Great value -- not for the super prissy; comfy & quiet. Would stay again!

i stayed there for 3 nights on a work assignment for the commonwealth. the water was hot, good maid service, clean rooms and warm. ill be staying again soon.

my wife and 2 kids stayed here for 2 nights in february... needless to say, our expectations for fairly low for this motel chain, but i have to say we were pleasantly surprised... not only with the hotel itself (pleasant staff, free breakfast and clean/quiet room) but also with the surrounding area... there were several restaurants nearby, Williams […] College a short drive down the road, and easy access to Jiminy Peak (about 30 min drive). at the price we paid (very cheap/night), would definitely consider staying here again. We booked this motel in the winter. That was our first mistake. We had a late arrival. Room # 1-The section of room we were sent to was closed the week before ( for the winter season) , yet they were unaware of this at the front desk . So we went to to get another room. Room # 2- was old , but ok looking. It was freezing cold. No heat was put on. After […] unpacking we would find part of the rug on the floor was wet. So we went to get another room . Room #3- Was 2 double beds instead of the King bed we wanted, but although cold was open unlike room #1 and not freezing or wet like the previous # 2 room. Since it was past midnight by then . We were exausted. We slept . Beds were ok, but nothing special. In the morning there was no hot water (watermain break or problems in the town ). We never took a shower there. The complimentery breakfast was aweful. The service was not very good. We cut our trip short and checked out a day earlier then we booked. Luckily we got a small refund, But still paid Much more for the one night of pure metal torture then we should have. I will never stay there again and recomend you do not. Devamı

This place was easy to find and a pleasant place to stay. Not a palace, but perfectly comfortable and clean.

Clean, well maintained with excellent service. A simple breakfast is included. This basic hotel offers extraordinary value for the price. I don't hesitate to recommend it.

The hotel was good. I was very pleased with the price and the quality I received.

This is a motel, not a hotel, and a pretty middling one. The staff were helpful and professional, but our room had an overpowering smell of some kind of cleaner. It was clean and in order, though it showed some wear. The motel is located on the main drag in North Adams, convenient to everything in the area. The surrounding area is uninspiring--a strip […] mall, a gas station and so on--so no need to ask for a room with a view. Devamı

clean room, appearance good, back stairs needs to be repaired - only metal framing with holes. would like a christian channel to be included in selections.

The A/C was very noisy. It seemed rather old. The building itself was in good shape even though it seemed to be an older building. The bathroom faucet could have been more thoroughly cleaned. All in all it was a pleasant stay, and the breakfast in the AM was convenient and very satisfying

Note: they had just experienced flooding from Hurricane Irene. The service and generosity of the staff was superb. The room was dingy, had not enough electrical outlets, the room temperature was difficult to manage, the floor was spotty, the bed was lumpy. Location was fine.

Close to town and the Art Museum and not that far far from Tanglewood.

This hotel is a dump. The breakfast is meager (albeit free). The room smelled musty even though the hotel is smoke free; guests could smoke on the balconies, so one couldn't really sit outside and enjoy the chairs they provided because others were smoking. We had wanted to check our luggage at check-out because we had an appointment in the area and […] didn't want to leave our bags in our car, but they have no place to store luggage. Great place to stay. Convenient location. Romm was good sized and very clean. Manager very pleasant and helpful. Nice view. Would definitely go there again.

Pleasantly surprised, spacious room, a blast to the past: did not know there were HJ's still around. There was mold in the bathroom, no fan, but the bed was comfortable, the price was right, and the desk clerks were very nice. Williamstown was quaint, nice to drive through, easy to find the HJ. I would use it again.

Our room was pretty dingey and smelled bad. I wish I had stayed at another hotel I saw up the road.

The hotel was clean and the people running the hotel were super friendly and accomodating. I would stay there again when Im in the area. I highly recommend this hotel.

the location and rate for this room were great, but they had not done a great job keeping up with the weather; too much snow taking up parking spaces and icy lot made it difficult to maneuver. it's clean & inexpensive - no frills.

Everything quite comfortable, standard breakfast (good), front desk very pleasant, easy to find, and an inexpensive stay in an area noted for high prices.

I do not reccomend this hotel. Although it was cheap it was dirty. Sheets ok, but bathroom was dirty. Broken toilet seat. If that kind of quality and cleanliness is what I would get for the money I would much rather pay an extra 50 bucks and stay somewhere that I know is clean. I couldnt wait to get out of there and take a shower.

There was a problem with the locks, common to me and the other set of guests I saw, the key cards did not work. But i would stay there again as an inexpensive place to spend the night while solo traveling. Clean enough, even though it had stained chairs. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. Deserves 3 stars

The hotel was old and not well maintained. The cost was exhorbitant, and although the staff was pleasant, we had to tell ourselves that we would not be spending time there anyway in order to make it acceptable.

When I got there, there was a pest control company in the lobby spraying chemicals everywhere! Gross!! Also, the carpet in my room was damp to the touch. BLECH. The guy at the front desk was very kind and nice, but that does not make up for the condition of this motel. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The carpet had bad stains on the rug and the room smelled of dampness.

I understand that a Howard Johnson is not supposed to be a fancy hotel, but my stay in this particular hotel was much worse than the average Howard Johnson. Several of the rooms, including ours, are located in a side building underneath the private residence of the familiy who runs the hotel. There was a lot of noise coming from the upstairs as late […] as 11 PM and as early as 6 AM. TV was always on and quite audible through the ceiling. We had small children who were constantly waking up due to the noises coming from the upstairs. The chain-like door on the hotel room broke the first time we used it, simply from the force of our 2 year old son pulling on the door. They didn't fix it until late the next afternoon and told me we had broken it. Okay, if a 2 year old can break the lock by pulling on the door, it was already broken. When I addressed these concerns to the staff, they were immediately defensive and accused me of lying because I just wanted to get out of my pre-paid reservation. They told me there was no way to change rooms even though most rooms in the hotel were obviously empty at the time. Because we had prepaid, they refused to let us leave and go to another hotel. I called hotels.com and tried to cancel, but the hotel managers refused to release payment so we were stuck there. Not everything was bad. The housekeeping was great. This is a perfectly fine motel on the outskirts of Williamstown. For the price, there are nicer options in the area, if you plan ahead. However, we made reservations at the last minute, and this was the last room available. On the plus side, the room was quiet and clean. The towels were a little skimpy and the furniture (chairs, sofa) were a bit uncomfortable. […] We didn't go into the pool, but it looked like a good place to cool off if you've been driving all day. I was traveling with my child, without my husband and did not feel safe. We had a room that was on the first floor with a door that was supposed to be an indoor cooridor, however the door was propped open. We ended up staying at another hotel in a town close by.

the room was ok needed a little more dusting and the air conditioning only really worked one night. we were in new section so it offered hairdryer, iron and so forth. pool was off parking lot not great for a family with little kids. It was alright for the money but I dfon't think I would stay again. sue c. cape cod
