We were in the area and booked the hotel last minute. The location was walking distance to the beach and restaurants. It was also on a rather busy street so there was some traffic noise. The breakfast was delicious. It is a lovely historic building with off street parking, the walls are a little thin so you do hear walking in hallways etc. But the other […] guests kept talking quiet and it wasn't too bothersome. This hotel has a great location, you can walk to restaurants and the ocean, Carmel is just a short drive away. It is on a pretty busy corner cross road, and you can hear traffic noise. Our room was comfortable though the whole place just seemed a little worn down. The breakfast was good. Even though it is listed as a B&B it is really more of a small […] hotel as it has quite a few guest rooms. When in Monterey, this is my go to spot. Staying at a B&B is much more pleasant than other accomodations and this B&B is a great deal.

Well maintained 1904 Victorian. Central location to all of Monterey peninsula. Good multiple choice breakfasts. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance (recommend Le Normande, Max's, and Fandango).

This Inn was a typical historical bed and breakfast. facility. The breakfast was good, the location was good, and there was no noise from the other guests. Bathroom facilities were a littel old, but adequate. Would not be a good room if you wanted to spend time a lot of time in your room.

I planned a romantic and memorable trip with my BF to Pacific Grove Inn B&B but It turned out unromantic and not memorable. There were several reasons why we were unsatisfied. First of all, I was deceived where location of this Inn when I booked online because It appeared as if it was near the ocean. Secondly, the room was small and had an antique victorian […] appearance but the room was not well mantained and the style was not updated. The queen size bed was small like a full size bed. The bed was so saggy and uncomfortable. Thirdly, The fireplace is gas and did not heat up the room because it's starved for fuel so I slept in a cold room. Fourthly, the continental breakfast was simple and not impressive compared to hotels and suites that we have stayed in. This B&B is run like a large hotel with no personal attention. Lastly, The worst part of this experience was the bathroom. The bathroom was not maintained and unsanitary because the toliet did not have a toliet seat. It was so unthinkable and gross! I have never stayed in a place without a toliet seat! They should have fixed it before letting anyone stay in the room. Devamı

When I made the reservations, I had chosen one of the more expensive rooms available. My wife and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The Pacific Grove Inn is located on the corner of two main roads. The road noise was easily heard through the thin windows. The room were the main bed was in was much smaller than expected. It had the potential to […] be quaint, but looked a little worn out. We ended up in what appeared to be the former basement area of the house. Any windows that looked out were below street level. The curtains didn't give full coverage, so we felt there wasn't a whole lot of privicy. There was an off street parking lot, but unless you drove a SMART car or at less nothing bigger than a Mini-Cooper, parking was TIGHT! We ended up parking on a side street so at least we could get in and out of our vehicle. The area where breakfast was served was nice and the people serving were friendly and helpful. Overall the personnel were very nice, but at least our room could have been better presented. Wish we had a room on one of the upper floors. Devamı

Well run, clean inn. Staff very courteous. Room furnishings worn, but building, grounds, and common areas in good repair. Breakfast excellent. Pacific Grove attractions,restaurants, and ocean within walking distance. Monterey and Carmel close. Fine example of a Bed & Breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pacific Grove Inn. The bed was very comfortable and although we had the smaller room on the third floor, we are not very tall and amazingly we never hit our heads on the ceiling. The breakfast in the mornings was fabulous! We also enjoyed the wine and cheese as well as the homemade cookies in the evenings. Nice room - evening wine and snacks - great full breakfast walking distance to town - WiFi and lots of other happy guests to share the days adventures with. Tried to get a room there again on short notice but no surprize they were full.

We have stayed at this inn twice. We love the location just two blocks off the main street and access to all of the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the breakfast and the wine and cheese hour. It is a real treat to have a fireplace in the bedroom.

We decided to stay at B & B's this year. This was our first experience and it was delightful.The staff was friendly, the room was quaint and the breakfast was declicious. We would definitely stay here again.

This Inn is adorable! It was really close to everything we had planned for our trip. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful! My only complaints were that the screws in our bed frame were loose causing the bed to sink in the middle, but we were able to fix that. And that even though the do not disturb sign […] was on the door there was a visitor in my room half way through my shower! Luckily my boyfriend was on the patio and stopped him from coming into the room completely. But other than that our stay was wonderful and relaxing! Devamı

Tis great Victorin B&B was very comfortable, cozy and like being at home (with maid service and a cook!) The staff were great - great food, cooked to order breakfast, along with continental breakfast items, cozy room with fireplace, near a church that rings Westminster chimes every 15 minutes - but it is not irritating - just lovely. My signifcant other and myself enjoyed a very comfortable and welcoming stay at the Pacific Grove Inn this past New Years Eve. Even though the Inn was fully ocuppied, service and personal attention to us was warm and friendly. The morning breakfast was delicious and prepaid with fresh ingredients. Lovely b& b in a great location. Just a few blocks from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Within walking distance to Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row. Staff was helpful and breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Lovely Christmas decorations, comfortable room w/ fireplace, free parking, good location to shops, short drive to aquarium, made to order breakfast and warm cookies waiting in the evening...who could ask for a nicer place to stay.

Delightful. The staff was gracious and helpful. They made reservations for us at the Passion Fish, walk able. The food and wine were amazing. We will return soon.

Stayed here with my sister 1 night. Loved the location which is a few blocks up the hill from Lover's Point and the waterfront walking, jogging, bicycle trail. The wine and cheese reception was wonderful with homemade speads. The breakfast was cooked to order omelettes with homemade jams, muffins, etc. Staff was very accomodating, welcoming and helpful. […] The manager, Jack, was extremely knowledgable about wine tasting in the region and couldn't have been more excited to share his knowledge. I have stayed at a number of B&B's throughout California, including a few others in the area, and I have to admit that this is only ok. The buildings and furnishings are older and showing wear. The listing indicates Select Comfort mattresses, which most would take to mean Sleep Number beds. Our room did not have that. Also, even though you have black […] out curtains, with the glass inserts for the bathroom door, and limited window coverings in the bathroom, this becomes a mute point. We did not stay in the main building, but the Tuttle House directly behind the main house. There is an odd smell that reminded me of paraffin wax. Someone sensitive to smells may find this troublesome, but we got used to it after about half an hour or so. The shower head needed to be replaced or cleaned. The water coalesced to one stream, but the water was hot. The steam towel rack did not work. No warm towels. We were told that breakfast would be served between 8 and 10 am, We arrived at 9 am. There were two dry cereals, 4 cartons of yogurt, half a loaf of raisin bread and about two cups of assorted melon and grapes. There was also assorted fresh fruit such as bananas, apples and oranges. The mini bagels were resupplied during our meal. There was an egg dish (think quiche or souffle) served by the cook and a portion was provided to each person. The plate was hot, but the portion was warm, not fresh from the oven and it didn't have the telltale signs of having been microwaved. The portion was unadorned; not even a sprig of parsley. About 4 people arrived after us, and choices were very limited at that point. A comment was made by a B&B staff member about the "late risers", and the guest commented that it's a weekend and you should be able to sleep in a little bit. If they indicate that breakfast is served until 10, then there should be sufficient food provided, particularly since they know how many people are staying and will be expecting breakfast. It is within walking distance of many of the sights, the staff were all very helpful and the area beautiful.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find this spot! The building was in great condition -- the owners have done an amazing job maintaining the historic character while updating the amenities to make this place very comfortable. It felt like home, but better (it is a hotel after all!). The staff was extremely helpful, kind, and welcoming. […] Breakfast was delicious -- I got lucky to catch them on a morning when the chef was serving home-made french toast with caramelized pineapple. YUM! The neighborhood is adorable, and it is only a short walk to Lovers Point where you have an incredible view of the wild Monterey Coast. I took a short walk along the bike path, past sea otters, harbor seals, and kelp beds to the Aquarium. We stayed in the Needle home, the rooms behind the actual Pacific Grove Inn, in room 14.. We liked that it was all inclusive, with a fireplace, full bath, and TV/video and they had older VHS videos to watch. But, on the downside, our door curtain was torn at the bottom, there were holes in the curtains, a medium tear in the once beautiful chennille […] bedspread. Nice to have heated towels, popcorn and refrig for my meds... cookies at night. Walking distance to downtown. The manager, help, and breakfast chef were friendly and answered all our questions with patience, even helped with supper reservations. The room was very clean, but needed those very noticeable repairs. Would stay again, but llike to be in the house next time. Oh! yes, we could hear our neighbors one side and above us, as tho they were in the room. Looks like PG Inn needs to add insulation to the rooms in the back... Devamı

Great food, very nice and helpful staff, nice inn though many of the rooms are quite small. My only criticism is that the facility needs freshening, especially the window treatments. Since we stayed there at the end of the season, this is understandable. We've stayed there before and we will return.

This bed and breakfast was great. It felt like a home away from home. The room was spacious and comfortable. The freshly made breakfast every morning was delicious. You can borrow a movie from the library- its VHS but free and is a nice touch to your stay. This B&B serves wine and cheese at 5 PM, cookies at 8 PM and breakfast where everything is homemade and beyond compare. Plus the surrounds are a wonderful victorian mansion.

The hotel is quaint but the interior furnishing are outdated and not in a good way. The curtains are old and dusty. The bedding has not been changed in the last 15 years since we first visited the hotel. The staff is rude and unaccommodating. Overall, not worth the money.

We had a relaxing stay- the Inn was as we expexted for an old Victorian style B&B. Our room was very nice and great view of Monterey Bay from one window. Hotel was clean and breakfasts were very tastey. Only draw backs are noise from street and other rooms. Bed was fantastic , I slept like a rock and awoke with little to no back pain. The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and charming. Breakfast in the dining room was a great way to start the day. We would stay here again, and recommend this place to anyone. Loved it!

I should have known with such a discount. You get What you pay for. The room was super small, bed squishy, fireplace not visible from the bed so unable to enjoy it. Breakfast is continental. We have stayed in multiple b&b before and they are so clean and updated. The people above us walked around and the ceiling creaked the whole time. We felt very […] disappointed.
