It was like the outside world didnt exist and we were in our own stress free commercial free world. Because we were off the beaten path we didn't ave... to deal with other tourist and there issues (or kids). It was tucked away rather nicely in a patch of woods where once it got dark the only light we saw was that of the stars shining through the tops of the trees. Equipped with our own little kitchen we saved money and quality time together cooking our own meals. We occasionally ventured out to the local grocery store becoming familiar faces to the locals, even if only for that weekend. It was amazing talking to the owner and hearing her tales of how she and her family laid each and every stone hand by hand down to create a walkway from where we parked to the front door. Their do even came and visited us, chilling on the front porch by our feet as we sat in our rocking chair sipping on beers and enjoying the silence all around us. Our few trips into town made us appreciate even more the secludedness of our own mountain hide-away!!
