Comfort Inn & Suites near Universal Studios Hollywood - North Hollywood

We had a king size bed and the room was huge. It's not in the best neighborhood but the inside is very clean. The only thing we had a problem with was that housekeeping woke us up at 9 am to clean the room. We had to finally tell them to wait till checkout time to clean the room.

Hotel was fine but had to drive a couple of miles for decent dinner. Breakfast was very good.

Like others have said its not in the best neighborhood, but it is convenient to food and the hotel itslef is very well kept. The "continental" breakfast is so much more than pastries and cereal here, decent spread.

Hotel in shady part of town, but hotel is kept in decent condition. Staff wasn't too quick to deal with concerns. We were assured a fridge (& hotels.com AND the actual Comfort Inn site say NOTHING about a daily extra charge for a fridge either), but even though we checked in early we were told that all their fridges were already checked out. The location was perfect if you are holidaying and going to Universal stodios

This hotel is in a horrible part of town. Parking is underground and is not convenient at all. They double park cars so you have to leave your keys. Room was o.k. but the hotel has a weird smell. I just was not comfortable and would not stay again. The breakfast and closeness to Universal Studios is all they have going for them. Sorry!!

I was greeted at the desk by the clerk and our reservation was immediately accessed. The room was large and comfortable, and the beds were also very comfortable. I liked the complimentary coffee in the room. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, and there was a lot of variety. Hotel was clean and a decent price. The pool was very small and not very convenient, had to walk across parking lot to get to it. The continental breakfast was very good. Staff we saw were nice except for the person that checked us in. He was not very friendly and acted like he was put out that he had to check us in.

First off-- the room had a horrible odor as you walked in. Secondly, the next morning our bathroom had a leak coming from the sprinkler which caused a flood in the bathroom!! We were unable to even use the bathroom at all! Other than those complaints the hotel has potential--needs work. Continental breakfast was the best thing about this hotel.

Had a problem with the room and they were wonderful about accomodating. Free breakfast was best I have ever seen. Very good experience.

overall satisfactory. Breakfast: pretty good, but the waffle maker broke down. Room: big and clean, not much to complain. Internet: not so good. This hotel is about 10 minutes from Universal Studios, which is why we stayed there. Great hot/cold buffet breakfast. The only small negative was the neighborhood. The hotel seemed kinda out of place there. I was hoping the hotel was within walking distance to some attractions but it wasn't. I enjoyed the cafeteria. old hotel. carpet defintely needs replacement. it's not as close as they described on the website to the universal studios. the bathroom door was not working and there is no coffee pot in the coffee maker. we just stayed for one day, so it was ok for us.. the breakfast was good..

HOtel was not as close to Universal Studios as they say. But it was clean and the room was large. Small pool, only for the desperate. Great breakfast in the morning with waffles, eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Very good value considering parking is free and breakfast is included. We would stay here again.

Close to Universal Studio - parking was covered in the cost and so was breakfast. Nice staff, clean rooms. Good value for the money.

I was more than surprised with this hotel. I was a little hesitant at first whether we should stay or not because of some of the reviews, but I,m glad we did. Close to the places we were planning to visit and the breakfast was much better than at other hotels with a better category. Will definitely recommend it for a short stay.

This hotel was clean and teh breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant, however, parking was horrible and the pool left MUCH to the imagination!! The area is not a great area, and the first night we arrived we were told the parking garage was full and we would have to park in front of hotel. Not too excited about that! We were pleasantly surprised. Would stay there again. Breakfast was good. Parking was secure and it was nice and close to Universal Studios.

Just want to start off by saying my family and I were NOT satisfied with this hotel at all. We went to visit Universal Studios, the drive to and from is not that bad. The drive is under 10 mins both locations near freeway. When I got there the staff is not really the greeting kind, they seem like they could care less if we stayed there. The building […] is suppose to be non-smoking (or our rooms was as well as surrounding rooms), but our room smelled like smoke when we arrived. I called fr desk to have it taken care of and they came about 25mins later with a plug in air freshener. That finally worked the next day with the help of leaving the window open the entire time. The room was nice inside, very clean, no complaints there. The beds were SUPER hard, I could not sleep in or get a full nights sleep. The t.v.'s inside rooms are the older ones (no LCD), the window view was of the mechanic/tire shops next door (can be loud too). We met about three different pairs of employees that worked there all had the "i dont care" attitude. Not greeting at all! Seemed rude. The continental breakfast was not worth it! All they had was 3 diff cereals, coffee, OJ, bagels, oranges, apples, bananas, and make your own waffle in a machine. It just seemed like sides for a breakfast and not really a main course item other than the waffle and cereal. The itenerary in room to show local stores for food was limited. The fr desk was no help, they had no menus, but 3 of random food locstions. No room service is available here at this hotel at all! In the book in room it does not show you how to check out. The bathroom: shower head was leaking and water in the tub drained slow. All information I gave was based on the two nights that my family and I stayed here at this hotel. The Pros were: clean room, ice machine on floor and drink vending machine, tv (non LCD), parking, internet, and lamps had light bulbs in them :) Devamı

Ok the room was Very nice. Breakfast good also. Pool location is a no-go: only good for desperate kids. Parking can be tricky -if you can, park so no one can block you in- trust me. Would recommend only because room was very nice. No scenic view avail.

This hotel is not too far and very easy to find Universal Studios. The free breakfast was great and I would stay again but only if the price is less than $95/night. Anything more than that price....stay somewhere else.

We stayed two nights while visiting Universal Studios. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. The staff was polite and helpful. I read that the parking was a problem because they double park you but it was no big deal, they will move the other car out of your way anytime you want to leave. Free parking […] and free breakfast is a big plus for me. The only problems we had was the pool was not heated and our room key got deactivated somehow. Not the best neighborhood but that was to be expected given where we were visiting. Overall it did the job intended and we were well rested and started the day with breakfast. Devamı

clean room, i would stay there again. wish i had a fridge but no big deal. the only negative i have to say is the parking situation. it was like valet but i understood the situation and location.

Not the most attractive location, but the accomodations were excellant. Very clean and above average maintenance. Continental breakfast was far better than average. We would stay at this location again.

The Comfort Inn & Suites was very conveniently located to Universal. It was very secure and the room for nice.

The building exterior and garage was well kept, the rooms were comfortable and pretty clean (carpets need work), and the lobby was inviting. The staff were helpful - especially those who clean the rooms and staff the breakfast room. My major complaint is that there were too many smokers (cigarettes, cigars, and marijuana) in the building. The smell […] of smoke permeated the hallways and even the non-smoking rooms didn't smell fresh. I would recommend the hotel because of the price, comfort and the complimentary breakfast. But if you want ambiance or a place to relax, this isn't really the place. Devamı

We went here for the price and location. Convenient location from Universal - located in a residential area. The area itself is not for tourists, if you are looking for some decent restaurants. It's surrounded by fast food places. We drove a few miles to Burbank, right over the freeway, and another shopping mall within a few miles for CPK, Olive Garden, […] Chevy's, Outback. The hotel is next to an auto repair shop. The parking attendants watched the cars and it was good to know they were there. The area didn't feel safe. You need a key to get into the building. The room was comfortable enough, bathrooms clean with granite countertops. We were on the 3rd floor. Anything lower would have access from the auto repair parking lot. Think it's worth a lot less than what we paid, but it's close to Universal. Devamı

We where there for one night. The cards they gave us didn't work. We had to go down twice to inform them that it didn't work. It smelled a lot in the hotel. Like an overpowering smell as if they were trying to hide something. When my room mate went downstairs to inform the front desk that are keys didn't work the gentlemen had a cigarette in his hand […] and was zipping up his pants. Then at night the people staying right above us where making so much noise that we thought the ceiling was about to come down. We called the front desk about the issue and it took about 20 minutes for the guests upstairs to be quite. We will not be staying there ever again. Devamı

Upon checking in I was told that my car would be double parked, but not to fear, that they would have the keys if I needed to get out. I had a seminar to go to in 2 hrs and then the very next morning early. I did convince the clerk to let me park up front, but I felt for the others. Sorry but I don't trust people driving my car that look a little shady […] at best. Not to mention I didn't want to have to unload all my valuables out of my car as I had enough luggage as it was. Good hotel, but wouldn't recommend if your not comfortable with having others drive your car and don't want to deal with them having to move someone else's car if you are blocked in. Devamı

The Hotel was easy to get to. We went to an event at universal and it was a short taxi ride away. They have covered parking and a VERY secure elevator that requires your room key. The clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was HUGE.. just bigger than any could ever need. You could put two more double beds in there. The bathroom was HUGE! had marble […] counters and shower. It was very nice. They had a blow dryer and shampoo and bar soap. no conditioner though. plenty of towels and a nice clean shower curtain. The water was hit but the pressure was very low. the bed was clean smelling and feeling, but it was very uncomfortable. But for one night we were ok. I was very pleased and will stay her again. Devamı
