Tan Hotel is located at walking distance to Grand, Bazar, Musiums, Mosques and public transport. The hotel is very clean and the room are good size with seperate sitting area. Bathrooms are fitted with new and upgraded fixtures. The breakfast is fresh and lots of choices. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Firstly, the location of the hotel was great! Walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar. Closest tram stop was just around the corner. Hotel staff was absolutely great and friendly! They helped us to make dinner reservations and recommended also great places for lunch. They really fulfilled every wish we had. Transport from and to SAW […] airport was very nice and easy to do via hotel transfer service. Rooms were spacious and had heaters. 9.- 12.2. it was winter also in Istanbul. =) Breakfast was great, fresh orange juice and omelet in addition to selection of bread, yogurt, müsli etc were great start for the sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the hotel was perfectly situated within walking distance of all the major tourist destinations. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Excellent location and nice breakfast.

The staffs were very kind and helped us. They took us to the museum by car. From and to the airport, you should book the transfer in advance. (to the hotel or transfer company by internet) Hotel room was nice but shower was not good. Not warm enough for winter time.

The Hotel was close to all the sights, a few minutes walk to them and all the shopping. The hotel not on a main road. so quiet. Breakfast good, staff very helpful. Great choice of restaurants nearby. The room was good, a nice size and bathroom good. Would stay again.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. It is a little "worn" but makes up for that with its location and hospitality. The rooms were very clean, the included breakfast service was superb and very helpful front desk people. A 5 min. walk to most of the major sites and convenient access to the street tram. Warmly welcomed by friendly and helpful staff to this well located hotel close to Istanbul's tourist attractions, shops and restaurants where all the action is. The recommended restaurants were excellent and within minutes of our hotel. A substantial and enjoyable breakfast was included and served in the rooftop dining area overlooking old Istanbul […] - a great way to start the day. Free internet was also available to guests. My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Tan Hotel for 3 days while seeing the tourist sights in the Saltanahmet district. It is very well-positioned - only 5-10 mins from the Blue Mosque and Grant Bazaar, slightly further from Aghia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The tram stop is 2 mins from the hotel for ready access to other parts of the city. The hotel […] was reasonably clean and well decorated. The buffet breakfast was interesting and contained some nice elements, but the more popular items ran out early so if you arrived latish you missed out. A delicious omlette is offered free for each guest, plus freshly squeezed orange jiuce; the view from the 5th floor breakfast restaurant includes the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. The main disappointment with the hotel was the size - the room was very small and barely adequate to house a double bed - not large enough to sleep 3. This, combined with the hard beds (endemic in Turkey) and barely functional aircon system made the evenings cramped and uncomfortable. I would recommend the Hotel for short visits of up to 2 people, but not for 3 or more. Devamı

Very friendy staff, well located for Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque but hard to find - taxi had to stop and ask several times!

very good place to stay. Good location and ambience. free wi-fi and great terrace with sea-view with whole day complementary rea/coffee service. Needs a little upgradation in rooms for adding sitting/luggage space.

Very conveniently located some 250 yards from the Blue Mosque and 400 yards from the Grand bazaar. Great views from the upper floor dining room and the breakfast was good. Rooms were good and the service in the hotel first class. Would definitely stay again when visiting Istanbul.

Hotel was in a great location...sites and restaurants. Hotel was a bit worn but still good. Nice separate rooms for bedroom and living area. Easy to get around city from here...major attractions were within walking distance. Public trams were right there too. A little hard to find. Print out a map to take with you to give to cab driver.

Great location, hotel maid crew was great and the food in the morning was great. The front desk crew was very frustrating. They ignored our compaint about no wifi on the 4th floor and when I asked to see Turkishing dancing, they sent me to a place to watch Swirling Dervishes. Very frustrating dealing with them.

Can't beat the location. But what they say in the guide book is right on - use ear plugs unless you intend to wake up at 4:45am with the call to prays. Those narrow alleys can be tricky. Getting lost the first time was OK to explore the neighborhood, but by the third time, it got a little frustrating.

This boutique hotel is in the centre of all the tourist attractions in Old Instanbul city, Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia are just next door. Most major attactions are withn 5 - 10 minutes walking distance. Around the hotel there ae many restaurants, many of whom have street seatings as well with ambiance. Overall top location for tourists. The hotel itself […] is very small but very neatly maintained with friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Although being a small hotel, the variety was limited but the qualiy was excellent. Especially the baguette bread was one of the best I have ever tasted. One thing that is very troublesome about staying at this hotel is that it is very very difficult to find the hotel in the first place. No Turkish seems having any idea about the hotels location. Our taxi driver could not find the hotel and he let us get off the taxi in the Sutanahmed tram station saying the hotel is not accessible by car and we have to walk some 50 meters through the outdoor tables and chairs. ( Because of the tables and chairs the streets was not accessible by car) But later we found there is another street accessible by car but one need to know how to reach the hotel. Anyone who intends to stay at this hotel is better to make sure to have all information about the location of the hotel . This is the only drawback of Tan Hotel. Once we checked in the hotel, everything was nice and we enjoyed our stay in Instanbul. Devamı

The hotel is conveniently located a couple of blocks from the Blue Mosque and the Ayasofia with sidewalk cafes just outside the hotel and a tram line a block down the street. The hotel has an incredible view of the Blue Mosque and Ayasofia from the rooftop terrace where there is complimentary tea (çai) service all day. Very nice hotel located at the heart of major tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. Hotel is in good condition and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was very good and hotel staff were friendly. Overall, great value for money and would return in the future.

We only spent one night at this hotel at the end of our Turkey trip. The location was great and the hotel was modern and for the price, the rooms were roomy. The staff was very helpful as we were trying to purchase an extra suitcase for all of our purchases. The only complaint was the air conditioning in our room. This is a very well situated hotel close to the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is also close to good restaurants.Also close to the tram system and access to ther parts of Istanbul. With the awful road congestion the tram and metro system is a good option. The hotel is well run with very helpful reception staff. As other reviewers have said, the Tan is in an excellent location, and the view over Aya Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus from the breakfast terrace is great (only slightly spoiled by a CCTV tower and a few shabbier buildings). It's a short stroll to all the sights and right in the tourist heart of the city. Only a few things stop it getting […] top marks- the bed was a bit too hard and we couldn't switch off the lights from in bed (little points which don't quite make it a 'boutique' hotel.) But it tries very hard to please- the staff can't do enough for you, it's very clean and quiet (despite the atmospheric call to prayer) and breakfasts are a real treat (along with Turkish food in general). Billigt og centralt beliggende hotel nær alle de store seværdigheder i den gamle del af Istanbul. Super service på hotellet og fantastisk udsigt fra restauranten/baren på 5. sal.

3 voksne på et 3-mandsvær. lejet i 10 dage. Enkelte mangler blev klaret af det søde personale, men ikke alt stemte i overensstemmelse med Hotels.com's beskrivelse af hotellet. Afleveret et forslag til forbedringer, - ikke en klage! før afrejsen. Stor ros til personalet!

Das Hotel liegt ungemein zentral zu den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Sauberkeit, dei Freundlichkeit und der Umfang des Frühstückes waren sehr überzeugend. Einzig das Zimmer war für drei Erwachsene ein klein wenig beengt. Jedoch will man ja die Stadt und deren Sehenswürdigkeiten erforschen und erleben und nicht seine Zeit im Zimmer vergeuden. Très bon hôtel bien situé pour visiter les principaux sites d'Instabul. De plus, le personnel est très acceuillant et de bon conseil. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Seul la vue de la chambre est un peu décevante (vue sur un mur) mais à part ça je vous le recommande vivement !

Magnifica atencion, habitaciones amplias y comodas, baño con bañera con hidromasaje, reposicion diaria de los articulos de tocador, desayuno genial, cafe (no expreso) y te gratuito en la terraza hasta las 23 horas. Muy cerca de la Mesquita Azul, Sophia y el Palacio, se puede ir andando. Recomendaria 100 % este Hotel

Hotellin sijainti on loistava, vain muutama minuutti Sultanahmetin ratikkapysäkiltä aivan keskeisten nähtävyyksien lähellä. Julkisilla kulkuvälineillä liikkuminen hotellille on helppoa. Liikenteen meteli ei kuulunut sisälle, hotelli oli siisti, aamupala herkullinen ja henkilökunta todella ystävällistä. En utrolig plassering, hyggelige ansatte, nydelig frokost. Definitivt vårt førstevalg neste gang vi skal til Istanbul! Reint og skikkelig.

Es un hotel sencillo, nada de lujos, pero realmente me ha sorprendido en todos los aspectos, atención, limpieza, comodidad y situación. Los empleados del hotel mostraron en todo momento una predisposición a ayudar muy por encima de las expectativas, siempre con una sonrisa en los labios y con una respuesta afirmativa a cualquier demanda. La habitación […] era pequeña y sencilla pero muy limpia con un baño amplio y muy limpio y una cama muy confortable. La temperatura de la habitación también fue un elemento a destacar ya que nos sorprendió un clima muy frío durante nuestra estancia y a nuestro regreso cada día, la habitación tenía en todo momento una temperatura que hizo muy agradable nuestra estancia. Me resultó un hotel muy cómodo en todos los aspectos ya que (insisto, sin grandes lujos) el hotel tenía todos sus elementos en un estado perfecto, que hacía posible su uso comodamente. Además el hotel se encuentra situado en un lugar desde donde se puede llegar facilmente a todos los puntos de interés. La estación Sultanahmed está a pocos pasos y está rodeado de restaurantes y cafés. Mi estancia fue muy agradable, por lo que, sin duda, contaré con Tan Hotel cuando vuelva a Estambul. Devamı

Hotellia valitessamme mietimme sijaintia (keskeinen, mutta hiljaisella kadulla), hyvää aamiaista (aivan loistava), kattoterassia näkymillä merelle ja Siniseen moskeijaan (yes!), ystävällistä, kielitaitoista henkilökuntaa (bonuksena loistavat ravintolasuositukset). Mkt bra och prisvärt boutiqe-hotell med perfekt läge nära sevärdheter och restauranger i Sultanahmet. Hotellets personal var mycket vänlig och serviceinriktad. Underbar frukost serverad på takterassen med fin utsikt över delar av gamla stan och Bosporen. Enda negativa var att badkaret läckte vatten ut på golvet i badrummet, men då vi påtalade detta […] för personalen fick vi genast byta till ett nytt rum. Devamı

6 dage er ikke meget til at se denne store by. Tan hotellet ligger perfekt så mange af byens "must see" attraktioner kan besøges på gåben. Brugte ikke bus eller taxa en eneste gang. Llegamos perfectamente al hotel desdel el aeropuerto en metro y tranvia. Este último está a un minuto del hotel. La situación del hotel es inmejorable se encuentra en todo elentro de Sultanamet, que para mí es la mejor zona para visitar el Estambul clásico. Está al lado de la Mezquita Azul, de Santa Sofia, de las cisternas, de Tokapi, etc. El hotel […] es muy práctico, el desayuno muy bueno y muy bien atendido (con zumo natural y huevos recien hechos, si te apetece); las vistas espléndidas. Nosotros lo único malo que tuvimos fue el tiempo (hizzo mucho frio, lluvia y nieve), pero gracias que el hotel estaba cerca podíamos subir y bajar y así nos calentábamos un poco. El baño tiene bañera con jacuzzi. El comedor que está en la terraza te ofrece, ya lo he dicho muy buenos desayunos, y además si quieres puedes tomar en cualquier momento un té, café gratuitamente.
