we enjoyed our 2nights stay at orchard garden it was in walking distance of union square. And china town Bedrooms arev a good size and very clean. we will return to the same hotel again.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, quiet location, comfortable room. If not for the toe nail and dead bug on the carpet when I walked in the room, I would have rated the cleanliness higher. Suggest the rooms are vacuumed when guests check out of the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Location good for all the sights. Very close to Chinatown. Had booked a king double but we were told on arrival that they had all been sold and we were given a twin room which had two double beds. Room very comfortable and staff very helpful. Would certainly return.

The hotel was in an ideal location, at the entrance to Chinatown and very close to shopping at all the upscale stores and Union Square. We had a double/double on the street side. I had read reports that the street-side rooms were quite noisy, but we didn't have a problem sleeping, even though we were there on the weekend. The only extraordinary noise […] was a garbage truck early one morning. The room was more spacious than I expected and very comfortable. The one small criticism I have is that they should have instructions in the room as to how to use the DVD player. We had to call the desk; someone came right up and told us we had to turn on the TV to make the DVD player work. Devamı

Just realized they charged me for the room when I checked out, even though the room was paid for in full via hotlels.com. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting my money back.

The hotel was very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The location is quite good, though it's still a bit of a walk to Market Street. I didn't eat in the vicinity of the hotel, but it looked like there were quite a few places to get food nearby.

I had a generally great stay at Orchard Garden! Two issues I took with the place though: First, there was one woman at the desk who was rude both when I called to see if my room was ready for check-in and when I requested an extra half an hour for checkout due to a meeting that ran until the designated noon checkout time. She treated me like a child […] and was highly unpleasant. Second, the room was pretty small. Fine for one person, but quite cramped for two. Those aside, the rest of the staff was extremely accommodating and the room was clean and fresh. The location cannot be beat - a door down from Chinatown, great shopping, and a 10 minute walk to Washington Square Park. I'd stay again, especially if I didn't have to valet my car for $40/night! Easy to find, next door to gate into China Town. I was given choice of quiet room on 3rd floor or near the elevator. I would have preferred a higher floor, but took the quiet room. It was quiet. The room was too small for 2 people. Had to practically turn sideways to walk between bed and dresser. Nice pleasing renovation. The upkeep was scored 4 only […] because they should oscure the window where the pigeons live and poop. Breakfast at Roots was great, delicious coffee. Devamı

We loved this hotel. It's convenient to everything downtown, the staff are extremely helpful (they kept our bags after checkout until our shuttle pick up time), and the bedding is so comfortable. Anytime we go back to SF we'll stay there!

Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bedding is scrumptious and calm-inducing. The location can't be beat-near Union Square, Belden Place, Chinatown and Powell St. cablecar. Even my extremely picky 19-year-old son liked it and he doesn't like anything.

Excellent on several levels: location, room cleanliness, quality of staff, & price. The location is close to Union Square, Chinatown & the Financial District, which made a perfect choice for us. Mant great restaurants are closeby. I highly recommend & plan on returning for future trips to San Francisco.

I was there for New Year’s. The Hotel staff was very helpful in all of our needs. Gave us directions and tips to where we wanted to go and suggested other great sightseeing places. The hotel staff was very helpful in helping us figure out the public transit system. Rooms were clean and rather large for San Francisco. The room had no street noise, which was great. The location was ideal for us. Near shopping/bars/restaurants and two muni stations. Only disappointment was the restaurant. Hardly saw anyone actually eat there. Our junior suite was perfect in every respect. Clean, beautiful decor, comfortable bed, quiet and spacious with a large, well-lit bathroom. Every member of the staff was wonderful. Location is fantastic. Exactly as advertised. Just the best hotel week ever.

Everyone was very nice, friendly and professional. The bed was wonderful! I have two comments; the coffee maker and coffee in the room is dismal. I was unable to figure out how to work the machine and the coffee was weak and terrible. Coffee machines are typically relatively easy to operate. The 2nd comment is that the newspaper was at the front desk, […] not outside the door. However, because the coffee was so bad, I found myself going over to Starbuck's every morning and picking up the paper on the way back upstairs. Overall, however, a very pleasant experience. Very clean, quiet and nicely furnished. Our room was bright and spacious enough for 2. Staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary toiletries were of very good quality. Within walking distance to many good restaurants and great shopping. We would love to stay here again.

I liked the free WiFi. My bed was really very comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I never tried the food as there was too much choce on the doorstep. My only gripe was that the dressing gowns are made of two ply material do they were prone to lots of static.

We stayed here before a football game. The street is extremely congested and only a small space to pull in front of the hotel if its not full they don't have parking at the hotel they use a third party parking service expect 30-40 minutes if you try to.get your car out. When we left it took 2 hours to get our car because they lost our car we ended up […] being so late to our football game we missed the first quarter. Rooms are decent and clean but the location outside is dirty and several transients hanging around out side. I would not recommend this place the intercontinental is much nicer has in house valet that doesn't cost 45 dollars a day and they are much more friendly Devamı

We wished we could have opened the windows. SF has a nice climate, especially in October, and this is supposed to be a green hotel. We also wished we could have turned off the AC without turning off every light. Other than that, it was great.

Perfect stay for people who want to be near main attractions but want a restful sleep after long days. Very comfortable with friendly, accomodating staff. Only about a 15 minute walk to the Ferry Building at the Embarcardero and right on the edge of Chinatown.

I stayed in this hotel while attending a meeting at Moscone center for a few days. The hotel is located a stone-throw away from the Chinatown gate at Grant and Bush streets. It is about 3 blocks from Moscone center and has a ton of very nice/cheap places to eat (e.g. Banana Thai, Ramen Underground) within a block distance and great coffee within walking […] distance (e.g. Coffee Bar on Bush and Montgomery, Blue Bottle closeby). The hotel itself is very nice. The surrounding area is typical of a financial area that is rather dead at night and not very nice to look at, reasonably clean, etc. Some people used to quiet areas might feel a bit uneasy walking to the hotel at night but I felt perfectly safe. My friends from Paris, Amsterdam, London, NYC, and Nashville all felt ok walking around but a friend from a small town in the northeast did not. Other than that, great room, decent price, good service. They kept my bags until I had to head to the airport. The doorman found a cab while I sat and drank iced water on their waiting area. Free WIFI that doesn't suck (I could skype w my family abroad). If this hotel was located across market street it would easily command a price twice as expensive. Devamı

I like the green hotel, even with the small room. Unfortunately, a prankster pulled the alarm and the building had to be evacuated. I was late for my meeting the next day, and starving as well because I had no time for breakfast due to having been awake until 2 after the "fire drill." The hotel was comfortable but the room was pretty small. The bathroom door also looked like a closet door so it was different. If you check in early in the afternoon there is a lot of street parking so you won't have to pay for valet.
