The Hermitage Is a great hotel located in the perfect spot for walking to main attractions. We traveled in Italy for 2 weeks and this was our favorite hotel. The staff are excellent, outgoing and helpful. They have mastered the service ethic and that makes all of the difference. My mom, daughter, and I visited Florence for three days and loved our stay at the Hotel Hermitage. The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff was great. It is located right on the Arno river and was a perfect spot for visiting everything! The rooftop terrace is wonderful. Quaint, quite ,comfortable, super service, great location,beautiful view over the city and the "bridge". The airline lost my luggage and the Hermitage staff did all the calling to get it back and delivered. Very much appreciated. I will be back.

A charming hotel right at the heart of everything you want to see in Florence; itself with period charm and a relaxed old world atmosphere.

However, I shortened my stay and even with notice the hotel would not refund any of the money and there is a nominal additonal (some kind of tax) fee that you'll expect to pay when you check out. I visit Florence at least 2 times per year, sometimes more, and for the last 4 years or so, I have always stayed here. Awesome location along the Arno at the end of the Ponte Vecchio. Staff is so nice and helpful and is also one of the reasons I choose to return. Nice, clean comfortable rooms. Rooftop terrace is gorgeous with amazing views.

In this 3 star I got more comfort and space than in all the other 4 stars that I stayed during my trip. Don’t expect excellent customer service in Europe; however, this one was reasonable. The location is the best right in the center with a view of the ponte veccio from the terrace. Everyone gets access to the terrace. All the sites are at walking distance. […] There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Wifi at average price rate only usable at the 5th floor where the reception is. No fridge. If driving, be aware that this hotel is inside the restricted zone. Less than a mile away find the Oltrarno Parking which is at the average price in town(24 hour service). If you want to be right on the Arno, and right next to the Ponte Vecchio, then the Hermitage is for you. There is a roof garden (but beware! it's where the smokers go!) and a lovely lounge facing the Arno, where you can peacefully enjoy the view and a cocktail. The problem? Location was great ,room spacious. good water pressure in bathroom, great breakfast, magic terrace l.

The location of this hotel cannot get any better. However, if you arrive by a car, it could be a problem. parking cost 25 euros per day. This hotel has the best location in Florence. You can sit on the lovely garden rooftop terrace right on the Arno,sipping wine and have a perfect view of the Ponte Vecchio. The morning light on it from this location makes a memorable picture. You can also see the Duomo, and the Plazzo Vecchio, which is quite dramatically lit at night. The Uffizi is less […] than a block away. Staff is friendly and helpful...they recommended 2 outstanding restaurants. Rooms are small, but comfortable and beds are comfortable. The only drawback was a very small shower, but that is a minor annoyance considering the rest of the hotel. The sitting room and breakfast room have spectacular views. Incredible location - steps from the Ponte Vecchio and a convenient walk to nearly every major site in Florence. If you are looking for a quaint hotel with authentic flavor . . . look no further! The Hotel Hermitage was the perfect way to start our Italian vacation. It is around the way to Ponte Vecchio and in the center of amazing shops and restaurants. The location is within walking distance of anything you'll want to see in Florence. The room was roomy by European standards and the bathroom was very nice and modern with a large jacuzzi tub (extremely clean). My favorite was the roof top terrace where we had our breakfast every morning. It was inviting and just what you would dream Italy to be. The staff was friendly, very helpful and spoke English. It took us 1 1/2hrs to find the entrance to the hotel(its tucked away in an alley, near tunnel entrance) but once we did, it was amazing-walking distance to everything. Breakfast was plentiful. Spotless room, roomy shower. Staff wiling to help, directed us to see Michelangelo's David, as soon as we got there, late in the day, to avoid lines. We stayed here for two nights in August. Florence was packed with tourists and it was nice to be slightly away from the city center. The staff was very nice (carried our bags to the room) and we enjoyed ending each day with a cocktail on the rooftop terrace. I would definitely recommend staying here on your next trip to Florence. Great location...next door to Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Staff was very nice and room was clean. Beautiful rooftop terrace with a great view for breakfast or relaxing.

Great hotel near to everything...beautiful terrace with an amazing view. Small rooms and bathroom, but expected from many hotels in Europe. Great breakfast many choices. Would definitely return. Wi Fi a little annoying...and like all the hotels I stayed there is a surcharge...which is personally find ridiculous.

Adjacent to the Ponte Vecchio, the Hermitage is also close to the Uffizi gallery and most other Florence sights. Typically small rooms, but clean and comfortable, with a beautiful rooftop terrace. Excellent restaurant next door.

We have returned to the Hermitage many times over a forty year period and have never been disappointed. Be prepared for small rooms, a tiny bathroom with shower and an unsurpassed location. It is the essence of a Florentine visit. Just think - A Room with a View!

A charming boutique hotel, in a great location. Lots to do and see within walking distance. The train station is less convenient, but not a huge deal to walk to. great location right at the bridge. room was very small with view of brick wall. very hard bed. had to carry bags up flight of stairs to get to elevator. Lobby on 5th floor.

It is located right at the end of the Ponte Vecchio and almost right next to Uffissi Gallery. It is very conveniently located to be able to walk to most things you would want to see. Decent places to eat are just around the corner. The elevator is secure so that we felt very safe in the hotel. The woman at the desk was very helpful. As I said before, the personnel were very helpful, spoke excellent English and were very polite. We could easily walk to every sight that we wished to see. We were literally RIGHT NEXT to the Uffici Museum and the end of the Ponte of Vecchio bridge. The bathroom was superior. There were good eating places near to the hotel.

The Hermitage looks good, it's in a good location, but it's very impersonal. I didn't see any Italians working there, that may be the problem. The staff was efficient and helpful but it was missing the warmth I have experienced at so many other Italian hotels. I would not stay there again. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Great central location. Small hotel. The room was clean and adequate -- although not luxurious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The common areas were very nice -- comfortable common room and in nice weather a beautiful roof garden.

We stayed 6 nights in October 2009 and thought it was a great hotel - kind of like an upscale pension with added hotel features. The location is outstanding - right at the Ponte Vecchio bridge with the Uffizi next door. Cannot be beat. The staff was outstanding in their knowledge and helpfulness. The Hermitage is centrally located: you go out the front door, round the corner, and there is the Ponte Vecchio. That means it is close to the Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, Duomo, San Lorenzo, and San Croce. And soem of the greatest cafe's known to man. This hotel is in an excellent location. The staff was extrememly helpful and friendly. They helped us find train schedules and book reservations at museums. On the downside, it was not very modern but the room size was much larger than any other hotel we stayed at in Italy. The rooftop deck is charming and has a great view of the river.

This was my second stay and Hotel Hermitage is one of the best values in Florence. I have stayed in many different hotels in Florence and Hotel Hermitage is one of my favorites. The staff is very friendly and helpful, location is perfect!, rooms clean and charming and the garden terrace view overlooking the Arno and Ponte Vecchio is amazing!

Særdeles hyggeligt hotel med en skøn tagterrase. Glimrende morgenmad (Italiensk standard), og rigtig fin service. Værelset var Ok uden at være prangende og rengøringen var fin. Alt i alt en rigtig fint hotel, uden at være luksus.

ポンテベッキオが目の前という絶好のロケーションでホテルも清潔で設備も充実。セキュリティもしっかりとしていて安心。これまで色々なホテルに泊まってきたが、おそらく最高のコストパフォーマンスだろう。唯一朝食は簡素で価格を思い起こさせるがそれでも充分お釣りは来る。なお中心過ぎるので車で移動する人にはやや不便。

昨年末に２泊利用しました。 場所は大変便利な場所にあります。 ホテルは、内装も清潔で、センスの良い家具が揃えられています。冷蔵庫はありません。 とても残念だったのはシャワーです。１泊目は水量が少なく、勢いがないなと思ったのですが、２泊目は、ちょろちょろとしか出ず、体を洗うことができませんでした。寒い季節にはとてもつらかったです。 チェックアウトの際にシャワーが壊れていると言ったので、それが直っていることを願うばかりです。

Emplacement idéal à 2 pas du Ponte Vecchio et du musée des Offices. Les chambres sont propres mais très petites. La salle-de-bain minuscule et sans chauffage. Hôtel bien entretenu mais accueil assez froid et personnel de réception très peu serviable. Bon petit déjeuner avec une vue splendide.
