooked the pool, the sliding glass doors were so well insulated that we barely heard anyone during the day and night. Though we've stayed in a number of different hotels/resorts in Myrtle Beach, we definitely plan to go back to Paradise Resort next year for our family vacation. Our only knocks... 1) similar to other hotels w/ full kitchens... bring your own utensils as the ones in our room were very flimsy; 2) free wi-fi is very spotty and not consistent; and 3) the bed in the master bedroom was very, very stiff. :) Again, we really enjoyed our stay and plan to go back to the Paradise Resort next year. Found a good seal in this hotel. Easy check in and good parking. Groomed beach was nice and the pools, while small, were nice. The place was only a few minutes from the strip.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would stay there again.

We stayed 5 nights in June, loved the suite, loved the beach. Beds were perfectly firm, and the staff were always polite and usually friendly.

This was a great place to stay, staff was very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to find beach wheelchairs for my daughters. Dont hesitate to ask they want to make sure your stay is very pleasing. Will stay again in the future.

Our stay at this hotel was ok, the room itself was nice but was a large turn off when we reached our room and found toe nail clippings all over our carpet. The bedding was really dirty and had hair all over it. Thank God I brought my own bedding. It would of been nice to have been told that the room was limited on all things.. We had a room with a kitchen, […] there was no soap for the dishwasher or kitchen towels etc.. the washer and dryer in the room was nice aswell but again- no soap. coffee maker - no coffee.. It would of been nice if the website simply stated '' bring all your own stuff'' and that nothing is provided. Devamı

Hotel was very clean and it was always apparent that staff was consistently taking pride in their work! Master Bedroom bed was a little uncomfortable but there were so many other good things about room, that was almost bearable. Close to everything and staff was extremely cordial at every encounter. Would recommend!

The Stay was very nice. The only complaint I would have is how some people with children act as if there is noone else staying there. The children were so loud that you would have thought they were in my room.

I will come back to this hotel.

Hotel was above average, I would stay there agian. We had a good time, parking was fine, indoor lazy river nice for kids on bad weather days. Overall, a recommended hotel.
